Was your HP Envy 14 with Radiance display order cancelled? Post here!

How did you get yours down to $760? Is this with tax and shipping? If that's "out the door" price, then it's not too bad. I'll just have to sacrifice the radiance display.

 

dude trust me u aint alone.. what makes me so angry is people that ordered it 2 days after me.. are getting theres shipped and receiving it soon.

 

They are really riding you guys out till the end. Mine is currently in anchorage, ak. That sucks cause I think I ordered before. Hopefully they are checking yours to make sure its absolutely perfect

 

They better be perfect for being in production for 16 days.

 

Thats how it played out after taxes ETC. I got charged about $1000.00 then they refunded 340.00 once it left the factory.

I mean like the videos all seem "blocky" like it is at a lower res. I tried missing around ccc with setting but nothing worked. Laptopmag also mentioned something about movies not being so crisp.

same thing I got except 6gb of ram. $804 The price differences between us all is because our taxes are different.

 

Mine is in Alaska as well! I'm afraid its going to be delivered on Feb 3, and of course I work all day that day

 

You should give FEDEX a call/heads up to hold your package at their location for you to either pick up, or deliver it on a day you are home. Hope you get to enjoy your amazing Envy soon.

Ugh. Bummer. Kind of annoying that our "2 day shipping" is estimated to take over a week as of now. But again, I think it's Chinese New Year at play and there isn't much HP can do about that.

Is your estimated delivery date actually in two days?!

 

My unit's out the door price was $762. i5-580, 4gb on 1 dmm, 620 GB, but no Radiance. Can't really argue with the price. They charged me 1300ish up front but refunded around $550 today when it shipped.

 

In my opinion the radiance isn't really worth $200. I can't believe you guess are getting such amazing deals. I don't mind giving up the radiance and bring the base price down by 200. I mean $700 is cheaper than a dm4.

 

Wow some people are really OCD on here. I don't think I have ever inspected anything as thorough as some people on here. You guys are going to make me stare at that thing all day because I'm paranoid. lol

Nothing is ever going to be perfect I just try to be happy with what I got unless its a major issue (I know major issue is subjective).

Jesus, weren't you one of the original, uncancelled orders?! It's a little ridiculous that I ordered weeks after you and my unit shipped today (sans Radiance). HP really screwed the pooch on this one.

 

I ordered my Envy 14 580m and radiance on the 17th w/ 500$ coupon. Due to be built on the 2nd...though it seems because of the Chinese new year it might be delayed another week or so.

 

LoL I haven't seen a Pelican case since I left the military. I love those things. They kept everything from my rifle to my computer in good condition no matter where I was or what I was doing.

Can someone please explain the Chinese year?

 

My envy is in Indy, but the delivery date is tomorrow by 10:30AM. I do NOT see that happening, as my tracking number says it still has not left Indy and its 11pm. Sigh.

Also I noticed someone posted that the laptops are shipped to TN first and then to the customer. I'm pretty sure that's not true. The last one I ordered came strait to my address avoiding TN.

 

Man all this talk about SSD's on here is killing me. I want one now. Wife is going to kill me. lol

Should be coming the same day as my laptop, gonna be some serious protection (on the college campus). I get the feeling if someone happens to steal it, at least my laptop wont be harmed (unless its thrown from a house or the 20th story, etc). They seem VERY sturdy

 

Those tracking statuses aren't always that accurate. Usually late at night they'll suddenly update that the package has reached your nearby sorting depot and will be out to delivery the same day.

 

Yeahh I know. Gonna call tomorrow if possible because this is ridiculous.

Yeahh, ordered the 16th at about 12PST. Now I'm really hoping that I didn't miss some cancellation email or call or something.

Well well well. 11:00 EST, one more hour until February 1st is over. Maybe (hopefully) my order will be shipped when I wake up in the morning so I don't have to bother calling.

