I was 100% available and online during BOTH of the last 30% BCB's, and I have completely and utterly kicked myself in the nuts for missing them.

NOT AGAIN!!

 

My thoughts are that there will be one more hail mary 30% before July 30. proabably next week in my estimation. If it sells laptops for HP, then why not?

 

I'm sure there were others who waited longer haha, just hope it comes tomorrow. Been computer-less for a few weeks now

 

haha i was at work for the first one, but in the morning, i opened it up to 30% and went to get a CC....i don't think i logged in, so i refreshed it, and 5%. =[.

yes i will wake up early tomorrow. it seems like bing hp has a thing for mondays....better safe than sorry!

I can think of one reason: because it cuts into Microsofts profit margins?

Now don't go saying Microsoft is making a ton of money because I know they are. But they are a business and all business are in the market to make money. Since HP already paid to have Microsoft advertise for HP, all Microsoft has to lose is money since BCB is shutting down. Granted HP will only continue to have Microsoft advertise for HP if Bing actually redirects shoppers to HP to make a purchase. But one way or another, HP is going to have less redirected customers as most shoppers only used Bing for the BCB anyways.

 

very true. not saying microsoft is greedy; they are just another business looking to expand, dominate, and gain money...but the little people are hoping for this bcb....maybe microsoft will be the knight in shining armor and give us one last bcb =].

 

So I bought the sleeve for $27.19 before tax and 30% BCB. However, CostCentral.com, from what gather from their site, is a "HP authorized sales and service center", and sells the same sleeve for $12.62 before tax and shipping. Do you guys think I can call HP and ask for a price match? If they are willing to price match, I'd save oh say, $8. It isn't much but for a college student, a dollar saved is a dollar earned.

For those people who ordered as soon as it was available, how long did the whole shipping process take, including delays and such.

 

It varied. Some people got it as early as the 15th, while others still have no received theirs yet. But I'd say around 2-3 weeks from the time you order.

 

I ordered on the hour of release of the 27th, estimated build/by date was the 7th, got delayed until the 12th, and now I'm getting it the today the 19th. So all in all, its taken 22 days. In fairness, 2 days were taken by the weekend because fedex doesn't deliver on them.

 

This really blows. My friend's and my laptop were on the the same truck from Memphis to Los Angeles, yet mine is still stuck in the LA FDX facility, and his is already on a delivery truck.

 

Mine is on the fedex truck so I'm hoping to have it within the hour (Last time the same fedex facility delivered to me was my phone and they came around 1230).

I ordered on the morning of the 8th, so 11 days from ordering to being delivered. It was within 25 minutes of me on Saturday, but I couldn't go pick it up due to work.

 

Ended up getting my BCB for 30% fixed. Took a week and 5 emails from Bing, but they did finally credit me. I was initially missing my BCB completely.

I orderd on the 12th, estimate build date of the 22nd. Hope to have it in early August.

 

That really sucks. I have the same exact build as yours (according to your sig) and ordered on the 27th, but I got mine on the 15th. :/

ordered June 30th, original ship date July 12th, shipment delay notification late afternoon July 13th (gee thanks) with a revised estimate of July 23. Called today (7/19) and was told by CS that that's all the info they have, target date July 23rd, they can't update the shipping method to get the thing here faster once it's built but they can credit back $70 to my card. Had kind of hoped that it would be in route by now even with the 23rd as a estimated date, guess that was too much to hope for

 

Tell how yours go. I was gonna call this morning but woke up with severe eye pain, so I just went back to sleep and hoped it cleared up which it did. But now I got class in a bit. So I'm going to call after class but before work.

 

Hm, anyone know what the number is to get a price match?

 

I called 1 888 227 8451 to ask for a component change, so I guess that would be the customer service line. Perhaps you can try it?

Ugh. Delivery #2 of laptop #1, been listed as "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" for 5 hours today. Not that I need to have it in my hands right now, but I've got other things to do that involve leaving the house...

I got in on the 30% BCB the first day it was out. . .mine still has a July 22 day, no further word. . .at least no delay email. . .yet but I don't mind the few extra days to get 30% off, still feel lucky.
