    The WUXGA, 570m, and WUSB is all backordered. WUXGA and 570m is t61p only, so thats why it is taking so damn long to build and ship them.



    I'm in the same boat as you are bear. I want my t61p NOW.

    man, i'm thinking about cancelling and just buying some t60p off ebay. i paid a pretty penny for this, and i'm beginning to think it might not be worth this much time, money, and effort... especially since there seems to be serious confusion over there where my stuff should be shipped. i don't want to have to call lenovo again :mad:

    I'm thinking about editing my order, from T7500 to T7700.

    Worth it? I'm going to be doing a lot of 3D rendering and I'm wondering if that extra bit will be noticably faster so I can get more sleep than I did last year.

    Benchmarks show a bigger increase from t7300 to t7500; I doubt that the t7700 is worth it.

    After you posted that you order 7/11 and now got 8/30, I had to check my 7/18 order. On the order status mine hasn't changed, it's still 8/20 (also fully config'd except for ram and 2.0ghz not top cpu).

    I'll check in throughout the day, maybe they're updaitng ESDs by order date. I was really hoping 8/20 was worst case scenario, not best case.

    Well that, and look at the estimated shipping date....

    For what it's worth, Lenovo Rep has just confirmed that mine is shipping today and said that I should be receiving a tracking number this afternoon. Do I believe him? Hell no, but that's what he said.

    Only saving grace is that I used the 'pay it later' method so at least they aren't tying up my $

    I was ready to give up and order the Dell 1330, but I see it's an even longer running joke.

    I suppose Sony will be up with the next joke on their SZ6 series.


    I'm about to start lugging my desktop around, sure wish my 4150 hadn't crapped the bed.

    Nah, supervisors are definitely better. No one even had a direct line to the warehouse (email only) until I got a hold of one in my two lenovo battles.

    Now the ESD is 8/30.

    Currently on hold to see what the deal is. I might cancel

    Best one I've encountered... I get some bologna about why my esd is 8/20 and basically realized that the guy was just making stuff up. So i ask for a supervisor. He says "there is no one here" then he says "its impossible because we are located in India" then I ask his name: Christopher Rosario (sounds Indian to me) and his employee id number is Y02 which seems awfly short to me. So Im at the point where Im gonna prolly cancel my order or something. Too bad ever since lenovo took over IBM the service has sucked. Used to be every call was answered in Atlanta or Raleigh. Man I hate outsourcing.

    What time did you call? Remember Lenovo's Support Department in North Carolina is 9am - 6pm EST. (If memory serves) If you called anytime after that (which you probably called the general inquiries line) you're going to get oursourced assistance. And just so you know, alot of companies allow outsourced support techs to choose ... more 'American' names so you feel more comfortable talking to them. But that's neither here nor there...

    If you want a fast food laptop, there's always the local Best-Buy. Otherwise, just get in line like the rest of us. :)

    When I ordered, that paged listed line item by line item exactly what parts I ordered with the computer... such as processor, ram, HDD, etc... a week ago it went away...

    Oh, yeah, I thought you meant that it said somewhere that lenovo had a lack of parts. Yeah mine only says configured system. Anyway, I'm afraid I'm not gonna get what I ordered. As long as it has UWB.
