My status page just changed this morning to say that my T61p shipped today!!! My last ESD on the status page was the 31st and the Lenovo reps kept telling me the 25th. I don't have a tracking # yet but I will post again when I get it (supposed to be tomorrow morning). I ordered on the morning of 7/12 and I have the UWB antenna and WUSB and all that. Like a dummy, I ordered mine with ground shipping because it was supposed to ship in 1 to 2 weeks. They couldn't change my shipping without bumping my order so I may not see mine until late next week.

 

My order for the T61 with UWB finally shipped. Ordered on 07/20/2007. ESD 08/22/2007. I was told the other day I was put on the critical list. Good Luck everyone else. T61's and T61p's with UWB are finally shipping.

P.S. Have not received the email confirmation yet. I check the order status page. So, do not have a tracking # just yet. Shipped on 08/11/2007.

 

Interesting how apparently in China, you can ship UPS out on a Saturday.

 

MINE SHIPPED!!!!!!!!! No tracking number just yet, but I will let you guys know where it is whenever I get the number. I ordered on the 11th with UWB and WUSB. I Almost peed my pants when I checked it this morning. I got 2 day shipping even though I didn't ask for it, but I paid for it. Stupid Sales Rep.

Funny, I waited exactly one month for mine to get shipped. That's ridiculous.

Son-of-a-b****, I got emails about my orders from the credit department saying that they have been declined. I called the CC company and they said that they thought my card was stolen, because that was uncharacteristic of me. They said to have them process the charges and they would go through without issue now. Now here is where I get pissed. I have been calling the Credit Card department since and have yet to get a person on the phone. I hope this does not delay my order any more than normal.....

Any other number I can call to clear this up as office to which the number I have is closed on weekends?

It doesn't look like they have an address to ship it to you. You're screwed. My order status page looks roughly the same but it shows my addy.

It took me almost a full minute of looking for the estimated ship date before I realized it had shipped. When I didn't see the ESD, I started getting pissed because I was sure they were screwing me over somehow. This thread made me paranoid.

 

I think he removed his address from the pic for privacy reasons.

Has anyone in this thread ever done any wardriving? I want to do some with my T61p, I bought this antenna. But I'm not sure if It will work with NetStumbler. Are there any other programs you guys know of?

Whoa, coincidence! My laptop must be in the same "batch", because here's my tracking info. from UPS:

My hope is that it's standard procedure for packages coming from overseas...after all, it's rescheduled for Monday, which isn't so bad. On checking mine, it's had a "rescheduled delivery" calculated, so given all the similarities between our tracking information, i'm fairly certain you'll soon see the same.

 

That's how it goes when it's overseas. Mines at customs with a delivery date of Monday too....

Hey, Question, How long did it take from when you knew your laptop was shipped to when you got a tracking number? I have that the status of mine is shipped, but I still don't have a tracking number

 

On my order status page, it said below that a tracking number would be available next morning. So it took about half a day - yesterday it said it shipped on 8/10, and this morning (8/11) I had said tracking number.

Did yours just ship today? If so, hopefully your tracking number will be posted tomorrow.

If otherwise, maybe it's time to call Lenovo. I'd first look for the little note (in smaller print) underneath the "Shipped XX/XX/2007" text.

Do these batteries have a battery meter on the battery itself where you can press a button and know how much of a charge it has?

 

I hope so, but then you can always tell your battery is dead when your laptop refuses to turn on .
