i ordered on 8/29 with the same screen and mine isn't going to be shipped until 9/17...how does that work?

 

i just called lenovo to get my order status and the reasoning behind the delay he wouldnt transfer me soo i started cussing at the indian in his own language (no im not indian im asian). the ediot wouldnt transfer to his superfizer he said he doesnt have one.so hes transfering me to the field group or something.. he didnt transfer me to the complaint department like i asked or is the field group the complaint department?.. im gonna cancel my t61p.. or should i wait? order it from another company already made?

Ordered 8/29 and shipped today.

My ESD was 9/17 - I assume yours is as well. Yours will probably go out today or tomorrow. Check status?

 

Man, this is getting me all excited! I ordered on 8/29 as well... (really 8/28 really but I'm PST). If mine doesn't ship this weekend I'm calling them for an update. I can't see myself getting screwed on two separate T61p orders... who's luck is that bad?

 

I called right when I ordered on the 29th and they said they had plenty of wxsga+ in stock (he said he was a bit surprised) and that there would be no problem fulfilling the order.

I wouldnt be at all surprised if yours updates to shipped today or tomorrow. I ordered 8/29 pst time so I'm surprised yours hasnt updated already.

 

Just pinged my RO about the order to see if he can give me a status check. My card pre-auth'd the next day and everything, so I know I'm good for it. I choose Vista Ultimate since I saved so much money on the sale and went with 100GB 7200 RPM... aside from that, I can't think of anything else that would be different from your order. Went with Intel Wireless N and BlueTooth PAN. We'll see what happens.

 

I did go with vista ultimate, wireless n and bt pan.. I cant imagine in the least that a 100 7200rpm drive would be hard to come by - I'm sure they stock these like crazy. I only ordered with 1GB ram though - not sure if you ordered 4GB off the bat.

 

Nah just the minimum 1GB. I have 2x2GB of Crucial Memory sitting in the wrappers waiting for this bad boy. And they've been waiting here since I ordered my 1st T61p, but I tried em out on my g/f's Inspiron 1420, so we're good.

 

still in process, mcbrided. I did order around 8:30 PM EST on the 29th though, so if it doesn't ship out today, it should ship out tomorrow.

 

Anyone else order on 8/12 or later and still waiting on their t61p w/ WUXGA? I see a few people here who ordered before 8/12 got their t61p w/ WUXGA laptops. I guess they used up their latest shipment of WUXGA screens on the last batch that went out, I must've just barely missed the cutoff.

 

Heh, we got people from July who still haven't recieved their T61p's with WUXGA (and Wireless USB) yet. My RO assures me 9/3 - 9/7 is when the next wave is to ship with WUXGA. We'll see...

 

I ordered the new t61p wsxga yesterday and cancelled my old t61p wuxga order today. According to someone on the forum, his/her t61p wsxga was ordered on 8/29, and shipped today!

Hahaha, yeah, I should've been more specific. I was specifically referring to those who got WUXGA and no WUSB (because the option wasn't available).

 

Yes, but you can't bank on the newer order shipping so soon. Remember we represent just a small demographic of people who ordered the newer T61p model. I'm sure Lenovo is now filling out orders placed in the hundreds if not thousands on this new model now... especially since they are practically giving them away with all the stackable deals to be had.

I'm on the 9/7 ship date with my very first order, so if I don't get my newer order in time, I'll stick with the WUXGA and WUSB. I'd suggest cancelling one order once another one ships... just to be sure.

I ordered my T61p (WUXGA, UWB) on 7/19 and all they are going to give me is $50 for the delay. My new ESD is 9/25. I might have to call BBB.

...well the WSXGA+ order did. The jury is still out on my long lost WUXGA order. I don't think the lack of WUSB will bother me... nor will I miss it, even when (or if) WUSB becomes mainstream.

 

Well i cancelled my old wuxga order and reordered a new wsxga+ t61p and it shipped yesterday. i made the new order on the 30th and was told i was on the critical list for the new order, well i guess it was the right move three days from order its shipped and ups says it will be here tomorrow thats five days from order to door not five work days, because three of those days were weekend and holiday (at least in the us, glad that labor day didn't slow things up in china). btw my new order was also two hundred dollars less than my original so i suppose i can live without the wuxga and uwb.

 

Yah, that's how I feel about it too. I'm not partial to the WUXGA display, and quite honestly, I'm glad the WSXGA+ became available. The only thing I'll miss out on is the WUSB... and considering there are wireless and bluetooth mice available... I'm covered on what I need in the wireless department. And we can always add it in later...

my cancelled WUXGA is still in process, after 4-5 days. lady said it was 'in the warehouse being built,' but i didn't believe her and cancelled anyway. staying firm, i was hoping she'd offer some incentives to keep my business. ha.

For those that purchased the WSXGA+ this weekend to get the 25% off, how many have seen the ESD as the day of purchase?

I purchased it a few hours ago, with an initial ESD of 9/3/07, and now it's at 9/20/07.

This is the second time I've tried to go with a Lenovo (WUXGA before), and bought a PBP thinking it would be a suitable alternative. Wrong. This thing is terrible.

I hope that the Lenovo performance lives up to what I'm looking for.

Please let me know if others had this happen as well, but ended up having theirs ship days after they ordered.

Hmmmm....

I order on September 1, and my ESD was Sep. 20 from the get go. I guess we will see how things play out during the week.

All the while, I still have the HP 8510w in the back of my mind which I can get similarly configured from newegg for not too much more and get it this week....

 

still waiting on WUXGA order to ship. placed 7/25, ESD 8/29, new ESD 9/28... semester begins on wednesday. probably need to call soon.

 

i think you should.. for some reason my esd is 9/10 and i ordered 8/08 at first mine was 9/15 then it went to 9/10.. wierd?or not?

i think it was a combination of EPP and the labor day sale. sorry, i should have mentioned that.

 

Mine has arrived and in very timely fashion. five days after i cancelled my old t61p with wuxga screen and reordered with wsxga+ my new computer is sitting in my living room charging. thats five days three of which were over the laborday weekend. if anyone is still waiting on wuxga, you may want to think about changing, also i saved $200 and many people have also complained about the high res screen. just some thoughts.

 

Interesting. I ordered 8:56AM 8/31 using the EPP website and it still shows ship date at 9/19 and "In Process" on the status page. My bank shows Lenovo put a hold on the funds. I wonder what the hold up is. Here is the configuration:

Hmm...I purchases through EPP too. I wonder if they have to check to make sure you are really an employee or something before giving you the discount.

They put a hold on funds to make sure the funds are available when they actually charge it. They don't charge till your system ships

 

Login is enough..they do not check, unless, a certain account is being abused. There were instances in the past were an employees name and SN was posted on the web and 100's of people tried to purchase with that login. Then it becomes a problem. If you genuinely have a login ID..you are good to go

UPS is usually pretty fast about their delivery dates. you should have gotten a tracking number with the shipping notice. when does UPS estimate the package will arrive?
