yay i reordered mine after complete software meltdown 5 hours of calling and finally got the same price as original

 

Whats the deal with shipping and prices in Canada? Do HP ship directly to Canada? Can you customise a model using the HP Canada store?

I can only find their one pre customized model

When HP informs you that your laptop will be delayed, did they do it before or after the estimated to ship date? If so, how many days before or after?

I ordered July 12 with an estimated ship date of July 22. I understand that some people ordered June 28/29 and their item was delayed to July 20-21.

 

i have an eerie feeling we may get delayed as well....i ordered the 12th, estimated ship date the 22nd....im trying to prepare for worst case scenario so anything around the 22nd would be super sweet!

 

Hopefully it's the opposite of that and we get it a day or two earlier.

I was notified about 3 days after the estimated ship date for my first Envy. Some people got notification sooner. My second one is estimated to ship July 22nd and so far there is no delay notification.

 

If it gets delayed then it's your fault for uncrossing your fingers.

 

If there's a delay, I'm asking for 2-day shipping.

Haha. Maybe it's just my guilt trip. But I plan to get "just" $100 back for a battery complaint. The shipping discount's just so I can avoid hassles.

 

If you used BCB, I'll be wary of any potential changes to your order, including changing shipping option or credit/discount. I know Bing cashback is supposed to credit you back according to whatever HP price adjustments are made, but it may take several emails and time spent corresponding back and forth. A few years ago, BCB hit 50% for HP and a lot of people had issues getting their cashback due to credit adjustments in their order. Compound this with the fact that Bing cashback is ending July 30, Bing doesn't have any real incentive to please its customers...

ie, HP gives you credit back. When Bing sees it, they think you applied a coupon thus voiding your cashback. You say otherwise but will Bing bother to follow up with its program ending...?

People will quote emails saying that there will be no issues, but if you're risking 400-500 dollars hoping to get a $50 discount, well, that's your decision to make. Obviously, this doesn't apply to people who ordered early and got credit back and did not use BCB.

 

I ordered on the 9th with an estimated ship date of the 21st. It shipped around 2am (west coast time) on the 19th but since then the fedex status has said "shipment exception". Under details it says "Package received after FedEx cutoff". So I would imagine all the BCBer's should have theres shipped on time. How long, on average, does it take for these things to be delivered to socal?

 

Seems like it ships after 10 days in the factory. I've noticed this with other buyers here.

C'mon, HP! Don't let me down! Ship it early in the day on the 22d or earlier!

If BCB reaches 50% you can guarantee I'm reordering and choosing 2nd day without a doubt. But I doubt HP giving you free 2nd day shipping will affect anything with Bing.

Bing Cashback support will still be around for another year.

hey guys i know fedex doesnt deliver on saturday but do they still move packages? My first envy 14 shipped out monday and I had it by friday. I need to know if my second one ships out thursday that it will be here by tues/wed at the very latest.

 

my envy is currently in Shanghai saying "Shipment exception". is that just a fancy way of saying it's delayed?

I my ESD is on the 21st too but mine still says in production.. Mmmmaaannn..

And I live in socal too. But from what I've read, about 4-6 Business days.

 

I ordered on the 12th as well. First order (which I canceled) had a 22nd built-by date. An hour later, my second order placed on the 12th has a built-by date of the 23rd.

Hopefully they worked out a few of the production line kinks by the time they started our builds!

Ok I just called HP to see if I can upgrade to 2 day shipping (ESD 21st) they said no.. I dunno why

Good new tho - i asked them If they had any ideas on delays of any kind, and rep said no. Then he tol me to hold on, 2 min later gave me a definite no delay. He talked to his supervisor and said everything is in order.

So I guess if you ordered around the 11th you'll be gettin no delay email...... Hopefully..

Lol, HP would be giving you money to buy their laptops, which actually wouldn't be too ridiculous considering the few minutes they knock off our lives from the stress caused by the defective system they send us.

i am not so impatient like others while waiting for it to ship, but I am kinda annoyed that they charged credit card in advance.

 

I like to double check things and....

 

Some of us have a strict deadline to meet. I have to head up north on the 4th and I'd rather not have to change shipping destinations before I even have my apartment chosen.

 

It's not for me, I already ordered mine, but for the other poor souls who weren't able to get the discount.

Although I'm strongly considering a netbook if it does go 30% or higher.
