T61p Buyers Post your Shipping Dates Here

Mine is scheduled for delivery on 9/19 too. The X61 I brought in June also took 7 days to go from China to my home (although for 4 out of the 7 days it was just sitting in the KY warehouse waiting for the custom's clearance).

I don't know if it is normal, but when I tried to call them and to replace the power supply for my X61 on the second day it arrived, they couldn't find my serial number either. I had to wait 2 days before it shows up in their system.

 

I ordered a 14" SXGA+ T61p on the same day, and I have the same ESD. I haven't heard anything from Lenovo since the confirmation email though

 

My T61p has just been delivered. UPS awesome. can't wait to check my T61p but I am gonna get it on 9/19 cuz it's still in my dorm's mail room. Can't wait to be back to school.

Woohoo! My ESD of 9/13 has come and gone, and now my order status page shows 10/30 as the new ESD, without even an email letting me know my order has been delayed.

I ordered on 7/25/2007, current estimated ship date (according to website) is 9/28/2007. I called them and they told me it would ship no later then 9/21/2007. We'll see...

Is anyone still waiting for theirs to be shipped with an order date before mine? I'm wondering if maybe I'm on the outlying cusp and my order will be fulfilled soon.

I'm not in a huge hurry because this laptop is for work, and I still have my current one I can use until the new one gets here. But still, it's like someone telling you that you can have this new toy, but then holding it just out of your reach while you jump and try to grab for it.

 

My order date was 7/20. I have no idea what the ESD is anymore.

 

Well, my backpack arrived but the laptop is still "In Process." I wonder when it'll ship...

 

Ordered the T61p WSXGA+ 15.4" on 8/30. I recieved it on 9/13. Two weeks is pretty good in my opinion.

My order date was 7/11 and now I am pushed out to 10/08......

Doesn't matter though, cause I cancelled the order and got the lower resolution one (took all of one week!). I'll install the UWB myself and when its all said and done, this new configuration was $300 cheaper. The resolution upgrade isn't worth that!!

Haven't received any "order shipped" email from Lenovo yet and the tracking number isn't trackable yet, but I figure it will be soon.

Ordered with two day shipping - will I really receive in two days (like Mon or Tues) or is this thing going to still get stuck in customs for a week?

Hey gang, just wanted to let you konw the long awaiting WUXGA w/USB shipment of mine has shipped! I had to do a double take to accept it.

We'll see if it ships Express as promised, that means I should be getting it by Monday.

Wtf Lenovo? The supervisor that was suppose to call me back never did call me back....I have been offered no compensations. They give me false information. I am technologically at a disadvantage right now being at school without a laptop. This sux

 

I got mine a week ago, and I'm quite happy with it. I wish I could have ordered it without an OS, but that's ok. Installed slackware dual booting with winxp, everything is great. I love it.

Good news for people still waiting for their WUXGA T61p.

Hope my July 20 order will ship next. Have been waiting for nearly 60 days

 

Weren't the WUXGA screens severely backordered? Hence why it was taken off the site.
In any case they should have informed those with the WUXGA orders of the situation and offer compensation and/or option to switch to WSXGA.

 

I ordered before you....:confused2: Lenovo strikes again. At least it gives me some hope now.

 

OK Here's the update guys:

A REAL supervisor (non-indian guy all the way in India) called and says that my WUXGA laptop will be shipping on Sept 19. He personally called and said that, leaving info. about his name etc. Sounds pretty legit. He offered a compensation of about $100 or so. What do you think?

I only got $50 when the shipping date for my June 2 order for the X61 was delayed to August 29 (almost 60days).

Then you should be speaking to a Resolutions Officer or Supervisor hand-holding you on what's going on... Have they given you a status update on yours? How much money you getting back?

My RO also upgraded my shipping to express and it went from Hong Kong to California over night! Gotta love it when you don't have to have your stuff stuck in the mid-west for several days due to 'Customs issues'.

 

Was about to call Lenovo, but I checked my status and it shipped today! Unfreakin' believable. No shipment tracking yet until tomorrow.

Guangzhou-INCHEON-Alaska-KS seems to be a slow route. I just hope that they won't need 6 days to get the custom clearance like what happened to my June X61 order. It was something like this:

 

Yeah! It sounds like the WUXGA screens are starting to ship. I just cancelled my order last week due to the delays, but I see it still in my account history, so I wonder if its really cancelled . Well, I'm not going to worry about it yet.

Yes! My T61p (with WUSB and the 15" WUXGA screen) shipped too! ... FINALLY!

I had called them The said they had upgraded me to 2-day shipping cause of the long wait and the order status page still says UPS Ground, so we'll see I guess.

I hope I like this larger screen after all this waiting!

I still need to buy some more RAM for it though... Can someone who has received one please post the brand of the RAM that they are using; I want to get as close of a match as possible.

 

So when did you guys order? I ordered 7/25 and mine still is showing not shipped?

I ordered 7/26. Over time, I think I called then about 6 times to ***** a little about the delay. At first they told me it would go out on 9/10, then I was told the 9/25... the whole time my ESD was reading 9/30... it just shipped today.

Based on the info I have from conversations with Lenovo, I would expect yours to ship between now and 9/25 and that you will also get your shipping upgraded to 2-day express.

I have a complaints manager handling my order. I ordered 7/20. People before and after me are getting theirs ship and my manager is telling me ESD of 9/25.

I ordered a T61 with the WUXGA on August 13th. The original ESD was September 13. Now its October 30... My classes are starting next week, do you guys think I have a chance of seeing my laptop soon?

 

My mini dock shipped today... still waiting for the system (t61p) to ship. Since it's WSXGA+ I hope to get it in reasonable delays, but like you all I'm impatient.

I called UPS today and was told it will be delivered on 9/20, although the UPS webpage still shows it will be delivered on time,on 9/19.
Maybe it happens to you also, or you will be more lucky than me.

 

My T61P finally shipped today. Order Date 7/20. Right before the 2 month mark.

Will someone who has had their WUXGA screen shipped recently, let us know what brand their lcd and keyboard is? Also a mini review of the screen would be nice.

 

Doh! I just cancelled my July T61p WUXGA order last week! I can't believe they're starting to ship again. Just my luck...

Wow, so I ordered a WUXGA on 9/6. But when I informed my sales rep to check out the the delays, he wasn't aware of the delays and didn't see an end coming soon. So, he cancelled the order and reordered on 9/13 with a WSXGA+ and now a possible delay with the WSXGA? Boy, I can't win. Yet, it doesn't seem like the WUXGA order was cancelled because I can still access the order. So does that mean it never got cancelled? I guess I should let my rep check it out, but part of me wants to see which ships first.

 

yeah, i really like tiny fonts. the screen real-estate will not be wasted at all. wuxga was a big selling point for me.
