Mine just left too! I checked flightaware.com to look for the next departure time for Los Angeles, and it was at 5:07pm alaska time, and i check back on my status, its now departed! I'm going to pick it up one way or another.

I live in California and my Envy14 is heading to Memphis, Tennessee.

 

I called fedex and asked where my package will be. mine will be at the one in costa mesa...its closest to where i live.

No... but I used FlightAware.com and there are no direct Fedex Flights from Anchorage to KLAX or anywhere near CA. The time when my Envy14 departed (from Fedex.com) is the same as the departure time of a particular Fedex flight from Anchorage to Memphis. It's only my speculation, considering that Memphis is the central hub and the fact that others' Envy14s also went to Memphis.

 

Got the facility that my package will most likely be at tomorrow from the international customer service representative.

The standard customer service person kept saying my package was currently in Kansas, as he didn't know where Anchorage was actually located. Ignoring the fact my Envy is on a flight headed for Memphis, TN.

Alright. Quick question. I ordered on the 12th and was given an estimated ship date of the 22nd, which gives HP 10 days to build it. The order was dropped on the 13th and went into production on the 14th.


Is there a good chance HP could end up shipping it earlier than the 22nd, or should I be prepared for a delay??

I'm in a similar position. As of this post (10:15PM EST, July 16th) the order is still in production. Hopefully, it will ship either tomorrow on the beginning of next week, meaning the 19th. I'd really like to have it ship before the 22nd, because that is a Thursday and 2 Day shipping will mean monday of next week, not Saturday.

 

After hearing the reviews about excessive keyboard flex, I'm definitely getting an extra $100 off. No way on Earth I'm paying $1,000+ for this machine. Luxury notebooks don't have keyboard flex. Shame on HP for cheaping out. They should've stuck with the Envy 15's keyboard layout/design/schematics!

I havent heard of excessive flex either....just a little that people say isnt noticeable without trying to flex it.

to go off of your off topic note, inception is the first movie ive wanted to see in theatres in about 5 years. It will be the second if gone to in 5 years though, because i had to be dragged to the hideousness of Avatar.

I am trying to get my BCB honored as well. I purchased while it was 30%, but I received nothing in my BCB account and no email from them.

I have a case open, but they are extremely non-responsive, taking about 36 hours to respond to my initial request. After that they changed CSR's on me and asked me for the same info I had already posted. I re-submitted my PDF receipt, and now it's been another 36 hours and I have heard nothing.

You said you sent 5 emails already? That makes me think you are getting a much quicker response time than me...Is that due to you posting on the forum? Does that hurry them up? I'm getting very frustrated just waiting for them...

My response time by email was about one every 24 hours. I think that posting on the forum definately helped move things along a bit. I'm not sure if the forum actually did anything but it definately felt better to me than just sitting and waiting.

Sooooo.....how long did it take for the Envy to get built? How many days passed between order day and ship date?

 

Me? June 27th to July 12th. It was supposed to be June 27th to July 7th but there was a delay

 

Damn. That's over two weeks. I better cross my fingers! If it doesn't ship by next Thursday, I'm going to have to draw up contingency plans.

On another subject which where the other discounts stackable with the hp student discount? With my luck I might have to use those.

 

If customs are normal (meaning you get a shipment exception for customs in shanghai and a regular clearance delay in Alaska like I did because HP is terrible with paperwork) well. You get it in 5 days (monday to friday)

Once it ships out from alaska there's a few flights. one to oakland, one to memphis. one to...wherever the third one went.


If you're unlucky you'll get trapped in alaska over the weekend like the poor souls who aren't getting theirs til the 20th

i believe 2.0 said you need a number of posts before you can personally PM people...it's to stop spammers i think. go get like 10 posts and i think you should be fine..it might even be 5, i'm not sure. yes you can forward pm's to your email. at User CP, go to the settings and options column and click edit options. then, check the options you want under "private messages"

Mine was ordered July 5th, shipped July 13, and will be at my local facility July 18th.

 

You can try "multidipping" alongside fatwallet, Mr. Rebates, Big Crumbs, and E-Bates. I tried triple-dipping, with the first 3, but Big Crumbs didn't go through for one reason or another. I'm hoping BCB doesn't get canceled. If you're using student discount, my advice is stack all 4 cashbacks with it and try to get up to $200 back from HP. I've heard of people getting more.

 

I'm just afraid that they might cancel some of the cashbacks on me. And frankly I didn't know you could stack all of them like that. I assumed since you were required to go through their webpages that wasn't possible. Could you explain how you went about "multidipping". Thanks.
