X200 - Have any shipped yet?

Been using it for almost about a month and I've been very impressed with the speed (I think it's due to SSD - I had P7350 2GB RAM and 160GB 5400RPM HD running about 50 processors at startup compared to P8600 2GB RAM 64GB SSD running about 80 processors) - X200 is so much faster, it's not even comparable, especially the shut down speed.

And of course, battery life is amazing. I never took AC adapter outside yet. One day, I was at the library for about 8 hours and it still had quite a lot of power left.

 

Update: Microsoft is sending me a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1. I guess everything should be okay. Thanks for all the help before.

 

Seeing all these posts of delayed shipments makes me feel good that if I wanted to buy one, I could just go downtown and buy one in store!

Also played with one earlier, makes me wanna get one to replace my aging Acer
seems alright, the bezel is kinda big but anyone can get used to that...

 

I got used to the bezel already. It was really quick because this machine is awesome!

 

so my extra ram has finally shipped... but my x200 hasn't... lol how ironic....

Ya I'm around 3 weeks now. Got my RAM and SATA kit for the UltraBase a couple of days ago. Between this and my monitor delayed 3 weeks from Dell I'm really losing faith in these companies. Then again I didn't really have any in Dell...

 

Just called Lenovo right now - the guy said that it's currently being built and will be shipped in 1-2 weeks. He said they should have an estimated date probably this afternoon..

I know I shouldn't be complaining when people have been waiting over 3 weeks, but I just hate the waiting game

 

If you have your machine being built at the warehouse then don't worry too much. They ship out within a week usually. Mine took 2 days after my order was sent to the warehouse.

I just called this evening about the Thinkpad X200 I ordered that should have shipped today, only to be told the new worse case is October 2nd. Since that's next week, it isn't too bad (if it still ships on or by the 2nd).

It's according to the web site - I'll update you guys tomorrow on what happens lol.. I find this kind of hard to believe.

But then again, I ordered the 4-cell battery and I didn't get the fingerprint reader so it might come a little earlier than others.

 

The website now shows an est. ship date of October 9 for me. Ordered the 4-cell battery and fingerprint reader. So maybe it is the fingerprint reader?

I ordered my X200 (through a friend in the US) on September 11, during the EPP-for-everyone-promotion. My estimated shipping date was September 25 and I called twice (last call was this week) and chatted once with Lenovo staff to make sure that there were no credit card verification problems or something else that would hold up the order from being processed.

On all occasions, Lenovo staff told me that there was no problems with my order and that my configuration had been sent to the factory for assembly. Today, my order got bumped back to October 9, which makes me nervous as I need it delivered on October 13 at the latest, in order for my friend to be able to bring it to me in Australia

As you can see, I have no fingerprint reader in my configuration. In all honesty, I can accept that it takes more than two weeks to complete a custom-to-order machine. However, for me it will be very bad if Lenovo misses the shipment target twice.

I'm trying to fight frustration now as last night they told me October 2nd, but when I checked the Web site just a few moments ago, they have the ship date as October 9th.

When I called sales the day I placed my order, they stated no problem on it being delivered within two weeks...

Hmm, I also ordered on 9/11 with the 9 cell, 3 gigs of ram and standard shipping. My order also got bumped from 9/25 to 10/9.

The X200s is finally up on Canada's website and it says shipping in 1-2 business days!!!

 

I'm in the same boat as those who are getting bumped, mine was ordered 11th Sept with an ETA 25th Sept, has now been changed to 9th Oct.
Only thing you can do is push to get a price match, as if you configure the same machines now with E-Code 'USEXSERIES' you can get 5% off.
Not happy we were not told of the delays earlier.
If you order now your ETA will be 10th Oct.........like what happend in the last 2 weeks???

 

Hrms....just got an email from my Sales rep advising the most up to date shipping date is 27th Sept. Saturday??
But the online order tracking still shows 9th October, are all these October ETA's just system generated?

 

Ordered on the 22nd of August, estimated ship date Oct 3rd. The ship date was changed from September 21st to the 26th and now to the 3rd of October. This is outrageous, I should not have to wait over a month for my laptop to be built and sent.

 

I ordered Sept 12th, and it still says Sept 30th as est. shipping date. Gonna e-mail my sales rep rightnah.

EDIT: Got reply from my sales rep, and she said the estimated shippingdate was the 27th (a Sunday..), but it still says 30th on the website. Lenovo should work on their order status site

 

Well, now that they changed my shipping date to 10/9, instead I just got an email stating that my order has shipped

I really hope it did ship today.

