T61 Delayed

Mine hasn't shipped. Originally ordered on May 9th, reordered on May 31st and rebooked on June 15th. Has anyone noticed...none of the currently shipped laptops have the Intel T7700 processor?

 

Mine hasn't shipped, either. Placed the original order on May 19th, was rebooked on the 12th. I got the freebie e-mail, and the confirmation of my gift, but that's it. The only thing that differs mine from others I've seen is that I ordered Vista Business 64, which is no longer an option, I notice, but if I call them and they try to blame that I will have to have a few choice words with their lying butts, as I sincerely doubt Microsoft is having trouble generating keys!

 

I also selected Vista 64bit version on my original order. I was told that is no longer an option because of driver problems. This could be the reason why your order is being held up. I changed mine from the vista business 64bit to the Vista Ultimate 32bit version

 

I've been noticing the same trent. I ordered mine on 05/29 and rebooked it on 06/01 (config changed + Lenovo system issue) w/T7700 processor and it hasn't shipped. My rep (not that I trust reps theses days) told me I should expect 1st or 2nd week of July. He didn't mention the processor though

 

My order finally shipped ... original order went in on 5/25 and has been stuck at an 8/29 ESD since inception (was 6/8 briefly). I have received ZERO direct communication from Lenovo. I don't know if my order was rebooked, but I did call once and was told that my order was part of the 4,000 orders with the bezel problem.

I only found out my order shipped by checking the shipping status -- I did not get an e-mail saying my order shipped. Good luck to everyone!

After checking UPS, judging by the type of service it says was used (I ordered standard...but it says express), those of us who had our laptops ship this week will actually receive them this week. I'm happy.

So, it seems that the shipment of T61 is very quickly. However, the X series are a bit bad!

It's good to see that Lenovo shipped a system w/T7700. So far this is the 1st I've seen.

wtf. why hasnt mine shipped yet? i ordered on 6/18 and i havent gotten an email or anything yet. i called lenovo on friday and they said that a realistic ship date was 4-5 weeks.

yep it is for real. unfortunately, lenovo didn't give me the free upgrade to express shipping. mine is showing expedited service with an arrival date on friday. it is stuck in shenzen, cn at the moment. oh well, 1 week seems like a short wait compared to the month i waited for it to ship.

 

Ordered T61 15.4" on June 3rd and estimated ship date is the 28th.

Still waiting and have fingers crossed.

I have a pretty good feeling it won't. I think they screwed something else up with my order. I'm not sure what they did, but if you've read my other posts I got 2 false shipping confirmation emails on thursday. Nothing charged to the credit card and lenovo reps told me my computer has definately not shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if they need to rebook it again and I have to wait another month.

Ordered on 5/14 with the 7700 processor, and still has not shipped; just a third ship date of August 18. I finally called a rep on Friday, and they said that it would be the 2nd or 3rd week of July. I got frustrated and canceled the order. My original rep contacted me, and said to wait for a "special" support person to call today to try to expediate the order. I'll keep you all posted.

 

Ordered 6/5... ESD is 6/29, but my sales rep said 2 weeks ago today that it would ship in 1-2 weeks...

I'm starting to get a little antsy...

And seriously, I know I haven't been waiting since May, but all of you who ordered way after me and already have your notebooks... please stop gloating.

This is weird. I just saw a notice on the door from ups saying they attempted to deliver a package from lenovo at 10:30 this morning. My actual order just shipped today. I got a call from someone at lenovo telling me my package shipped and they gave me the tracking number. The tracking number still says "billing info receieved." I called UPS to see how much the package they tried delivering today weighs. They said 3.9 lb's, so that doesn't seem to be my computer, and it seems to heavy to be the 6 cell "gift" battery I ordered. This is a mystery because I didn't order anything else from them.

Oh and UPS said it was shipped on 6/21 which is when I received those false shipping confirmation emails.

 

Well, 3.9 Kgs (not lbs) is the actual T61 shipment weight. Maybe the first shipment is the computer and the latest one is the freebie. In any case, check with your credit card company about the charges -- that would provide a better picture on what's happening.

 

no charges on my credit card yet, I called them 20 minutes ago. The package that shipped from lenovo today which is my actual computer weighs 3.8 Kgs. The UPS rep said the package they tried delivering today weighs 3.9 lbs. Maybe she mistook the lbs and Kgs. Maybe lenvo sent me two computers and one is a gift for waiting so long

Yes, if the package isn't out for delivery already, you can pick it up from their local warehouse.

I ordered a T61/T7500/160gb/14.1 SXGA+ w/o cam/Win Vista Ultimate on 5/16/07. MY ESD went from 6/5/07 to 8/9/07 and I called today and they said that is a REALISTIC ship date since the 160gb hard drives are out of stock?!?!

Has anyone who placed an order in May with a 160gb harddrive recieved their T61???

I'll wait till I see the price of the XPS m1330 before I cancel but this seems ridiculous!

 

ye, you can pick up a package from UPS. They said they have to get in touch with the driver and see when he is supposed to get back to the warehouse so I can pick it up. The warehouse isn't even 5 minutes from my house.

 

Not yet, but it's in transit. My 5/25 order had the 160 Gb drive (regular 5400 rpm w/o encryption)and it just shipped over the weeknd. I also heard about the rumor on 160 Gb drive shortages a while back but my rep told me it was not true. That was back on the 6/13.

Out of curiosity, how many people bought through EPP? For me, It took just just under three weeks to get receive it. I put my order for part number : 766416U in on June 5th through EPP Canada
