I already have an APP. The point is that HP has increased the cost by $100. Offering a lower-quality screen for less does not mean discount.

I'm a frugal grad student so $100 means a lot to me.

I believe if yours still says it left ramp in shanghai, then i believe it still has to go to korea ( according ti simple tracking)

According to fedex, it Went from shanghai to anchorage, no korea.

I just hope it arrives friday its still on time.

 

Check simpletracking - ours went through Korea as well. It's possible that the others are just coming off the plane a little behind ours, since ours are 2-day shipping instead of 5-7 like theirs.

 

The real difference will be how fast they go through customs.

 

Awesome, mine has been in Anchorage, Alaska for 4 hours, albeit just updating now.

Hopefully it's already left to come to a distribution center, or will soon.

 

Same for mine! It still shows an estimated delivery date of August 3rd, after originally showing the 30th. I'm hopeful that they manage to get it here by Friday. After following the course of this laptop since the announcement in May, to say that I'm eager to try it out is an understatement.

 

By the looks of it, they should be delivered on friday.

First time poster, first time HP owner as I ordered my E14 yesterday.

It's giving me an estimated ship by date of August 9th. What are the odds that it'll ship before then? The reason I ask is that I'm out of town that entire week and would love to have it before I depart. I did pay for 2 day shipping as well.

It's hard to tell if you'll get it earlier or not.

 

1) Depending on your config, the odds are likely that it will ship sooner.
2) If you hang around the forum and see that people who ordered w/ regular shipping have theirs shipped in the same batch as your's, you'll be able to call HP and complain and possibly get your 2 day shipping fee back.

Congratulations... Mine's "Held at Sort Facility" in spite of its 2-day shipping. So much for it arriving before I leave town for 11 days... Damn you HP for your delays! It wouldn't be so bad, but, thanks to timing of my return to China, getting it before I leave is my only chance to get it repaired before I leave. If I get one of the lemons, that is.

It is possible. HP likes to ship them in bundles and if yours is ready to go then it will ship with the others.

There's a chance that you'll get it earlier, just keep tracking it once a day or more if you'd like.

 

Hey, theres one selling on ebay brand new ready to ship with an i5-450m for 1241. with some bcb and maybe your CC you can get it down to 1050? With the 8% bcb it goes down to 1140 already. and it has the radiance display. it will still be cheaper than what hp is charging.
