According to this: Panel Specification Compare - Panelook.com
Here are the differences:
1.1
eDP 1.3
5.6W max
Panel input current: 433mA max
Panel power consumption: 1.3W max
Issue date: 2013-2-8
1.2
eDP 1.1a
5.5W max
Panel input current: 400mA max
Panel power consumption: 1.2W max
Issue date: 2012-10-9
Everything else is the same. I'm sure the issue date doesn't mean much. Other than the possibility that something wasn't working right with the first one so they discontinued it and made changes to it so it would work better (explains eDP and max power usage).

Wow, definitely can see the improvement, thank you for sharing! Now if you don't mind me asking, have you done any gaming on it thusfar? If so, do you really feel the difference in the response time coming from the stock TN panel and is ghosting a problem at all? Thanks again for taking the time to post that. -
I ordered a screen from Laptop Screens, the LP156WF4(SP)(D1). This is one of the screens many discussed on this thread and others have gotten as well. Myself, just like some of the others on this thread have commented about light bleed due to pressure from the bezel on the corners on screen. I have looked at it closely, and unfortunately it seems that the way the Y50 bezel is designed, and the way the screen is designed, there will always be some pressure on the corners of the LP156WF4(SP)(D1) screen. How your screen reacts to the pressure may be different. I get a light greenish hue at select corners when the screen is displaying a black or dark image.
I reached out to @LSB about this (a Laptop Screen rep active on this thread). He has unfortunately not responded. Laptop Screens tech support offered to take back the screen, but will not issue a refund on shipping only on cost of screen. They also do not have B156HAN01.1 and B156HAN01.2 in stock so a switch (gratis) is not possible.
Something to keep in mind when picking screens! Otherwise, LP156WF4(SP)(D1) is a fantastic screen with amazing viewing angles. The white could be slightly whiter, the brightness is fantastic. I wish there was a color management profile for it I could use.pinback21 likes this. -

Would you minds posting the link where you bought it from?

I asked about 1.1 and was told none in stock. Hopefully you'll have some better luck. Still wanting to get a matte panel. -
I specifically stated to not send a compatible display which is why
they cancelled. So you're absolutely correct about them being out of stock.
Will probably go the ebay route instead.
@ThatAngryGnome I saw this seller has available, only thing is not sure if it's an IPS display. -
@SDhasher21 @Techman1982 .
I was just told by support they do not have any in stock. -
However I play single player games, I cant guarantee for a fast paced multiplayer performance. -
Just ordered this:
Wholesale Product Snapshot Product name is B156HAN01.1 Thin slim Laptop Screen IPS
The seller told me it is the exact model (B156HAN01.1), it is in stock and its glossy.
This is what i was looking for.heibk201, SwarmTroll and PickPock like this. -

Currently in contact with an Amazon reseller who has the B156HAN01.2 in stock. May go that route instead. -
The seller lists the brand name as AUO and LG. Seems strange; update on what you get though! -
15 6" 1920x1080 LED Screen for AU Optronics B156HAN01 1 LCD Laptop | eBay
I was told that while ordering just message them and ask to please specify the exact model you would like and if you would like matte or glossy. If they do not have what you specified they will refund you. The warehouse is also located in Texas and the panel will supposedly be delivered to NY by Tuesday which is awesome.Techman1982 likes this. -

Hi guys, I've been looking through this thread and I've decided to replace my screen.
I have a few question though which I hope you gus can help clarify.
I've seen the b156Han01.2 on laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk and they have them in stock. My question is the b156Han01.1 a better screen?
They also seem to have the b15han03.0 and the b156han03.2. What is the difference between these panels?
I can't seem to find any info on the displays and panelook is just so confusing to me. I have yet to get confirmation whether or not these screen are in stock.
Which screen would you guys recommend?
Thanks,
Edit: they are AUO screens. -

Just installed my B156HAN01.1. Works perfectly. Bought on ebay from lcdtech889. I can tell the difference versus the Chi Mei. Colors aren't too noticeably better (about 30% according to panellook), but the viewing angle are much better.

Hello everyone.
I'm gona buy the lenovo Y50-70, i5 version with non touch display.
Besides replacing the screen, can i add a touch screen? Does the motherboard even has a digitizer connector? -
-
I can change to a AUO B156HAN01.2 Matte as a nearby shop offers it, should I change to it? :/

-
This was on ebay through lcdtech889.
Can anybody help me confirm this? Is that the correct hardware id?
AIDA64 lists AUO11ED
HWiNFO64 lists B156HW01 V1 with Week: 0, Year: 2012 Manufacturer date -

This is the message I got from lcdtech889 on ebay:
We discussed this issue with AUO technician before. They told us this is the original B156HAN01.1 screen, but when computer read it, it will show B156HW01 V1 on it because this was the 2st HAN screen they made. They wrote wrong part number on it. The B156HAN01.1 is a slim type LED screen. The original B156HAN01.1 is thick screen like the picture we attached.
We have complained many time to AUO. They are not able to fix it because they don't make B156HAN01.1 screen anymore. The newer version is B156HAN01.2 ....
We know this is the original B156HAN01.1 screen, but it cannot show correct information on your computer. If you still cannot take it, we can issue the RMA to you for refund.
Thank you.

If you feel the quality is what it supposed to be it might be true. If you are concerned regarding trust issues, you can ping AUO yourself on this. It's kind of peculiar. Makes you wonder what batch lcdtech889 is selling from. I am willing to wait for LAPTOP SCREEN from $34.99, replacement LCD screens. Repair Tablet, Acer, Apple, iPhone, iPad, Samsung, Dell, HP Compaq, Toshiba, IBM Lenovo, Sony, Asus, Gateway. to have them in supply. I trust them, their warranty service is great, and they are active on this thread.

Found a place that sells the B156HAN01.2 locally. Going to probably pick one up tomorrow.

Another confirmation for AUO B156HAN0.12.

First i was a little bit afraid of Aliexpress, but it took only 3 days from Hong Kong to Germany. (DHL)
I can tell you, the Display is awesome and on a whole different level that the garbage that lenovo puts in.
It is indeed the exact model B156HAN01.1 and it is GLOSSY! It was very hard to find. Today i did the swap and here are my results:
Top is the old display, bottom is the new glossy B156HAN01.1

I ordered an LP156WF4(SP)(D1) from East Coast LCDs on Amazon but I'm a bit confused as to which screen I actually received from them. The invoice the panel came with correctly lists LP156WF4(SP)(D1), but Device Manager lists AUO30ED for the device ID (AIDA64 does too), AIDA64 lists B156HTN03.0 as the model, and HWiNFO64 lists B156HW03. I neglected to check what the sticker on the back of the panel lists.
Can anyone provide any insight as to what screen I actually received, or how I could go about getting these model numbers to match so I can be sure which screen I have? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled my Intel and Nvidia graphics drivers.
All the panel's pixels are pretty easily visible, too--especially with white backgrounds.Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -

As Shillywagon said, it seems to have a burn-in time, here's the updated pictures:
