I was eyeing on drawboard PDF, but I was wondering if it is supports the use of an active digitizer and if it is pressure sensitive? Does then pen work the saw on Drawboard as it would on OneNote?

Does anyone know how to prevent scrolling when my mouse cursor reaches the edge of the screen? I can't seem to find a way to disable this feature anywhere and I really find it annoying.
-
Thanks! -
Hope that helps. -
US site just put in the 500GB HDD options. Still no NFC, hoping that gets added later today, or the same time next week.
-
Or you can do yourself a favor and upgrade to an aftermarket SSD ;-) -
Is there any option in Drawboard PDF to turn on something like palm rejection? Is very useful to use the hand to do zoom in or zoom out but when I want to write It can be annoying.
I had to do another thing in this program. I don't know why but the screen brightness was continuosly changing. Now I am thinking about it maybe It was always but I realized of that writing on the PDFs. Anyway, I desactivated the automatic adjustment of the brightness from the windows configuration and now all goes fine. -
Hi guys,
Tomorrow i will receive the TP Yoga i5-4200U and 500GB.
I will change the HDD with the Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB.
With a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit, witch Lenovos's driver i need to install? Where i can find them?
Thank's
Simone -
But in any case you don't like the factory setup just make sure to install Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Update 5 and it will handle all drivers for you. :-D

I've recently purchased the 0032US version of the TPY, and I'm really pretty distraught to report that I will be returning it this week
I've been digging through this thread for days now, and I've got a few of the problems discussed, as well as one or two that haven't been.
First, the image retention/ghosting problem. My unit is fairly new (first fired it up on Jan. 30th), but already the Start button is being retained all the time. Even when I first power it on, it sticks. I absolutely hate this, and I think that LG should be ashamed and that Lenovo should be communicative and responsible. The 12.5 FHD is a great setup, and I really wish this would work out. However, the problem appears to be systemic and no amount of returning/swapping TPY's will solve it, for now. I don't want to be stuck w/ this problem past my return window, and so I have to return this. Really upsetting and disappointing.
Second, the build quality of my unit is really lacking. I've never owned a ThinkPad before, and I was really excited about owning a computer that was part of a lineup renown for its durability, rock-solid construction, superb fit, and tight functionality. However, I've been majorly letdown by the build quality of my TPY. My screen, like everyone's I suspect, has substantial creak and flex on the bottom edge (by the home button all the way out to the hinges). It distracts me when using the Windows button (mostly in tablet mode), and it seems misfit for a ThinkPad product.
Additionally, the screen is poorly fit on the edges, with the right side of my screen (the whole body, not just the monitor/display itself) being rough and jagged to the touch, due to poor fitment between the metallic back and the plastic front bezel.
Finally, and most disturbing to me, the chassis itself creaks like CRAZY on my unit on the right side all around the ThinkPad logo. The simple act of resting my wrist on the chassis causes it to creak and whine with every application or removal of pressure. Picking up the laptop by the right front corner (a habit I'm in) induces creaking and some flex in the chassis. It's absolutely maddening, especially as I went and checked out the Yoga 2 Pro last night only to discover that its chassis is rock-solid, with no flex or creak. This is unbelievable to me, as I've been reading about the legendary solid construction of the ThinkPad line. I know every manufacturing run has its duds, but even if it wasn't looking like ALL of the screens have a fundamentally huge flaw, I would still be really reticent to exchange this unit, now knowing that the ThinkPads just aren't as solid as I once believed. You'd better believe, if it's creaky on mine, it's creaky on others. And what an annoying place! Everytime I go to type, CREAKKKKCREAKCKREAKCREEAAAAKK.
Now, all of this wouldn't be too bad, except I absolutely adore the keyboard and the touchpad! The hype around the ThinkPad keyboards appears to be well deserved. The keyboard is absolutely fantastic, especially compared to any other ultrabook on the market. Macbook Air? Nope. Macbook Pro? Forget it. Yoga 2 Pro? No. ATIV Book? Not a chance. The TPY has absolutely spoiled me when it comes to typing, and I'm really torn up about losing this keyboard, as typing is the majority of what I'll be doing with this unit.
Additionally, I actually REALLY like the touchpad. I know a lot of hardcore ThinkPad junkies really dislike it, but I don't have their background or preferences influencing my experience. I've used clicky touchpads on the Yoga 2 Pro, as well as all of the famous Macbook lines, and the truth is that I think the TPY does it better! Even over the Apple touchpads.
So now that I'm considering replacing my TPY with a Yoga 2 Pro, I'm absolutely mourning the loss of my TPY keyboard and touchpad. Additionally, I love the 12.5" FHD combo. But yeesh. The screen is a dealbreaker, as is a creaky, flexy ThinkPad.
I really hope Lenovo ups the build quality on these and also admits to (and irons out) this image retention problem ASAP. Not that I'll be able to buy oneIt seems like I'm stuck with another model, as these problems won't be addressed in the week or two that I have to return this unit.

