Actually I did mean OneKey but both would actually do it. In OneKey recovery, I was able to change my startup name and some other setting I can't remember now that are harder to change (or I could not find) once you go through the process. PC Settings starts completely over.

Well I just ordered the Clementine I7 256GB 8G Y2P, so I'm officially back in the club! I could not find anything even close that I could like as much as I liked the yoga 2 pro when I had the silver model for a little while. I returned that one due to a QC issue(got it at BB). I went to BB today and fell in love again with this machine, once I saw that display and noticed how it blows away everything in the store! Even the 1920 x1080 FHD ones.

The Lenovo order page was down yesterday and to my dismay this morning, my orange l5 256 8G Y2P which I ordered last month has pushed back the ship date from 10/5 to 10/18 with a delivery of 10/25! I am going out of the country the day after Thanksgiving and need to use this for Power Point presentations! I am so frustrated because I was going to cancel the order and reorder the l7 for $100 more, but I think the delivery was in December. Anyway, it should arrive before I depart for the trip, but I am frustrated with the delay with the Yoga arriving so close to my departure.
Anyone else get their delivery date changed today? Is it because it is orange?

So I checked my order, and it says: Ship date 11/23 and est delivery date 12/3. Wow, ten days to deliver? Where is this thing coming from? I'm assuming China?

I received mine directly from Lenovo a week earlier than projected, for what it's worth. I think it helps if you have a Lenovo rep shepherding it through.

I have been trying to find a good stylus/digital pen that will work in tablet mode for replicating right/left clicks, and basically let me perform any tesk that I could with a standard two-button mouse. Does something like this exist that works with the Y2P?

So how do I get my device to stop throttling so badly when in any other mode than laptop? HD videos become almost unwatchable in tablet or stand, I have read that disabling DPTF in Bios fixes this, but I do not have any clue how to do it. Can anyone offer any help with this problem?
EDIT: Just got it to work, thanks for the help. I will report back if this also solves the problem for me, or if I notice any side effects.brodie4416 likes this. -

Has anyone tried a screen protector (glossy or anti-glare) that you like on your Y2P?
-
I wonder why people are more positive on this forum than the Lenovo forums?

Read comment by Mark, apparently he is the ugy from Lenovo. I think it will fix the issue which cause the energy management back to default (greenish yelow ) after sleep or shut down so you won't have to do it everytime. -
NFC is still more of an enthusiast's feature. I'm not really sure where it fits into a notebook, but here's what I use it for on my phone:
- Google Wallet - make payment by waving my phone across the pin pad at stores
- Pair with my audio system - I touch a spot on the wall and my phone re-routes all audio through the whole house system
- Put phone into office mode - I touch an NFC sticker on my desk and my phone's wifi, volume, and other settings are automatically set for office use
- Laundry timer - I touch an NFC sticker on my washer and it automatically starts a 55 minute reminder/alarm
- Bedtime routine - Touch an NFC sticker by my bed and it puts the phone in night mode (mutes the phone and changes a few other settings)
- Car mode - Touch an NFC sticker in the car and it changes all the settings to route audio through the car. Also turns on a tasker task that reads incoming texts aloud through the car's audio system.
So it's not really useful for a typical consumer. I suppose that if my yoga had NFC I'd put a sticker on my desk that would automate some settings. Or maybe make a script that unlocks the yoga if I touch my phone to it.ferrydust likes this. -

I've had the Yoga 2 for a few weeks now and am really liking it. I love the versatility. It is quite fast and has run what I've thrown at it well. Initially, I couldn't stand the small right shift key, but I've gotten used to it. Rolling back the Trackpad drivers as described before made the trackpad perfect.

