    Yeah, except that bluetooth doesn't seem to work. I bought a wireless usb mouse instead. I have the same experience as TrueSilvo, heat is ok on the palm rest, but sometimes my little finger on my left hand tends to slide down to where the fan blows air... Not nice. Anyways, the inner temperatures never go above 60 so the air can't really be that hot.

    How does P310 with 9600m battery life compares to M1330 standard battery?

    Yes the keyboard in Poland is a US international.
    The website prono.com.pl is very professional.

    For the intelligent LG it doesn't works on X64 so you just have to install driver on your own, you can find them on lg website.

    I just have a little problem finding the last nvidia driver on x64, because the one on nvidia.com doesn't work for me

    hey there, from what i have read, you (empereurrom7) are french. me too. :p i'm considering buying a p310. from what i have read in the previous posts, there are two places i can get one (are there others?):
    * http://www.notebook.de
    * http://www.prono.com.pl
    the one they sell on the polish website costs about €1030 (not counting shipping costs) and the one on the german website whose price is closest to that costs €1150. the only difference between them is that the german one has a 250GB HD and 3GB of RAM whereas the polish one has a 320GB HD and 4GB of RAM.
    so i would order from the polish website too, since you said they are very professional and the keyboard is a US one (what about the one they sell on the german website?). however, i have not seen any info about warranty on it. maybe i have missed it because i can't read polish... or maybe they haven't included the info but you still get a warranty?

    @Transmogriff
    If there is no sound output for more than 10 seconds period, there will be a low and single short crackle when sound is generated again. Except that, I didn't find any audio quality issue. Btw, it works great with high impedance headphones.

    @NegatiVe
    Then, you are pretty unlucky. The 'Logitech V470 Bluetooth' mouse and some sony-ericsson mobile phones work pretty well with my p310 laptop.

    Hi guys/girls,
    I really dont feel like reading through all 76 pages so I was wondering if anyone could give me a brief synopsis on what the conclusion is on the P310. I am considering replacing my sony z with one as a less expensive alternative.
    I appreciate any comments.
    Cheers

    edit: and i ask this because i have very little experience or knowledge of LG notebooks in general but this one has very much piqued my interest. I just wnat to make sure it's not a mistake to purchase one.

    The notebook from Poland is better and cheaper than the one in Germany (camini) and you have to add 89€ to have a US keyboard, so you sould have the one in Germany for about 1239€. The shipping cost is approximatively the same in both country.

    For warranty is exactly the same because it's an international warranty.

    Thank you but they don't have drivers for notebook, it's for normal graphic card, isn't it ?
    Because in nvidia website they seems to be different.

    To be precise, LG offers 2 year warranty, out of which the first year is international. During the second year you have to send the laptop back to the country of purchase and service it there.

    I was very disappointed with that as well, as I wanted the best specs, but LG only introduced this one model in Poland.

    The conclusion is that this lappy is awesome :) Way better than the Sony Vaio Z, unless you aim for batterylife. This is the only area where Sony would be victorious.

    Just remember to hurry, contact the shop and ask if they still can get a hold off this lappy, as it is becoming scarce on the Polish market.

    The whole point of this website is that you take regular nvidia drivers and apply them to mobile graphics cards (by replacing the inf file of the installer.) You should try the newest version and check if it gives you any trouble. In my case it didn't.

    Ok graphic driver is ok, but I don't know for you but I just get 5.5 for the gaming graphics in windows rate. I thought that for a 9600GT I should I have 5.9.
    Which are your scores ?

    Than I try 3d mark06, and I have 5318.
    I installed the powermizer and I get 5379.
    DO you know how can I increase the score? because of you in the forum had about 5800.

    My score in Windows 7 was 5.1. You shouldn't worry about that at all. 5.9 is reserved to cards like GF9800 :D

    Regarding 3DMark, I did my tests on Windows XP with PowerMizer switched off and that's why it might be different. I got 5900 3DMarks in 1280x800.

    i said something about a cell battery but that was just a guess. one definitely should exist. from what i understand laptop batteries (in general) are not really that complicated, i think its fairly easy to replace cells so if your particularly ambitious you could try to mod one. im sure an electrical engineer could figure it out in a few hours

    For the batterie I can have 2h30 with wifi. and about 3h15 maybe a bit more with excel and word stuff.

    how soon does anyone think the price will get lower on notebook.de? is it still like a more expensive new item or will it always be that price?

    also, i dont understand about VAT, do you have to pay the german VAT if you have one of these shipped to the US from the german site?

    Yes they are. I emailed nordic LG and they provided me with their LG spareparts distributor. Talked to them to see if there existed a 9 cell (it doesn't) and what the price is of the 6 cell. (1295 SEK incl. VAT and shipping) Just check with your local LG department to get knowledge of who sells their components.

    Thanks again for the research Negative, that's great news! You're still happy with your 310, I hope? Have you by any chance tried watching HD video on it? Does the 9300 handle it ok? And does the chassis heat up during HD playback? Just wondering, heh.

