No. Mandriva has crappy package management. Fedora crashes for me.

I think I managed to fix the constant crashing......
    I don't think it could.
    Maybe, I haven't tried.

MEPIS (Debian based, uses Debian repos) is based in West (by-god) Virginia....AntiX is basically a rolling release with Mepis as a base and Fluxbox/IceWM as window managers.

Anticapitalista, the dev of AntiX, is located in Greece but is officially part of the MEPIS team. My GF is from Greece too...I can deal with that..... :D

Is that what you meant?

    Sick. Explenation?
I've seen something like this somewhat recently. Is it a bunch of CLI based apps running under some window manager? Like tmux?

I've been busy. That is, busily geeking it up. Suddenly vanilla LVM doesn't satisfy me anymore. I want LVM on dm-crypt with AES so I've been practicing creating, destroying, and resizing. :D Well, I've dropped Openbox in favor of compiz-fusion. It's become much more efficient since the last time I tried it, and I've tweaked the startup speed a bit by bypassing metacity completely.

The Expo plugin really rocks, doesn't it? If you didn't know already, if you turn off the reflection the destop thumbnails will extend to the edges of your screen (horizontally I mean - and I have no idea what would happen if you had a vertically oriented screen).

It is dwm but just look into tiling window managers. You don't need to use CLI programs, but I find them to be better than gtk apps in some cases.

I haven't been able to get SimplyMEPIS to boot into X (I'm sure the next release in November will, kernel 2.6.31rc, KDE 4.3), but AntiX will....also, AntiX uses Debian Testing repos and is a rolling release....AntiX does use the Mepis kernel but you can change that to a Sidux kernel by turning on the repo in Synaptic after installing it via script. AntiX base is very flexible to add any DE you want.

Arch: just may do that, but was trying to stay in Debian, that is until Slackware 13 comes out :)
