T61p Buyers Post your Shipping Dates Here

People getting their orders cancelled due to the actions of an inept CSR I can understand. But we can't really make claims about orders never being shipped if orders haven't been shipped yet. With people starting allegations about laptops never getting built due to orders being shifted from one magical queue to another is just simple fear mongering at its best, and a poor interpretation of what they are being told over the phone at its worst. In the end, I fear everyone is just getting all riled up over something that really hasn't happened. When custom T61ps start shipping and people who ordered first aren't getting them... THEN they have a leg to stand on for a valid BBB complaint. But to assume that an order won't ship because you ordered something that wasn't in supply and was lost because they put your order in 'a disappearing pile' and forgot about it, is just silly.

Not to say it doesn't happen, but I doubt it will happen to hundreds of valid orders. And if it does... then Lenovo has more to worry about then 15 - 20 buyers on NBR complaining about not having their T61p yet.

 

Welp, you guys can all assume your getting moved up one slot. I'm canceling my order.

I'm now the proud owner of a MacBook Pro and couldn't be happier.

 

If you don't have UWB then you can't have WUSB.

 

For anybody who had their laptops rebooked: when you reordered the laptop at the time when the WUSB option was taken out, does that mean you wont get WUSB???

Any of you guys think it'd be worth it to place another order, and see if it gets here first (original order still has UWB WUSB)?

Well, I just ordered today and the ESD is 9/11. But since it doesnt have UWB or WUSB it might come sooner.

What would be awesome is, if someone else ordered a laptop with the same specs as mine thats just waiting for UWB and WUSB to come in, make that my build and it will ship out in like 2 days.

Anyone know if you can add WWAN to a t61p after you've ordered a unit without it built in? Or would I have to by an Express card after market item from Sprint/Verizon/ATT ?

i don't think you're buying an aftermarket express card, I think you're buying an aftermarket fits into the ITM slot. If you have ITM i dunno if it'll fit?

 

Um. You don't make any sense. If an item is not being shipped, that is how you know it's not being shipped, and that's why you call in. By your logic, we would never call it in, because it is never here!

 

He is the same one I talked to regarding my X60t issues. Awesome guy who managed to get me a X61t for replacement. I dont think he can do much about shipping delays however but if it is replacement/price adjustment etc he will be the one to talk to.

 

I was thinking the same thing but I didn't know if it was worth it. If a shipping delay wasn't worth a BBB complaint this thread could easily be continued until 2020...

 

Just curious, am I the only person who had thier T61p ordered cancelled today and receive a phone call from Lenovo?

Now I'm trying to call back and get some answers... "there were problems with my order, thanks for your patience, we will get you on a critical list, etc... was the voicemail left for me"

I'm even more ticked cause the T61 I ordered and then thought I cancelled just shipped!

Anyway, just curious. I never thought they'd flat out cancel my T61p order.

Thought so too, but I'll wait till the Lenovo rep calls back. Also the voicemail he left kept saying problem with order. I think 1 month ago they just never cancelled my T61 order or like you said, screwed up the wrong one.

I was so excited too cause I used my work's EPP, eBates and Amex tailormade going and had that T61p down around $1700... but alas.

If I can reorder with no UWB and get around the same price (or less) for a T61p, I'll put in a RMA for the incoming T61.

 

7/11? Can you double check your original order to see if WUSB/UWB is included? If you ordered on 7/11, it should be, which means T61ps WITH WUSB are gonna ship soon. Hmmmmmmmmm.

I am shocked at how people are so shocked at someone saying what everyone is thinking.... FYI Sales Support is saying the 20th Now on shipping.. I have been escalated to some executive support group.. If they have no T7500's then They will have to give me a T7700 ITS JUST THAT SIMPLE

 

Brusso99 i think you are over reacting. I ordered mine on monday, but I get access to the ibm EPP, which is probably why i got mine shipped so fast. Also, there is no UWB and no bluetooth.
If that is not why i got my shipped, they might have messed it up.
Either way, they kept me happy.

 

I dont believe its over reacting when you order a product the same hour it is released on the day its released and they dont have the parts to ship what they released. THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF EVERY PART to ship what they offered AT LEAST for the first several thousand orders, THIS is a billion dollar company not a 12year old in his moms basement.. They have no excuse!!!

DO NOT PURCHASES ANY MORE FROM THEM UNTILL THEY GET IT TOGETHER!!!!

The order I placed on 7/21 listed the Wireless USB Adapter in the parts list. The order I placed yesterday doesn't have anything about the WUSB adapter, or any other WWAN/UWB type of device.

 

That is to be expected. They took WUSB off the site so the laptops will ship faster, does anyone know if the ones bought from CDW and Inight have UWB?

 

They said that when it was released on the website, it was a pre-order. Lenovo has no responsibility to have the parts in stock when it is a pre-order. Additionall, Lenovo is not the only company that has done this, dell did it eith its M1330

 

This is utter BS. Why are people who are ordering this week and last already receiving their laptops, when the others who ordered in July still being offered empty promises? If it's the case of WUSB, why not just ship it without this part since they seem to be nonexistent.

 

According to his post, he ordered 8/6. 3 days to ship? HOLY ****. Hope the same thing happens to my order.