 

I too got an e-mail saying that all or parts of my order was shipped (and the pc is the only thing left on my order), but when entering the order status site it still says 9/30. Confusing!

 

This gets interesting.....
After my ETA being pushed back from 25th Sept to 9th October.
I talked to my Lenovo Sales rep yesterday, when I logged in to check my order this morning it is coming up as "Status: Shipped on 09/26/2008 ".
Looks like those 10/9 & 10/10 ETA were just system generated, fingers crossed

 

YEY, mine is shipped, for sure! The website is updates, saying it shipped today, the 26th! Awesommmme!

EDIT: And this was with the fingerprint reader and 9 cell battery.

Yesterday I was told that my order would ship on October 9. I got an email at 6:30 PM CST that my order has been shipped. I'm so glad.

AznRacerNSX, call and complain that other people are getting their orders before you. Make up info like two of your friends ordered the same configuration and stuff. If you get a good rep s/he will send a note to the warehouse to make your order priority. Worth a try.

Same here... order supposedly shipped late today... what has me curious the part list shows some weird things -- both the 5 in 1 media card reader (which I did order), and the 3 in 1 media card reader (which I didn't), 4 GB of RAM (which I ordered) plus another 2 GB of RAM (which I didn't).

Yiipeeee .... after reading your posts regarding shipped orders, I checked the lenovoorders-site and found that it now said shipped on September 26! One awesome X200 beginning the first step of its journey Down Under.

Yep, same with me. It went out today.

 

mine went out today, too. it was originally scheduled for sept. 24, then yesterday i got an email saying it was rescheduled for oct. 10.

i called them this morning and said this was not acceptable. they said they have had parts shortages, but they'd put me on "critical" or something like that.

then this evening the email that it has shipped.

anyone know how long it takes to arrive after it's been shipped?

 

i actually call every other day =) and e-mail a particular rep. I'm trying to get some compensation... but man... 4 weeks = =. My ram shipped but not the laptop... i been placed on critical.. like 10 times already? re-expedited a couple times..... this monday.. i'm going on a rampage.... but i guess i'll go phone shopping this weekend... to keep me occupied... stupid se k800 phone keeps corrupting itself.

I know how you feel man, I've been calling everyday just to get an update. Its been 5 weeks for me now. I called yesterday the 26th(estimated ship date) only to have my heartbroken saying its going to be shipped the third or even later. But now at 5:30am today I got an email saying something has been shipped. I hope its true.

 

I sent a pretty long e-mail to lenovo and the next day i received a shipment e-mail... i was SO EXCITED... and i got TWO E-mails.. so i figured one was for the ram and one was for the laptop... i called... HEARTBROKEN.. it was just a double e-mail.. and only the ram was shipped....

 

got the email saying shipped. I didn't order any other part, didn't check ship now (ship separately) for anything. Exactly 16 days ago I ordered it.

 

After a two week wait and a delay of another 10 days, I just canceled my order and bought a TopSeller from Provantage. It'll be here by mid week. The thought of getting another delay notice in 10 days is unbearable. Yeah, the config is slightly different and price is a touch higher but worth it knowing the system is on its way.

Lenovo sure seems like the Diva of laptop manufacturers. I guess having the lightest, most affordable, most durable, full speed CPU laptop on the market can give anyone feelings of grandeur.

So my call to Lenovo today told me that it shipped today. So, I ordered on the 15th of Sept, and it's apparently shipped today the 29th.

This is with 9-cell, finger reader.

 

After finally giving up on Lenovo, canceling my order and buying a TopSeller on Friday. . .Lenovo's website now says my X200 shipped on Saturday and is in Anchorage. I'm keeping fingers crossed that there are no customs issues.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by Newegg but this type of inconsistency is crazy for a multinational company today. Provantage CS was quick and easy to work with on the cancel, if anyone is looking for a TopSeller X200 give them a try.

well, I ordered mine this past saturday (9/27) and I have an expected ship date of 10/13. That's pretty much at about 2 weeks. I would like to have it sooner but that sounds reasonable if it ships then. Any suggestions from you guys to speed it up without causing any major problems - call in, etc.?? I'm going out of town the 14th and would really like it before.

 

Call in and ask nicely for it to be expedited.

On a side note... my laptop's finally shipped (September 28) =)

 

My config is the same as yours (in your sig) so they must have got a batch out for us...
