    I googled similar situations, a delay of 1 or more days looks pretty common. I don't expect mine to arrive tomorrow. Hopefully Friday because otherwise, I'll have to wait until next week.

    seems to be the same thing, but I have import scan between the two "warehouse entry..etc" things. Maybe that Import Scan means it cleared customs? But there there is another "Warehouse entry clearance details..." Not sure what that line means. The top of the page still says exception, but the scheduled delivery says tomorrow, Thursday.

    Hope it comes tomorrow. What does the scan say once it has cleared customs?

    Where are you seeing "on time"? On my tracking page it only says "in transit" at the top, and there is no mention of exceptions or hold-ups for invoices. I hope this isn't a bad thing...

    I called...long story short, it will only be a one-day delay, just like others in the thread had mentioned. On their computer, they already have the package in transit, and I'll *hopefully* have my laptop to me by tomorrow.

    It really sucks though. You wait so long as it is for the machines to get built and then shipped from flipping shanghai, the LEAST Lenovo could do is to make sure their electronic invoice submission process is reliable.

    I am assuming this is where the breakdown is based on past posts from people who have been through this.


    I used to go to this sandwich shop near here where they make your sub fresh and you can see the people making the sandwiches. But when the sandwich is made they put it on a shelf where person X needs to grab it from when then say "order up!" and 9 times out of ten the guy is taking orders on the phone or from customers in line and my sandwich sits there with me starving waiting....waiting....

    I don't go there anymore.

    Ordered: April 29, 2011
    Shipped: May 6, 2011
    Received: May 10, 2011 in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

    Good turn around here. It was an I7 with IPS screen and most bells and whistles with only 2GB memory (that I replaced) and the standard 250GB hard drive (that I replaced with my SSD drive).

    Sorry for those waiting but sometimes they do deliver quicker than they say (it was supposed to ship in 17 business days but it shipped in 6 business days).

    sorry for the rant, but I can just visualize a poorly run IT department where a disconnect takes place @ Lenovo and causes massive frustration for hundreds of customers.

    I hope I am wrong and our packages start moving, but we'll see.

    I placed my order on 5/2, got my shipping notice on 5/6, and UPS tracking says it will be delivered today (5/12). Some part shortages are probably causing delays. (I'm guessing battery and IPS 3x3 screen).

    Mine has green Clearance completed at top and says it will be delivered tomorrow.....my stuff all seems the same as everyone else. Hope it leaves there soon and makes it to me tomorrow! :) Not sure why it was released at 10:43am and then went through some requests again and then released again at 1:13pm. I hope it is actually through customs now and really on its way...

    Mine also now says "Clearance Completed" at the top and it says to be delivered by end of day Friday. Looking at the history though, you can see that it gets cleared and somehow goes back to customs. It makes absolutely no sense.

    I've found that Lenovo always has this problem every year, don't those idiots ever learn to be a bit more organized? Last year some people had their laptops delayed by more than a week. I really hope mine is actually in transit now as it says.

    Thanks to forum poster Shayes, there is a good deal currently going at the Mastercard Marketplace site for the X220.

    Note: you do not need to have a Mastercard.

    I was able to buy at $400 less than the the normal Lenovo.com price.

    Here is what I did:

    1. Went to the Mastercard Marketplace site.
    2. Signed up (Entered an email address)
    3. Searched for 'Lenovo'
    4. Clicked their Lenovo link. Discovered that I was now at the Lenovo Employee Discount site. (The prices are now already reduced.)
    5. Noted all of the coupon codes that I was shown throughout this process.
    6. Configured my laptop.
    7. Entered the four different coupon codes that I was given, and chose the best deal.

    I got:

    Intel Core i7-2620M Processor (2.7GHz, 4MB L3, 1333MHz FSB) USB 3.0

    well I got my update from when I called regarding my own order #. The lady on the phone said "it's not showing up in our system, let me call warehouse to find an update and I will email you back".

    She emailed me in an under an hour saying "Hello, Your X220 will be shipping out today. Thank You"

    I assumed she was just abbreviating X220 tablet. She clearly had the right order # to have emailed me back without asking for my email address on the phone. She may have seen the words "X220" on my order and forgotten to search for the tablet version. I don't know.

    So I ordered an x220 on the 7th, and my money was taken from the bank account immediately (on pending) but today I checked and the pending status was gone. It's like my money was refunded or something? Has this happened to you guys? My shipping date is still set for 6/1 on the website.

    Yea, shop.lenovo.com seems to be a disaster today. The site (lenovo.com) is extremely slow, but shop.lenovo.com is down totally. You can enter an order in a cart, but it will time out trying to go to any of the 3 payment methods. And of course everyone in China or Lexington or wherever is asleep.

    question Zondaz? How did you get the camera? The website only has a choice of "no camera."

    Edit: I also tried the Mastercard Marketplace. That was up and I got my discount code but when it tried to take me to the shop.lenovo.com page it was indeed down from that direction also. So Lenovo is dead in the water today and tonite.
