I like the wallpaper! It looks like around where I live (well, on the other side of our mountain range anyways...we drove through that area a couple days ago). But MySpace??? Ugh. :p

Looks like that launch bar is Avant Window Navigator - pretty cool tool for a nice and clean desktop.

I really miss that you can't really show off all that funny Compiz stuff with pictures ... there is nothing better than spinning that cube ;)

14.1" T61p using kdemod on arch. Have used Centos, fedora, redhat, ubuntu, and opensuse and must say arch is my favorite to date.

Here's my new setup, I moved the taskbar to the top right corner, where it overlaps any windows. I moved the close/maximize/minimize buttons to the left side of the title bar, allowing any maximized windows to only go under the taskbar where the title bar is usually blank. The KMenu/Trash/System Tray/Clock on the bottom right and the System Menu on the bottom left autohide, and appear when I move the mouse to those edges of the screen.

    info please!

what distro are you using? gnome - kde? what theme is that as well? I've been looking for a darker theme without being too dark - what you have there looks beautiful. Could you also provide a wallpaper link!!?

Ubuntu...the first thing I installed on my blank, OSless laptop. I bought it partly for that very purpose, though I'd always been a 64bit fanatic, which made things ugly after I switched to Gutsy (*cough* flash plugin *cough*). And there was one program I couldn't live without (FitDay) and I got tired of dual booting just for that so I switched.

Though supposedly things have changed with the LTS release so I'll install Ubuntu again on another partition. :)

you never know really, they are updating things all the time. At least I wouldn't notice because I trust the updater and don't trace every update to what it's doing :D

Linux for never ending tweaks ftw :D I used linux first in '99 off and on for a couple of years to about 01-02. Was it ever crash proned and quirky back then. Went linuxless for 5 years. Never again.
