man this has happened each wave of Envy's a few of them get stuck in a longer clearance delay 'cause HP sucks with paperwork (hell they all got stuck in a longer clearance delay for the first group since HP didn't even send the right paperwork)

Well, my Envy 14 got scanned again, I guess. Hopefully they're starting up operations over in Anchorage right now...

 

Thats what mine said yesterday, and it arrived this morning at 9. If it goes the same for u guys, it should arrive at your fedex facility tomorrow morning.

Mine moved really fast when i got that message.

Did anyone figure out what needs to be done before we can pick up a package from a FedEx location?

 

I called FedEx yesterday and they just said you can walk in and pick it up. She didn't say anything about doing anything beforehand, so I guess you were right. She did say to call in beforehand to make sure your local FedEx has your package and that you are allowed to pick it up, but that's it.

 

I would say bring something with your name on it, as well as something with your address on it (a bill, bank statement etc)

 

Well, my Envy 14 disappeared off FedEx tracking.

I guess I just need to wait a while and check back later.

Well, two FedEx flights are scheduled (so far) to leave from Anchorage to Memphis, I hope mine makes it on one of them.

Edit: Hopefully there will be a plane straight from Anchorage to California for me.

 

Same here...but its back now. Mine still says in transit from China..even though the plane arrived over an hour ago

Aw, I wanted it to go straight to California. Why would they ship it the long way? I thought there was a place in California... Now I'm not even sure that I can pick it up tomorrow. :cry:

Edit: They got about 13 hours to get it to my local FedEx for me to be able to pick it up.

My Envy 14 (and probably yours) is in the West Columbia sort facility. It's something like an hour away. I've just have to watch and wait to see if it comes to a local FedEx facility today.

Edit: After calling FedEx, the I've found out the sort facility it's at is actually linked to the airport (I figured). The FedEx rep was very nice and told me that when it arrives at my local facility (he said in a couple hours probably) to call back. He told me they can see if anyone at the local facility (if anyone is there today) can arrange for me to come pick it up.

I think sometimes they charge for Saturday pick up, but I'll ask when I call back. If there is a fee and it's small, I'll probably do it. It's worth it to me rather than waiting until Monday or Tuesday and potentially missing the package (I'm pretty sure they never even ring the doorbell here, they just leave a FedEx door slip), and having to go pick it up after 6PM or wait until the next day.

 

It's less than 20 minutes away from me... but I can't pick it up from the sort facility

 

That sucks. Hopefully they will send ours to local facilities today, and we can pick them up.

I called FedEx and they said that I probably wont be able to pick up my package today because it wont make it to my local FedEx. Hopefully they're wrong. Hopefully...

My FedEx rep told me it would likely be at my local FedEx facility around this time, but it has yet to leave the destination sort facility.

I'll be disappointed if it doesn't make it today, but I guess that means I'll have it Monday if it doesn't.

 

I'm wondering what's taking mine so long. It says it left from Memphis at 3:30 and I live about a three hours drive from Memphis and it has yet to say it has arrived at local facility.

 

Mine is still sitting around about an hour away from me. It's been there for about 8 hours...

I suppose I probably won't get it today unless they leave real soon.

Guys, I received my Envy yesterday morning and I must admit that it is a very nice notebook in person. My Envy is near flawless and I guess the second batch is really improved from the early reviews because I honestly have had none of the issues everyone else was talking about. No cpu whine, no keyboard flex and the screen is really, really good.

You guys will not be disappointed when you receive yours. If not by today, I hope everyone gets their Envys on Monday.

Btw, attaching the slice battery takes absolutely no effort but it does make the Envy a little too heavy for me to carry around on a daily basis.

I guess I'm getting mine on Monday also. I kind of lost the last of my excitement when it didn't come yesterday. I was really anxious for it the first two weeks, but this third week I just want to get it ASAP so I don't have to track it anymore.

Edit: Alright, it's 2:46 PM, status is still the same "Departed FedEx location Memphis, TN"; now I'm positive that I'm not getting it today.