I canceled my order that I made on Monday which had the 125GB SSD, and ordered the least expensive current HD option (500gb 5400rpm).
Saves me $260. I am going to put in a Samsunz EVO 500GB drive in the Yoga anyway. My savings will nearly pay for the drive! -
As far as creaking goes, it is only now that I really noticed my TPYoga has flex near the home button. For me it is not an issue at all as that part of the TPYoga doesn't really need to be reinforced. The body of my TPYoga is indeed rock solid. I've tried to do the things you mentioned, but my unit never creaks. The palm rests and body in general is just rock solid. Perhaps you have some loose screws on the bottom plate? When I type or rest my hands on the palm rests, everything feels solid, with minimal flex.
At any rate, I hope you'll be able to find another machine that suits your needs or perhaps a future model of the TPY will meet your standards. On my side I've actually really been loving mine since I received it. -

Has anyone tried to disable the Program Compatibility Assistant on the Thinkpad Yoga? I have and failed, I am not liking the Mac style lockdown but I do very much like the hardware side of things.
Method 1
1) win R
2) gpedit.msc
3) Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Application Compatibility
4) Turn off both
Application Compatibility Engine
Program Compatibility Assistant
Method 2
1) win R
2) services.msc
3) stop/disable the "Program Compatibility Assistant" service
Method 3
1) Navigate to: Windows -> apppatch
2) delete or rename sysmain.sdb (have not yet managed to change the permissions so I can edit this file)
Both methods 1 and 2 show the Program Compatibility Assistant as disabled and yet when I try to install my offending application the Program Compatibility Assistant kicks in and prevents the install. This is fairly annoying!!
If anyone has managed to disable Program Compatibility Assistant on the Thinkpad Yoga I would much appreciate a pointer on how you did it. Thx -
@Combob what are you trying to install? I've never encountered this kind of issue with my TPY and I've installed all of my personal programs and such already

The tag to login thing is interesting if you have a tag on your key ring, sort of like a key card scanner
I myself was going to cancel my order and get the NFC when it became available but it added a crazy amount of time to my order something like 4-5 weeks so I decided against it, not a feature i'm really bothered about. -
Method 3 is the most technical way to disable it. It might also cause some issues on the Modern Apps front like disabling UAC completely will stop Modern Apps working at all. Could be the reason? What program were you even trying to install as I have only seen this compatibility error once when I was on Windows 7 for a really old game -
After one week, touchscreen stopped working completly, mid game of Civ V. I shipped it to be repaired. they replaced the screen completly. Now Touchscreen work but I have two dead spot. The digitalizer work fine (no black hole).
Does anybody else had/have this issue with touchscreen?

I am trying to do so, but I can't reset the calibration data. I push the button for "reset", message tells me, all data is reset, but when running the tabcal command I get the message that there is still valid calibration data and I should do a reset of calibration data...

