    Yeah, deviantART is great. The only problem is that they might not have wallpapers made for laptop display resolutions, like 1280x800, 1440x900, 1680x1050, etc. That's what InterfaceLIFT is great for, but if you want something that's not too generic looking, deviantART is the place to go.

    I love InterfaceLIFT. I've got a wallpaper from there on my Ubuntu right now. I should post it sometime.

    Edit: I think I've seen those two wallpapers from InterfaceLIFT mentioned a bit earlier.

    Here's some of my recent shots:

    Darkbuntu w/ Light background - shadow shows off more on the dark, but I like the wallpaper better. Using a glass like top panel. Bottom panel is a solid color set slightly darker than the bottom of the glass panel set to about 80% transparent to make it appear that it is one large panel.
    Darkbuntu
    Using the Overglossed Emerald theme, and a combination of nuoveXT and LiNsta icons. Modified the "extras" folder icon in the LiNsta icon pack so that the orange folders would be the default folder icon within the nuoveXT icon pack. Bottom panel bar was included in some vista panel bar package at gnome-look. Top panel is just a solid color tinted gray with about 25% transparency. Copied over some of my Windows fonts.

    Thomas, nice job!

    EneergE, I really like the contrast in your Darkbuntu w/ Light background.

    You guys (all you Linux gents) are inspiring. One day I'm going to have to quit fooling with the distro hopping and actually try to learn to do something useful with Linux . . . like install a decent video card, get the cube up and going, and put up a good-looking desktop - important stuff. LOL

    Seriously, some of the stuff you guys post really looks great.

    [IMG]

    If you notice on the right, my swap is 0%. My Ubuntu somehow doesn't want to mount the swap. If I go to GPartEd from Administration and right click the swap partition, it'll always ask me to "swapon". How do I solve it?

    Looks nice. About your problem, you're supposed to turn swap on, that's why they came up with an easy name for it "swapon". If you turn swap on you'll use swap, if you do the opposite "swapoff" then it'll be off.

    @zephyrus
    open up /etc/fstab. then type "sudo blkid" in a terminal. check the uuid of your swap partition and if its not the same as in /etc/fstab, change the uuid of your swap partition to the one you see from blkid
