my hp came with small scuff marks and small gaps that i dont mind.
but what i do mind is the screwed up hp logo light.
and the keyboard flex around P area is really bad...
and hissing thru the phone-jack

i dont feel to bad tho, cuz i love my old laptop (asus m50sv). main reason i picked up the envy was to take advantage of the 30%bcb deal.
i just disappointed in HP right now
, I'll probably stick with asus laptops from now on.

Did you order with bing originally, or any other discounts? Are they being honored on your exchange? I'm trying to exchange, but they are trying to cancel the credit they gave me.

Exchange will void your Bing cashback. Be very cautious.

Did you just order a new one and RMA the one you have now or are they just sending a new one out and you can return the original when you receive the replacement? I was thinking about RMA'ing for my dead pixel, but if I need a laptop for school and can't take another $1100 hit, so I would have to wait the 5ish days for them to credit my account, plus I would lose $350 BCB
Would be nice if I could just give them my credit card number and have them give me like 7 days after I receive the replacement to send the original back in or get hit with the cost of the replacement.

I'm glad they let me change the configuration of my exchange laptop, although I now wish I had simply opted for a full refund... wasn't aware of the whole under clocked 5650 issue until this morning =(

I was just wondering if anyone ordered the Envy 14 with this Hard drive. I have been looking around and it doesnt look like anyone has configured it with that large of a hard drive except for me.
The reason I ask is because my laptop has been delayed 3 times and I was noticing that on their website, they no longer offer the 640 GB hard drive as an option. This makes me think that all the delays have been caused by this upgrade that I chose.
I was just wondering if I was alone. -
Actually, I think you may be misinformed. I spoke to a rep at the cust resolution line and she said an exchange would not invalidate bing. Of course, I requested it in writing, and she said HP HQ would deal with sending my new info to bing and would cc me on the email. she assured me that it would not invalidate bing, but that transferring my credit might.

Yes, that proves my point. Read closely "the store MAY reverse..." it is up to HP, and they told be straight up they would not reverse the purchase, but rather would update bing with my new order # so that I would not lose it.

yeah, u both are right. but man, how i loathe the thought of contacting bing at this point. I had to create a service request with them as my original cashback never showed up...took me over a week and 4 of their CSR's to finally get it done. Since they are ending soon, they are woefully understaffed. I may just keep this thing....

ok good, the cover just pops open once u slide it. i was only able to get it half way and the cover did not move. i returned it but i thought i was being an idiot not knowing how to open the back cover
i applied tons of pressure, even bending my nail in the process haha but it wouldn't budge

I wouldn't suggest filling it with anything. Whatever you fill it with may end up going inside, changing colors, or mess things up for you. -

If I recall, the plane that left last Friday departed from China around 11:20PM, according to user's FedEx tracking. I'm on the US east coast, so it's exactly 12 hours forward from my time zone, if I am not mistaken.

Nah, the dust wont do anything. The most it would be able to do is end up collecting in the vents which you can use compressed air to clean out.

Have you guys shipped? It just happened, as FedEx tracking has no info yet, but HP's website reported as shipped and gave me a tracking number.

Man. After playing with my Envy for part of the day, I'm afraid I may just have to send it back. The touchpad software is still in serious need of work. The scrolling is still too imprecise for my tastes. Synaptics and HP got the down-scroll somewhat better. But the up-scrolling and pinch to zoom are way too inaccurate and jumpy. It's nice to see we can now configure dead-zones, but this just isn't enough.

Coming from an old laptop with a garbage touchpad, I think anything will be better for me.
I use my wireless mouse whenever possible, anyways. -

Users had theirs' shipped Friday, it traveled by plane Saturday and Sunday, and people got then on Monday, if I am not mistaken. It was two days earlier than FedEx said, but still...
If we're in luck we might get them on Friday.

Honestly I think we will receive our orders by Friday barring any delays in customs or goof-ups by HP not submitting the proper paperwork. Like an idiot I picked two day shipping so I'm curious to see if it actually makes a difference in this case.
I believe shipping from Shanghai should begin soon as it's currently Tuesday evening there so Fed Ex should have some updated info soon. -
Call in and ask for a refund for the two day shipping because it got delayed.