I've had my ThinkPad Yoga for 10 days now, and for the most part I love it. But I have a problem and hoped you wise friends might have some advice...
Twice now I've walked away from my computer expecting it to go to sleep, and returned to a very troublesome " Boot Menu / Windows Boot Manager" page.
The page claims ESC will exit, Enter will select, and the arrow keys will let you move up or down - but these are all lies.
The arrow keys are useless. There's no list (it only says Windows Boot Manager beneath the heading Boot Menu), and no highlighted selection or cursor either.
Both ESC and Enter blink a gray screen briefly, then return me right back to the Boot Menu.
I tried holding Esc for a second before releasing it, but only got three beeps and several extra seconds of screen blinking, before being dumped back into my dear boot menu.
The only keystroke that accomplished anything is Tab, which switched me over to the "App Menu." Unfortunately, the things listed there might as well be gibberish for how well I understood them. I couldn't find anything that looked like a likely path back to normal computing, so I tabbed my way back to the boot menu and tried Esc again a few times.
I gradually gave up and decided to try powering my computer off and on... which did allow me startup as though nothing had ever happened. It's a solution I suppose, but it leaves me uneasy... I'd hate for something more serious to be wrong.
Now that it's happened twice, the whole thing has me completely stumped. Why did my computer go there instead of to sleep? Why can't I navigate my way out of there? What is the purpose of the Windows Boot Manager, and how would someone go there intentionally?
Anyone else encounter something similar? -
For those with a One Link Pro Dock, I was having trouble with mine as well. I was not getting the frequent disconnects on the USB ports but I would often get an error when booting the computer with the dock attached. I did a clean Windows 8.1 install this weekend using the drivers from the Lenovo support page. No where on this page is there a driver for the One Link Pro. I still proceeded with the install hoping the drivers would install automatically when the dock was connected. I also switched in the BIOS a setting for display that says boot to Display on Dock.
I have had no more issues since. The dock works as expected but I do not have the icon in the Notifications popup. Now it has only been 5 days but the computer feels smoother and faster although it does seem to get warmer. The problem I was having with the Bluetooth mouse locking up has disappeared as well. -

Now based on what you just said, it appears there isn't even a single option to boot. It should AT LEAST show your hard drive/SSD as one of the options on the list to boot up from. If nothing shows up there, then for whatever reason the computer isn't detecting any device at all that is bootable.
My question is have you ever opened up the computer, tried to upgrade something yourself such as the hard drive, dropped the computer, or fiddled with any settings in bios?
I upgraded my own SSD and ended up loosening one of the cables inside. Because of this, my computer could not pick up my hard drive and would just bring me to the boot menu without any options just as you are experiencing. Let me know and we'll try to solve this one.
What you are experiencing however is definitely not normal and should not be happening if everything is working properly. -
Good find. -
Because i don't know how to clone the HD.
Which software i can use?
It's very difficult removing the bottom plate of the Yoga?
I will be careful with the clips.
Sorry for my English -

And looks like Canada's going to get shafted with less models and only the top end one will have the digitizer, otherwise have to go back to CTO. -
-
What exactly did you do to get your software installed? -

I decided to pay for the 256GB SSD, rather than attempting your clever home-upgrade trick. And I haven't opened the case for any other reason.
I also haven't dropped the computer. ((I will say it arrived with the finest crack on the corner, so thin you can barely see it (and not feel it at all). It's small enough I assumed I'd be laughed at for returning it, and might as well forget it.))
The only updating I've done so far has been through the Lenovo Solution Center, and those updates ran smoothly and quickly. Embarrassingly, my knowledge of BIOS is limited enough that I'm not sure how to get there, so I'm pretty sure none of the settings are awry.
If it is failing to detect the hard drive, it seems weird that a quick powering off and on makes it detectable again... But as you said, it looks like there should be an option to boot to the SSD, only it's blank there.
I'll try pressing F12 as I start up, and see if it will show my SSD now that it's running smoothly again... -
It's ok if i use clonezilla for clone the HD?
The SSD will be bootable without a clean install of W8.1 64Bit?
When i install the SSD, i need to remove the M.2 solid state drive for cache? -

1. Search for "Run" on your start screen.
2. Type "regedit"
3. Expand the following in this order: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Enum
4. Right click "Enum" and click "find"
5. While in find type "LinearityData"
6. Once you find "LinearityData" on the right, right click it and rename it to "UserLinearityData"
Take extra care not to change anything else. Once you've done this, you can now reset your calibration data. Let me know if everything works -
-
As far as the M.2 drive I am not sure what to do with it. Maybe someone else here knows what to do with it. -
I really don't know what happened! -
Do you know how to disable built-in speakers? I tried disabling speakers from device manager, but that did nothing. I'm quite sure now that there's something wrong with sounds and I have to get second replacement unit.
-
So, do these still have ghosting issues? It seems like a fairly serious issue that for some appears immediately and for others after a month.
-
You can disable the speakers by going into your sound options in control panel. Better to do it there than through device manager -