    Can someone tell me if the Polish version of P310 has the lid the same as the german version (black) or with stripes like p300?
    Here are the differences:

    1. Polish version (source: chip.pl)

    [IMG]

    2. German Tarsia (source notebookjournal.de)

    [IMG]

    3. German Camini
    - actually, for camini, notebookjournal.de has the same pictures as for tarsia so i just presumed they look the same.

    Hi there,

    Not often I do feel inspired enough to post on NBR and certainly not on any LG-related toppic. The hype around the P310 plus the (dubious) fact that...
    ....the country I come from, made me doublecheck if the machine is worth considering buying. TBH, I still have my doubts - the uberpowerfull 13,3" has it's appeal, something which unfortunately doesn't make up for... the LG brand in my eyes. Will see on that. Maybe it'll grow on me... Those fanciful stripes on the lid would greatly help deciding in favour of buying. And no, not because I am a fan of stripes. I rather STRONGLY prefere them to the LG logo (yes, I ask myself why even considering buying a notebook from a company I have no appreciation for in the first place?? - if anyone want to throw me some viable reason, I promise, I'll give it a thorough consideration).

    Anyways, as I'm located in Poland and I'm seeing a lot of folks interested in importing it from that Prono.com.pl wholesaler (that's what it says in their site's header) and if they actually do wholesale, a quite obvious idea comes to my mind - why don't we organise some kind of a group-buy?? Presently I own an ASUS V1Jp. At the time, the machine was offered, there were efforts to organise group-buys, primarily on the ASUS subforums. Dunno if any of those deals actually came through, but... Nothing prevents me from calling PRONO.com.pl and asking that question. Plus I can speak french... Ya know who I am talking to now! ;P

    But for the time being I am unable to browse through their site. I keep getting: "[500] Internal Server Error". No luck so far... Anyway, post in the mean time on this forum if such a deal is of any interest to any1 here. If not, my consideration to buy one will die a natural death (still undecided...).

    If that's ^^ how it is, the whole concept of a group-buy may die before I manage to say: "I've decided to buy the LG P three hundred and ten" ;>.

    Take care,
    AdiQue

    I get you. They're by no means elegant; just as I wrote ^^ - fanciful. ;] But they do their job by actually distracting from the LG-logo itself!

    Besides, as I'm looking for any bits on the LG 310 as I write I think I would rather buy the Tarsia SKU - initially I was like "meh, the S.CPRAY is already more powerfull that anything 13,3isch, but when I realised that the stronger model preserves the P-series processor, I was kinda sold by it...

    So if TrueSilvo's revelations about LG having pulled from the polish market (or in the process of doing that) are correct and we're not to see the Tarsia model sold here... hey, I have a family in Bruehl, Germany! :D FTW! :cool:

    PS F***ing LOL!! I just realised that I have as many rep points as posts I wrote! How is that possible?

    The other day I was checking Allegro (a.k.a. polish eBay) to get a lid-size sticker to cover all the scratches before I'll have my current notebook sold to my uncle.

    If you're located in Europe, you may want to check this auction: http://www.allegro.pl/item573819710_naklejka_na_laptop_dowolna_grafika_prezent_48h.html

    In My Humble Opinion (and probalby everybody else's) Tarsia is by no means worth the premium. Especially for me since by buying a household-sold laptop (i.e. in Poland) I can arrange for the VAT to be deducted from my purchase.

    oh man this laptop sounds like a beauty
    unfortunately on the LG canada site the p310 only comes with 9300M GS
    =(
    I'd prefer WXGA+ over WXGA as well, although that's not a big deal.. but the lack of 9600M GT is sad
    Do you think it'll be available later on?

    Is it possible to replace the wifi card? I'd like to put in a card that is CommView for Wifi supported. I.e. that uses the atheros chipset. Please, can someone that has taken this beauty apart confirm it.

    I love my 9300M GS though it might be because my stationary has a FX 5200 ^^. The laptop runs farcry 2 at 30 fps easily. Moderate/high settings.

    They're confused. Just ask for the international English keyboard. This IS a US keyboard. What they don't have is a UK keyboard.

    1) There is no 9 cell according to LG Nordic Spare Parts provider.

    2) If you have the 9600GT you will probably be able to get around 3 hours 15 min with wifi + undervolting + wireless mouse using office. I hit past the 4 hour mark now and then. Keep in mind that if you use RMClock the cpu will be underclocked by ~100 MHz, not noticeable but some people care about every unit of processing power. I probably increased batterylife by 35 or so minutes with the undervolt. My CPU is just two steps from manufacturer lowest limit, 0,9500 V @ x8 multiplier, however, thanks to "power on demand" it is steadily underclocked to 1699 MHz @0,9250 V, when typing this I have an estimated 3:14 left at 76%, 3 hours flat is probably a closer estimation.

    I'm not sure what you mean? As far as I am concerned if it is in a US format, it's a US keyboard? :)

    Is the underclock you are referring to the thermal throttling? Mine gets throttled by about 100 mhz on Windows 7 but it is still clocked at full speed.

    Underclocking is different than thermal throttling. Undervolting is manually lowering the voltage so that it uses less power in each state. Thermal throttling is automatically lowering voltage and speed when temperatures reach a certain point so that the heat output is lowered.
