    Bro, don't worry about cancellation--I don't think you're supposed to get discounts on top of 10% student anyway. Just think of it as a possible extra bonus that you MIGHT not get. All you need to do is visit each one of those cashback websites, visit the HP store listed with them then log in with your username you have with each one (or the other way, forgot, shouldn't matter) for each one. One at a time. Make sure your cookies aren't disabled. Don't try to stack Student 10% with Bing as the former will only cancel out the latter 30-60 days later.

    We can always wish, but that would have probably been a bit insane and unbelievable.

    Anyways don't go wasting money because of the overstock 30% if there's nothing good to get. It'll be like more pocket money for when you actually want to go get some accessories or something.

    Hey guys. With all the complaints about the problems of the E14, how does HP handle exchanges? I mean, I don't believe that I can find a better computer at a lower price, so if there's something really effed up with my E14 when it gets here, can I just exchange it? I'm asking mostly cause if I return it and order another, I'd lose out on the 30% BCB which was one of the reasons I was able to buy this.

    A select few are saying there's gaps in the body, some flexing, scuff marks, improperly placed logo lights, strange noises, whining, keyboard and touchpad not flush with body. That's pretty much it.

    And if we return we lose the 30% cash back. HP FTL.

    The day my notebook arrives, I'm going to lock myself in for a day alongside a cup of tea to inspect it inch by inch. I'll probably figure out within a couple of days whether I want to keep it!

    LOL! i will keep mine unless there are some flaws with it. i'm still debating whether to do the whole "clean install" business or just manually uninstall some stuff...

    I am just going to manually uninstall the stuff. I don't want to risk messing it up within the first week. I would wait till someones makes a video or wait untill someone confirms that it went well. That's just my 2 cents. :eek:

    There is a review type video on you tube showing that somones envy wobbles lwhen he uses the touchpad. But I think it is a rare problem. If you want to see just search hp envy 14 then see all the videos posted within the last week.

    yes i just saw it; it makes me cringe. i'm hoping that his was just a rare lemon and that someone dropped it or something. besides, he DID order one in the first fleet....i'm guessing there won't be as many lemons in the later fleets of envy 14's?

    and yeah i will wait until the current owners clean install...i heard the touchpad drivers might get messed up.

    Well, some great news just showed up!

    After opening up a Service Request with Bing earlier this week, to report the problem with my 30% rebate on my HP Envy 14 order, I got escalated and was told the problem was under review. That was on Wednesday.

    Earlier tonight, this popped up in my inbox:

    I checked in my Bing cashback account, and sure enough, I have the $415.20 sitting in Pending, with 56 days remaining until I can claim it.

    I never got an email from the person assigned to my Escalation (outside of the initial "Your issue has been escalated, we're looking into it" automated notice), and my Service Request was subsequently closed. But still, it looks like Bing honored the 30% discount for me! Now I can actually open the laptop when it shows up (I had planned to return it if Bing gave me any guff).

    Also, whoever had me on the PM list for the 30% off notices... you can take me off now. Thanks again!!!

    I dont think you can combine with discover, I'm planning to do this too at first but Bing stated no other discount/offer can be combined. Did you check with bing?

    So how many days on average did your guys status change from in production to shipped?

    I ask because I am currently without a computer (just sold my hdx) and my iPhone 4 is all i got.

    And I can't excatly play SC2 on this thing..

    It's been 5 business days for me already.

    im going to attempt to pick mine up...bribing the worker $50 to let me take my package. since they arent allowed to give it to us, im going to try to ask the worker if they can take the paperwork and basically make a new package to pick up monday. of course i will also bring 2 forms of ID. My drivers license and school ID. but i hope i dont have to do that...i hope the worker doesnt know about the pick-up policy.
    am i really that desperate to get it? yes i am. im leaving monday morning, and cannot wait for it to be delivered.

    Think you'll have better luck calling HP and ask them to waive the no pickup thing but its your call.

    How do you know which fedex to go to anyways? There's 4-5 in my city thats almost equally far away from me.

    I dont think so. Fedex told me that they dont deliver on Saturdays, unless the shipper requested and paid extra for it.

    On a side note, does anyone have any insight on the future of BCB? I know someone in the past called HP and the CSR told them that they knew bcb would be back. Has anyone tried this recently with any luck?

    My Fedex tracking update told me that my sleeve shipped to my address. Being overseas, I had one of my friends check my front door and they said nothing was there. Maybe it was stolen.

    Ironically, I'm not at the shipping destination for mine right now, I'm out of town visiting my dad.

    However, I checked the status update a minute ago, and about 20 minutes ago mine was scanned as "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" in my town. That suggests to me that HP at least had the sense to authorize Saturday deliveries on our delayed Envies.

    So don't get your hopes up too high, but your Envies might all be arriving today.

    Depends - do you live in the kind of place where your neighbors would pick that up and hold onto it for you so that it didn't get stolen, or the kind of place where your neighbors would steal it?

    You could try calling FedEx to confirm whether or not it was actually delivered, or if the delivery guy just scanned it out of the truck and then tossed it back in when nobody opened the door. Then again, they probably wouldn't know that, since they can only really go by the scanning information...

    Interesting, mine is a few miles from my house at the FedEx facility and when I called they checked and said my Envy 14 is in a container and they don't have enough manpower to unload it today so I can't pick it up. They didn't mention anything about a no pickup policy though.

    Yeah...the nice guy that I spoke to said that it might be stuck in a container as well, but there is a slight chance that if I call in right away once I see once it arrives, they can hold it outside of the container for me to pick up.
    But some other reps said that I cannot do that because they have a contract with HP saying that they cannot let people pick up their items.

    I called HP, they said it takes 24-48 hours...and the first rep I spoke to told me that he guaranteed me that he would send the stuff to fedex to allow me to pick it up, but he never did...nothing new on HP's part though.

    what the eff, my laptop was stuck in alaska for an extra day, said it was cleared for regulatory stuff but the plane left so it stayed over another day....now it just arrived in Houston this morning. Been in houston for 4 hours now and still has not moved. what the effffffff. If my laptop was opened and played wtih by fedex employees, someones gonna get a hurt reallll bad

    Sort of neither. I don't know my neighbors, though the area is usually a pretty crime-free area.

    I don't see why they didn't require a signature.