 

Lets just say I am going for the ultimate protection for this laptop, and hopefully any other laptop i plan to buy in the same size range. I feel like its basically a lockbox. I just hope if it gets stolen, that whatever a person tries to do to it, it wont open and eventually they may just return it. Or if they happen to throw it in an ocean, it will live. Lets see if it lives up to all of that. First test when I get the case: throw it out of my 2nd story window onto the street

 

Seriously, wow, it feels going through your posts its as if I'm waiting for that delivery... but of course you know I'm still waiting for HP to release the specs and cutomization page for the Envy 17 3D SB edition..... ugh

Even if it does ship it won't leave move until at least the sixth. Fexex is shut down from the 2-6.

 

Just thought I'd let everyone know the final outcome of my situation. The laptop was completed yesterday Jan. 31... almost 3 weeks ahead of scheduled date of Feb 18. Should be here by Thurs/Fri.

Additionally, the credit for coupon, screen, tax, shipping etc. was promptly made an hour or so after the shipment email as promised. As long as the laptop is built correctly I've come out of this a satisfied customer.

Well, I wouldn't expect to get a shipping notice tonight, or for the next several days for that matter. As AddictionsolA said, FedEx is closed in China Feb 2-6, and it's already the 2nd there.

 

Really? Its chinese new year there? Does that mean they stay closed for the week? If so, that really blows hard. I am really sorry to hear that. What were the specs of both of your builds? Maybe there was a part which was out of stock or something? (just making ideas out of my @$$)

Yea it looks like its going to be shipped on 2-7 so assuming you have standard shipping thats another 5-7 days for shipping. It looks like it's gonna be delivered on 2-14-ish. This totally blows and I'm definitely going to be asking for a discount or something. That's 2 weeks after their estimated ship date.

its understandable if an item gets delayed but if people who played there orders on the 16th/17th with the same build got theres shipped. that just is not right.

 

Yea I placed mine on 15th at 3pm for an envy with radiance, i7 720qm and everything else standard. I was already annoyed at the 2+ weeks delay but I figure whatever it's worth it. If I knew I was going to have to wait until mid-feb for it I would have just waited longer and bought a SB equipped laptop.

Also, couldn't someone from the shipping dept. realize that if it didn't make the 2-1 ship date then it would be delayed for another week. They could have at least notified us.

 

Well, you got it right this time... only a 1 week delay, or actually 5-6 days. But yes, that does kinda suck . I don't really feel that justfies an angry call or fighting for a discount though.

My order was supposed to ship yesterday but like others, NOTHING.

I contacted HP this morning via online chat and they told me the order isn't delayed, isn't on a delayed order list, and that I have to wait another 24 hours to see if it's delayed. I told her today is Feb. 2, so it must be delayed but she said no it's not yet. What a moron. She also said there's nothing she can do for the inconvenience. What phone number should I call to complain to?

 

What is the new shipping date on the HP order status? Or has it not been updated yet? Something like this happened to me last month, my ship date was Jan 7th (Friday) but it didn't ship, and when I spoke to a rep she said it's not delayed and I just have to wait till after the weekend. Ended up shipping on Monday (Jan 10th). But through the weekend, it still said "in production" with a ship date of the 7th, so it wasnt officially delayed.

Im thinking they dont consider the Chinese new years a delay since they didn't consider the weekend a delay...maybe delays are only part shortages etc. Also,, @darkprime, shes right in the since that its not officialy delayed until you have a new ship date on HP order status. It could take up to 24 hours for them to update that which is what she meant.

mine was supposed to ship today (Feb 2nd) but I guess I have to wait till after new years..I don't care what the reps say, if it doesnt ship out around 4AM (EST) then it means its not shipping that day (based on all my past orders and a few others)

 

Yup, that's what's happening here, build date on order status still says Feb. 1, so not officially delayed.

Alright soooo woke up this morning....
Went to the HP order status...
and the verdict is.....
nothing!
The thing still says February 1st as the build date, and I haven't gotten any shipment delay notification/compensation. If it doesn't ship for a week because of the 'chinese new year' I'm really going to push for at least 10% off and/or free 2 day shipping

 

I might eat my words, checked the order status this morning and it shows. I wonder if it means its actually on the move?
