I ordered my laptop on 5/20. ESD is now 6/26, order has not been rebooked, and I have gotten no other updates except for the one email from critical.

I ordered a laptop for my sister on 6/4. That laptop shipped yesterday.

This company has their head so far up their ass, I just hope the quality of the laptop does not mimic the quality of the customer service.

Wow, reading that made me laugh a little. I'm sure you're ticked about it though. I would call lenovo if I were you. It's one thing when I call and say, I've been following on different blogs and such that are reporting people who ordered after me who are recieving them. If you call and you have your sisters order number you'd have a pretty strong case. I'm not saying a call would do anything, but I would definately give it a shot.

I just got the above email too literally 1 minute ago with regards to my 5/23 placed order. At least it's nice knowing they acknowledged my email and I'll hopefully get the battery after the system "eventually" ships.

 

the grammar is terrible in that email
there should be no comma after "recent email" as it changes the whole meaning of the sentence (it doesn't make sense)

What do you mean by BADASS! is it realy bad machine? technical problem?

 

i wonder how they decide whose email to reply to at [email protected]. I have sent emails to websales, critical, and my sales rep listed on the order, and no one has gotten back. My first email was more than two weeks ago, probably almost 3 by now, and my second email is over 48 hrs.

 

My emails are not answered! as well! living in void! don't know what to do! What's your configuration birdguy!

 

i ordered 2 of T61s with slightly different HD and expansion slots on 5/17, T7300, X3100 grpahics, 1GB RAM, WXGA+ no cam, 80GB/160GB, MediaCard/ExpressCard, Thinkpad wireless b/g, turbo mem.

My order hasn't been rebooked. it's still missing the missing parts, seems like when they stopped rebooking, they haven't gotten back on track yet. it's just so frustrating to feel that i have waited for so long, and there is no communication from lenovo when i write them, and my only reprieve is to cancel the order, but i come back in full in my logic--but i wait for so long already...

I called today and was told that my 5/29 T61 order has a 7/18/07 estimated ship date now, and it was just put on the 'critical list' as well. I'll call back in a week and see if there are any changes in the shipping date.

 

I finally got tired of Lenovo's order process, although I still believe in the product itself. I ordered on 5/16 and still haven't received the freebie email or had my order rebooked. I ordered another T61 from Euclid Computers. They have a number of preconfigured models, and ship out the very next day. I ordered mine yesterday, got shipping confirmation today and will receive it tomorrow. I had to compromise with the T7300 processor (my original system with Lenovo had the T7700 on it), but that's a price I'm willing to pay for my time and trouble. I strongly suggest people who are beginning to get frustrated check the website out (or another reseller's) - who knows, you might end up finding the same system there and will get it a lot sooner.

 

Ordered T61 on 6/9, got shipping notice on 6/13 and received my laptop this afternoon 6/15!!!! My jaw dropped when I got the system!! I just used their free shipping service.

 

Seems everyone here who got their laptop shipped has the 14.1" widescreen. I was wondering if anyone here with the T61 15.4" widescreen has gotten their orders shipped? I ordered on 6/3/07 and am still waiting after 2 weeks to have my order ship. Lenovo through an email promised me my order will ship by tomorrow but right now I call that BS. My quoted date is 6/28 which I'm *HOPING* it will ship earlier as if it ships on 6/28, I hope to get it soon as I'm traveling after that.

 

You've been waiting for... what? 2 Weeks? Many people are going on well over 4 weeks. Take a number and get in line.

I ordered on 6/12, with the same config and it said shipping day was 8/3. I called lenovo and the Jia Jun Wang told me "well you will get laptop in 3-4 weeks, good bye"

I was thinking of getting it on euclid, but it was 40 dollars more for integrated graphics, vista instead of pro and no cam

 

Hmm... you do tend to compromise a little by ordering on Euclid, but it works for people who need a laptop soon, or more importantly, a definitive ship date.

Well I definitely considered it, but I decided to wait, should I call and complain and try to get a real ship date instead of some vague august one?

Ordered on 6/7 and received 6/15 weird is that my lenovo order status was never updated from In process and ESD is still 6/26
I also ordered the docking station and it was shipped on 6/14, got a tracking number and it's sitting in HODGKINS, IL

 

Thats where my memory (from newegg) is sitting as well

 

the UPS hodgkins, IL facility must have someone working there and not scanning packages...

i've tried looking up how fast express is, and i think it's 1-2 days and arrives by 10:30 AM.
since you have to be there for shipment (to sign) i'll stay around and just be late for work

I've got a matching 1Gb SO DIMM here and Vista Ultimate. I'm going to reformat and install the 64-bit version of Vista.

 

Haven't seen any T7700 shipped yet! has anyone seen T7700 Shipped with T61?

This may have been answered already, but has ANYONE who ordered between 5/9 and 5/25 had their T61 shipped to them yet? Or are all these laptops still listed as being "in process"

 

I've another one that I ordered on 5/16 that I've been trying to cancel and it's still 'in progress'...<sigh>
