build/ship wait time??

Got mine today too. It's just weird how people who ordered on the day of the launch actually got their laptops last. I heard they have my 4 cell back ordered and it's going to ship next week.

Does the confirmation of order e-mail mean they shipped it? There is no tracking #

 

Mmmm.. I need to call Lenovo tomorrow. I order through CPP on the 20th, and so far, no further email updates what-so-ever.. Is this the right number to call? 866-42-THINK?

 

I ordered on the 19th with no updates either.
And yes, that's the customer service number.

i ordered on the 21st no clue on shipping date, payment was only processed today and released to manufacturing department

 

Ordered on the 18th, still shows In Process. Est. date is Sept 1st.

 

I got my confirmation email that my order is being sent to the warehouse...I ordered an x200 on the 5th and I have had issues with them being slow about processing my order :\. So FINALLY it goes to be built.

 

Man you should call them and ask some free UPGRADE.

Hey everybody, I have a question.

A friend of mine wants to buy a thinkpad (actually he thogh that a HP dv5z would be a good machine that will last forever) but he need it fast, so online shopping is ou of the question. (Except if this laptops arrives before 9/5).

His mother will be in miami since 8/28 until 9/6, so I was thinking if somebody knew a reseller that could have a T61 at a good price (he only have 900$ including taxes) or there´s a way to get it faster. I told him to order online a T400, but his mother won't be returning to Miami in a year at least.

I just got my confirmation email today as well. I don't know how they are going to make it to the estimated shipping date on the web site. I tried to call Lenovo sales line to check the status, but their rep seems to not able to hear me, and it felt like they put me straight to the their voice recorder ("Hello How Can I help you today? Hello How Can I help you today? If you have further questions please call..blah blah...(phone click)".. I guess it is their way to cope with high volume of customer calls?

 

Called the 877-880-6819 number listed on my confirmation email and got a "non-working number" messaging. WWTTFF!!!!

 

I ordered my T400 on 8/25 and yesterday I got a call from the credit card company to confirm my purchases (I guess I've been buying a lof stuff on my CC). So I'm assuming that means the cc has already been charged for my laptop. Does this mean that it will soon be shipped? I don't think they would charge my cc without at least building it first. (order status says "in process" for fwis)

 

My T400 shipped some time last night. I ordered on the 12th. The interesting part is that the UPS site says it is express, I ordered ground, it should arrive tomorrow (!).

 

If it shipped express, and its actually comes tomorrow, it should arrive between 9 and 10am. =)

 

Express or World Ease / Expedited? The latter is what I got with the standard / free shipping. Takes about a week; mine shipped the evening of 8/21 and is currently Out for Delivery.

 

On my UPS thing it said

Product: WORLD EASE
Service: EXPRESS

I also ordered standard / free shipping. Could be they're sending everybody's out with the faster shipping

 

I ordered my T400 on August 5th. It's estimated shipping date is now September 9th. How are people with similar configs that ordered much later getting theirs shipped already?

It said "rescheduled delivery date: 08/28/2008", but now that field is gone. It would be awesome if it really were two days, and I wish y'all the same

"world ease" is UPS's bulk worldwide shipping plan. Lenovo basically loaded a UPS plane with laptops. This probably also expedites customs.

 

Anyone with a 9-cell battery that's already been shipped? I ordered on the 6th, and that would annoy me if someone ordered later.

 

Mine too has been delayed to September 9th. T500 with 9 Cell battery. =/

 

My status page is now delayed to 9/9 too. I got a 6-cell battery

 

I keep getting "rescheduled delivery date", but on my ups status it says that the notebook is out for delivery and its in New york (where i live). it was meant to come on the 25th, but everyday it gets rescheduled. Is anyone having this problem? is it normal?

 

Looks like the extended batteries are causing delays again.

My 4-cell is still slated for 9/2.

 

I called the other day, placed my order on the 20th of August and is scheduled to ship on Sept 10, with delivery taking 4-5 days.

This is a 6-cell T500 to Canada.

 

If a representative cannot hear you, what would you expect them to say? They are just trying to actually communicate with you, but of course they have some basic scripted lines.

Look on the website for your appropriate customer service number to call. I use. 866-968-4465 for the US.

Just another update.

I called Lenovo for the price match they promised. I gave them the quote number that I saved when the %25 off sale was happening, plus a CPP code. The representative said it looked kosher but seniors would be reviewing it in the next couple of days. I should be reimbursed $325.

I hope the CPP thing is kosher and there won't be any problems. If/when I get the money back, I'll spend it on the stuff I could not afford earlier, like a 9 cell battery for those long flights.

To all the folks who placed orders before me, and have shipping dates weeks away: That really sucks. I would have been really pissed in that situation.

Mine shipped last night. I ordered with the 4 cell. Some people who ordered later actually received their order earlier. It doesn't matter what batter they ordered. Anyway, I called a few days ago and was told that mine would ship on the week of Sept 2nd because of 4 cell batt back order situation. I am happy that they sent it earlier though.

my **** is not even in line for assembly yet, no estimate shipping date sales rep said he flagged my order for priority but that's about it.

dont you guys think lenovo is quite unorganised? firstly the typos that they make and secondly their shipment dates. They should be prepared to build loads of newly released notebooks (t400), with the amount of experiance they have (multinational company). They bring out too many coupons and change their prices too much in short spaces of time, this just frustrates the customer.

Ah yes, the old "priority" line. I hope you know the sales reps are just saying that because its protocol. I don't blame the sales people or yell at them when I checked the status on the phone because I know it's not their fault...but god...some of them are just impossible to understand (heavy accent)

 

I sure hope its gonna be shipped early September or else I'm just gonna cancel my order, cant be arsed to wait that long.
