    T61 Delayed

    Apparently my order just got rebooked. It sent me an email as if I just ordered from them.

    I ordered on 5/21 with estimated shipping date of 6/7. On 6/7 it was pushed back to 6/26. Then I got the rebook email today and the new estimated date is 8/27. I thought Lenovo fixed the buggy order date thing?

    This is getting really annoying. I just want to know when I will get my damn laptop. I doubt I'll ever order from Lenovo again.

    I ordered a T60P on 05/25. 1st EST- 06/20.

    Received 2nd EST today for 08/27.

    I have to call them to see when I can get my order now.

    No, the delays are pretty much a problem for the people who ordered between May 9th and May 24th.

    The computer glitch only accounts for part of the delays. I ordered on 5/29 and have the same delays as you. However, my delays may be for a different reason.

    It seems like if you ordered 6/7 or later, then there's no delay.

    Lenovo should fire its production incharge, VP of production, Manager of Production who didn’t ran sample tests before making order-processing and Bill-Of-Material process for T61 into action and didn’t notice the problems for 3 weeks!!!! and he is shipping the system ordered months after us! and we are facing or have to deal with august shipping dates. without any information to us! just false promises after promises. It doesn’t look like VP of Production or Manufacturing is aware about this. Not even president of lenovo otherwise they will take necessary action to not to upset more people / prospective customers.

    They need to rebook all your orders. It makes sense to finish the orders that don't need to be rebooked (the ones ordered later), so that theres no backlog later. So while yours are being rebooked, the rest of company is going normally.

    No, they don't. they can start shipping already rebooked orders instead of waiting. Mine and others were rebooked before you ordered! This is definately insult.

    OK, then I don't know. It's probably cause yours is custom (like parts have to be added right). Mine was just the preconfigured model. Lowest possible one i guess. So, it was already there made, and they shipped. Either that or i got extremely lucky with my timing.

    Dell Latitude Although i think the Dell Latitudes that have nvidia are being delayed too. Not to sure on that though.

    It was the cheapest one, thats what i mean. Like, i didn't customize it at all. Thats probably why i got it earlier.

    Hopefully Lenovo is getting their act together. I actually called customer support and was only on hold for like 15 mins! Also, I was assured that my T61 would definitely ship by 6/26. I guess I'll try and keep a positive outlook until the 26th rolls around.

    i just called customer service and was told the est. ship date is not correct and lenovo is trying to fix this problem.

    By the way, i ordered T61 on 06/18, est 08/09. I was told just now that my laptop will be shipped in 2 weeks.

    It is good to keep the hope up. However, I believe the waiting time has been reducing cuz many people don't bother calling Lenovo anymore as reps' give conflicting info that in many acasions end up being totally wrong.
    This is my case...sad but true :eek:

    Honestly and by no means I want to spoil it for ya but I think your ESD 08/09 may be right (or at least set your mind for some date close to it)
    I ordered 06/01 and my originally ESD was 06/20 (my rep confirmed me 3 times my T61 would be shipped in 2-3 weeks) which of course did not happen and yesterday it jumped to 08/13. My rep told me this date is a glitch and that I should expect the system to ship between the 1st and 2nd week of July.
    In the end I must admit I don't trust this or any other date given by reps as so far none seem to be close to reality...

    I ordered in may and have given up on this. Im going to order off a reseller. Currently, I'm trying to cancel my order and I talked to 2 reps and they said it would take 2 days to cancel. Well here is the 2nd day and it hasn't been cancelled yet.

    How long has it taken you guys to cancel your order?

    The first rep I talked to (cancell r61 and get t61 instead) said he could not but it would cancell after 2 days. 4 went by called another rep and he did it while i was on the phone with him.

    Note that your card shouldn't have been charged yet cuz Lenovo don't do it until the unit ships.
    Check it cuz if it has been, you machine could be on its way :p

    jd, I got the indication from the directlenovo status page and I didn't get the email yet. As of right now through this whole fiasco which just ended recently for me, e-mail from lenovo doesn't do squat as far as I'm concerned. The only REAL indication indicating that your notebook has shipped is either:
    1. It shows "Shipped on x/x/xxxx" on DirectLenovo
    2. Your credit card as been charged. As it's been indicated, your CC will be charged the full amount when your order ships.

    Is direct lenovo only a US thing. For my order (from canada), i just got an email that said it has been released for shipping and will arrive in 2-3 business days. I didn't get a tracking number.

    Does lenovo send confirmation emails if you have a 3 year warranty upgrade on your order. I got a confirmation email that my order has shipped, but my order status page still says "in process". I called lenovo and they said that in their computers it shows that it hasn't shipped and they can't tell me why I got those emails and that they only know it hasn't shipped.

    Has anyone else who has purchased upgraded warranties get these confirmation emails before their order has actually shipped?

    I just checked my order status and it still shows 8/27 as the estimated date and "in process" but my credit card has a pending charge for the full amount of the laptop now. My order was rebooked two days ago, so I'm not sure whether this means it is shipping out or whether it's just a check to see if I have the funds. I hope it's the former.

    I also have a pending charge for the amount of my laptop. I thought they didn't charge you until it ships and my ship date is a month away? This seems a little ridiculous.

    I placed an order about a week ago through Lenovo Canada and was put through the "priority list" according to the email I got so mine shipped out 2 days later but it was a topseller so thats got to have sped things up also

    OK, so much for the crap about prioritizing those who have been waiting - 6/12 is after my order was rebooked! This has now crossed into the realm of totally unacceptable. Lenovo will be getting a not-particularly-happy phone call tomorrow (assuming they actually answer instead of dropping my call again), followed by a complaint to the BBB.

    It's no fault of yours nullane, of course - this just clearly shows that Lenovo couldn't care less about their customers.

    They don't have CTO orders in Canada, so they can only be jealous of our frustrations!

    Hey, I'm Canadian (living in the US) and we love our CTO! No GST on our orders, but forever delayed... :D

    I ordered mine on 5/12... you would think they could get it right. I think its a bit ridiculous that people who ordered theres a month later have already received their laptop, and mine hasn't even shipped (not your fault of course). Lenovo has done a poor poor job.
