My panel is tint (not tint2). It's configured completely through a text file (~/.config/tint/tintrc) and accepts no command line arguments, much like pypanel.

Yes, the world needs more of Hayden.

Yep, if you put your mouse on the top edge (easiest to do over a separator), there should be an arrow allowing you to adjust the size.

    Also you can do Alt+F2 > gconf-editor > Apps > gnome-do > preferences > Docky > Utilities > DockPreferences and change some settings.

What kind of irritates me is that I want it not to auto-hide, but I want it behind maximized windows. Hmmm. :p

Here are a few screenshots of what I've worked up so far.

I'm not sure you can ... well, I'm sure there's *some* way. But it doesn't seem all that customizable. However, I think I'll stick with it for now. ;)

    Look, I'm a celebrity! :D

I've been meaning to try KDE. On a side note, is that wallpaper as pixelated as it looks, or is that just the screenshot image quality? I ask because a friend of mine has a ThinkPad and her default wallpaper looks pixelated.

Well, it uses the same icon the menu uses....I guess you could create a panel launcher with custom icon, the drag it to docky...going to try that now :)

EDIT: Just change the gnome menu icon, that will change the docky icon...the only one I didn't like was Vbox, but I renamed the old icon in usr/share/pixmaps and inserted a new hi res one with the original name....great now.

Would you mind showing us the .conkyrc :), I want to get email capabilities on my conky config.

While I haven't found a way to add some of the plugins AWN offers, I have found it to be more responsive and Gnome-Do is just awesome.

I like Docky better just because it's more reponsive....much like Rocket Dock or Object Dock...I still have AWN installed....AWN can look better, but Docky is plain great to work with.

It's 5 seperate conky configs running, so let me know if you want any of them. The email checker is for Gmail and is a simple perl script.

Thanks for the comments, glad you guys like. :)

It really does get better... I remember complaining that my brightness levels were off, and that flash videos in my browser would disable any other audio. Both of these problems have been solved, but then FLV files wouldn't play in any of my video players without freezing for a while. With the latest set of updates, this has been fixed. Stuff keeps getting better, and it's flexible and free!!!

Long live open source. To a GNU dawn!!! :D

One thing though... my foobar2k configuration in Windows is bad@$$. Blows Rythmbox out of the water, so I'll have to figure something sweet out with that, and then I need to figure out how to use Gnome Do more like Launchy, so I don't have to keep opening file browsers. ;)
