wait so its the 22nd there? O man mine ships today then.

 

I have a feeling that anyone who ordered on the 10-13th of this month are shiping together.
I could be wrong lol

 

If they ship them in batches, I wonder why their estimated build date is different for those 3 days.

 

Interesting...I ordered mine on the 13th but my estimated shipping day is the 23rd. Would be sweet if it shipped out tomorrow.

 

Seems my ship date of the 22nd is going to come true - no shipment early. Sigh. Frustrating, as unless all these 2 Day Envy14s are tagged Saturday Delivery, we're getting them next week. I was looking forward to having the weekend to work on mine.

Its really too bad that 2Day was all that HP could muster even at an inflated price. I would have paid another $20 or so for overnight delivery and/or guaranteed Saturday delivery, on a laptop such as this. The less time in transit with my high-tech packages, the better. I've seen how poorly FedEx and UPS handle mail shipped locally for their asinine prices, I can only imagine how badly their China branch conducts themselves.

 

Yeah, we can only hope that our packages arrive in one piece.

call hp now, and have them send a request to fedex to allow you to pick it up on saturday. most likely they will let you pick it up since fedex doesnt deliver on saturdays for most people. if you call now, it takes about 24 hours to get the email to fedex, so do it soon! and you can pick up your baby on saturday for sure if there are no delays!

So my laptop left Anchorage, AK 3 hours ago and my EDD is 4:30 pm this Friday the 23rd. Think there is there any chance I'll get it tomorrow? It shipped 1 day before my estimated build date so hopefully it will arrive 1 day before my delivery date. I know if they try to deliver it on Friday my wife and I will most likely be at the doctors getting her ultrasound to find out the gender of our baby that's due in Dec. So my question is if I miss them when they try to deliver will I have to go to their office and pick it up or would I be able to have them attempt a second delivery that same day.

Congrats on the baby! Nice! This your first one? I bought a decent laptop before our first born came along because I figured I wouldn't be able to buy one for a while. LOL.

If you can call them quick enough, at least here, they can hold it for pickup later that evening, depending on how late they're open. UPS and FedEx here are open until 7pm. They won't do a second delivery attempt same day though.

 

bing should give us 30% off NAOOO because i'm tired of waiting for this laptop and crazily stalking these forums night and day x.X". and i can't stop myself from reading either D=. i'm starting to become a cave troll T.T.

 

Thanks for the congrats. I'll call them tomorrow and have them hold it for me to pick up I don't have class on Fridays so I should be able to pick it up that afternoon.
OT- Its actually our 4th kid and my wife is measuring 6 weeks bigger than she should so I'm hoping its not twins because I don't know if I would be able to handle that. Needless to say I'm kinda on edge till Friday.

Has anyone that ordered AFTER July 1 had their machine ship yet? and not to pee in anyones cheerios or anything but my "order status" page has said "in production, estimated ship date July 12" since around July 3rd; so I wouldn't put too much faith in that thing....

 

RMA Replacement ordered on the 19th and "build date" is the 30th. It's in production now so with any luck I could get it as early as Monday so I can return my first one.

 

Yes. Ordered original Envy 14 July 3 and received it on the 16th after a one day delay from the 15th.

I called before ordering and the CCR wouldn't give me any discount on top of the academic purchase program 10%.

Called after ordering and the "escalations dept" gave me $50 credit back after I mentioned that I was in school, my other laptop died and I am having buyers remorse after spending so much and not having something in hand sooner. (I mentioned Macbook Pro available to walk out of the store with in NYC...24/7 is nice.)

my first order was with the i5 450m, 4gb 1 dim, and 500gb hdd, then bcb 30% struck and I kept it pretty much the same and added the 256gb ssd. Sold my first envy to my uncle which he picked up the 2nd day I got it so I no time to spend with my new toy. So I am still waiting for my 23rd build date and scared to even call hp for a discount, I will not jeopardize my $525 coupon for another $50-100 bucks. Plus I made a little extra cash on the computer I sold because I got $200 off on coupons that I... transferred (?) to my new order

If i have an e14 shipped to Aus and its damaged/defective, will i be able to deal with HP in Australia? I know its an International Warranty, but how does that work?

 

Oh, it's probably because you don't have enough posts then.

 

I think that's something you have to email or call HP about. We would just give you a guestimate whereas HP is sometimes more reliable

 

The 1 year international warranty plays by local rules - you won't be able to return it directly (unless you're really quick about getting it back to the States within the 21-day return period), but you should be able to get it serviced like any other HP laptop you could buy in Australia. However, if they don't offer E14's in Australia, you might have to wait extra long for depot repairs, because they might have to get the parts shipped in if the defect is an E14 specific part.

This is based on my multiple discussions with HP reps regarding overseas warranty service. Basically, it should be perfectly fine.

 

Ok thanks, i dont mind waiting its more then paying $60 + every time the laptop needs to be returned / swapped.

Hopefully should be able to order by the end of the month.

I am curious on what all the "whine" hype is all about. I bet if people didn't complain so much about it, I would never even notice. (I'm a bit deaf from always blasting music as a teen and my 3 year old laptop is already loud as hell haha)

 

Apparently the CPU whines which makes a noise similar to those of mosquito tones. And yeah, now a lot of people are listening for this "whine" because people are bringing it up.