Hey ultra yoga, a person suggested this for the screen flickering and it went away for me:
I had the same issue with the screen brightness/backlighting. The first thing I did was to make sure that the automatic brightness control that uses an ambient light sensor to adjust the brightness was turned off. I did this by going into the control panel on the desktop and selecting Power Options. It will display the different power modes and on the right is an option to "change plan settings." Click on that for the power mode that you are in and then click "change advanced power settings" at the bottom of the window. Scroll down and click "Display" and then "Enable adaptive brightness" and turn it off.
Doing that kept the display from changing due to the ambient light but the backlighting would still change by itself, especially when switching between light and dark images, which sounds like what might be happening to you. I found a fix for the Yoga 13 that seems to fix this problem. Right click on the desktop and select "intel graphics properties." Select the "on battery" tab and turn off "Display Power Saving Technology." It seems like this attempts to reduce power consumption by adjusting the backlighting depending on what's being displayed but I found it extremely irritating.ferrydust likes this. -
What do you guys think about making a "Y2P tips" so that we can all post the tweaks that we have instead of answering the same questions here on this thread? I think thatiit's turning into a monster as more people get their Yoga 2.

Is my Yoga 2 Pro Defective?
Bought it yesterday and for the most part everything is great. However, I just tried to plug in my headphones into the headphone/microphone jack and the music continues to play through the laptop speakers... I tried with another pair of headphones and same result. Please tell me this isn't a defective unit, and that I am just doing something wrong (I never had a microphone/headphone combo jack before this)
I also checked the drivers and everything is up to date as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. -
I think a battery test, once all of these fixes have been done, is in order.
If the yellow problem is a result of power management (as well as the flickering and backlight) then it's reasonable to expect that power usage may not be as good as originally suggested during normal usage. -

"Speakers
Realtek High Definition Audio"
Any other advice? -

EDIT: I just plugged them in and I see a message pop up saying they are connected. I don't see them in the menu I posted above, so if you watch the laptop as you plug them in and don't see a message I would guess they are not getting recognized. -

( sorry, this was in response to dustindw and bwlad.)
Hello, everyone.
I have used the official Lenovo silica gel screen protector on a Yoga 13. I am now using a Skinomi Techskin screen protector on a Yoga 2 Pro.
The Lenovo screen protector applies dry. It's very glossy-- glass-llike, in fact. I liked it, but while finger capacitive touch was fine, I had trouble with capacitive styli.
The Skinomi Techskin applies wet. I won't go into all the merits and drawbacks of this application method; suffice it to say that it was no more or less difficult than other such films that I've applied in the past (InvisibleSHIELD, BestkSkinsEver, and other Skinomi Techskins).
The Techskin took four or five days to cure to the point of total transparency. I imagine it takes longer than usual for microbubbles to dissipate due to the relatively large surface area of the film. Note that it was dried set and usable no more than 13 hours after application; it just looked a bit cloudy and speckled while the screen was off.
This is the smoothest wet-apply film that I have had. It's not absolutely glassy like the Lenovo silica gel protector is, but it is remarkably close. The surface texture is fine enough that I wouldn't even call it "orange peel."
Capacitive touch does not appear compromised at all, including styli. -

Don't know if anyone has the same experience, but the yoga 2 is a great gaming laptop, if your expectations are to compare it to an IOs or an Android tablet. It can run most games on steam at half HD (1280x720) on medium to low settings perfectly, which in my opinion is perfectly acceptable for the screen size. If you combine it with a wireless controller, like the Logitech f710, you have a wonderful gaming system on the go by setting in stand mode (you can have it in a table or in your lap and cross the controller behind the screen. The only thing is that you really need to modify the settings in the BIOS that reduces performance when in other modes (disable DPTF).
-
Anybody knows whats the difference in battery life time between i5 and i7 version. I know i5 is better but by how much?
-
And on another random note, my wireless was working fine when everyone else was complaining, but minutes ago my wireless wasn't working at all and so I updated the drivers (via USB) and it worked. Update your wireless drivers!!!!! -
Did anyone else with an expected ship date of today (11/06) notice their expected ship date is now 11/18? I've talked to customer support twice and all they can say is that they have a high volume of orders so there was a delay... A 12 day delay is pretty disappointing.

The Windows touch button is unaffected. -
Seriously? What resolution are you using? And what mode are you running with? Have you done the BIOS tweak?

This is an example running Bioshock Infinite, which is pretty recent, and it actually runs pretty good, and still looks amazing, specially compared to any android/ios game:
