    *Quasi-Official ENVY 14 discounts, delays, "mine is shipping" lounge*

    I'd love to be able to know whether those of us still in Anchorage will receive our shipments on Monday, or will it be Tuesday.

    There seem to be different answers, depending upon whom we ask, or where we look for the information.

    Fedex told me that the packages will not be going anywhere at all, until Sunday night. But, they've told others that the remaining packages will be leaving Anchorage tonight, for the respective sorting hubs.

    And still others have been told that they will not be even shipped out of Alaska until actually Monday night, meaning we won't be receiving them until Tuesday.

    And finally, Has anyone gotten a solid answer on whether or not we can actually pick these up from our local Fedex offices or hubs, just in case they do ship out tonight, and are at their local Fedex facilities by tomorrow?

    Your not supposed to be able to pick them up on Saturday because of the type of shipping that HP ordered, but if they ship out tonight and it seems that they will be at the local distribution centers by tomorrow, then you can call HP and ask them if they can remove the hold on the shipping.

    Do you (or anyone) know if it is supposed to take 2 or 3 business days to get the hold removed, or is this something that HP could do while we wait over the phone?

    Mine's in Anchorage, but the delivery date is the 20th (as it always has been). Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't ship till Sunday. Lame :(

    It can be done over the phone, but only once HP and Fedex see that your package is on the plane and will make it to the center by Saturday.

    Dude its 3:56 PM (EST) and I still haven't received my 1st Envy :(. Just dying to admire its build asap...would be an awful shame if I don't get it today.

    To those in a similar situation with Bing, it appears I'm around 24 hours ahead in this process compared to most of you. Hopefully this will give you hope!

    It now shows up in my account and the confirmation email has arrived as well!!

    Hi, I've been lurking for a while and ordered an Envy when the first 30% BCB hit. I recently called HP to ask about the slice battery, and after the lady checked she said there were no compatible extended batteries. Before I could correct her she offered me $100 "to satisfy" me, so I kept my mouth shut.

    I remember seeing a post in the mega-thread (when this was combined with the other) with a screenshot showing credits posted to your account, and I was wondering where to find that. HP's site kinda sucks; the only account options I see are order history, and editing billing information.

    So how long did it take after the laptop shipped for the guys that were promised credit to go back on your card?
    I see the credit as an order on the HP site, but I still haven't received the credit. My statement comes tomorrow so I want to pay off the card, but Im afraid to pay off the full amount since I am supposed to get the $200 credit. My computer shipped out the 14th and the credit showed up on the website an hour after my order shipped email came.

    i called in to "change my configuration" but was only offered a $70 credit :(

    All in all, I should be receiving my E14 w/ i5-450m + 6gb ram for:

    1365 - 375 (Bing) - 62 (Discover) - 70 (HP) = $858

    Not too shabby. nyuk nyuk

    I too was only offered $70. I asked for a bit more, they offered $80. Then I said how about you give $100 and I won't cancel. They bit. I got $100 off.

    O and realize that since they're giving you this credit, it might affect the amount of money you're getting from any cash backs, since they depend on how much you paid for the system

    Doubt it. I've never heard of anyone getting their BCB altered except when when they had to ask a Bing CSR to raise their cashback amount from 5% to 30%.

    BCB depends on the price you paid for the laptop. If you get credited $100, wouldn't you pay x-100 where x is the price you paid for the system prior tax and recycling where applicable? Thus your BCB is .30(x-100). not .30(x).

    I'm just pointing out the fact that because HP gave you credit back, you BCB will decrease a few dollars because you no longer paid the sticker price of the laptop. Your BCB won't be cancelled, it will only decrease because of the credit.

    Well, the post I made earlier this morning....forgot I ever posted it...That guy Daniel was full of BS and didn't send the email as promised. I should have known since he asked me to take the survey, and had the nerve to put all 9's for him. So I'm going to call back, and tell them that he was just kissing my butt to get good ratings which he does not deserve.

    HP pretty much effed most of us on this forum, especially those who ordered first but for delayed until the 20th-ish. Yep....so lesson learned...NEVER believe what those reps have to say to you.

    Agreed. I tried calling HP again just to see what the deal was at 3:30 P.M. EST. The freaking idiot told me it was on time for delivery and that it would get here today. I then informed them that Alaska is pretty far away from the East Coast, and there was no physical way for it to go from Alaska to NC in 60 minutes. They then repeated what they said, that by looking at FedEx's site they saw that the est. delivery was today. ...are they really that stupid?


    Oh, and what's up with this? Is it never going to arrive?

    NO use in calling fedex anymore...the main office that knows stuff close at 6 central time.

    EDIT: Actually, maybe fedex workers actually know what's going on...but reps at HP are clueless.

    Oh and BTW ChemE, the many reps I called today also told me that its on time when I clearly told them in the beginning that my envy didnt make it on time because HP lagged on the paperwork.

    Once again, I agree! With the exception of a couple of people here who need a machine for work by a specific date and myself, dem whipper snappers can't sit still in them seats!


    I need mine delivered by the 1st, otherwise I'll need to reroute the destination.

    Can I ask you if your BCB issue is similar to mine?

    I took advantage of the 30% the first time around, and was well within the time limit of when it switched back to 5%, so no issue there.

    Yet, I never received the cashback or any email.

    Ordered lappy and opened BCB case on the 12th,
    Told to wait 48 hrs...waited
    emailed a PDF of my receipt over 30 hours ago as requested, but have not heard back yet.

    Also, they kept switching CSR's on me.

    Do you think they will honor the CB?

    My estimated delivery time disappeared too... I don't feel like calling fed-ex though, as i needed it today for work over the weekend, and after this it doesn't matter all that much. Monday would be nice though.

    If anyone in my boat calls fedex or gets an update somehow that confirms the packages are indeed going to come, please share.

    Mine disappeared as well. I'll call them in a bit to see what's up with the delivery...but when i called this morning, I was told that mine is scheduled to ship out tonight. If I do see it at my local fedex place in the morning, I'm going to take a shot and pick it up since HP told me that they "100% guarantee" that they will release my package for pick up if i have fedex call them to confirm. I'm gonna call out BS on HPs part right now...but I'm still going to give it a shot because I need to get my laptop ready before summer school starts at the end of this month.

    Pretty close to the same.

    I ordered during the 1st 30%, no pending payment, no email confirmation. Opened a ticket several hours after ordering, then immediately uploaded 5 screen shots of entire transaction and pdfs of hp receipt and paypal confirmation.

    ~24 hrs later CSR replied, said he was escalating it.

    ~24 hrs later escalation specialist said he was opening a ticket w/ research team.

    ~48 hours later was given email posted here earlier today. Soon after confirmation email arrived and cashback of $531.05 shows as pending on my Bing dashboard.

    UPDATE: Well, I just called Fedex, and the rep that I spoke to was incredibly nice. When I asked him if I could pick up my package at the facility, he automatically got in touch with this lady in charge of the shipping. It is going to ship out tonight for sure, but they are not so sure about whether the "containers" they are in will be unlocked. But I like how they were honest with me unlike HP, nothing is really their fault, right? Anyways, once he sent a message to the lady up top, she automatically sent him a reply and asked for my info, and she will personally call me and update me with the status of my package, and whether or not it is available for pickup.

    Hi, everyone. I am an international student here. And I am going to China on July 29th. I placed an order of Envy 14 on June 30th and the original shipping date was July 12th. However, I got an E-mail on July 13th that my order is delayed to July 23th. However, I need to get my computer on July 28th. I don't know what to do now. HP's service is terrible.
