That is nice looking... so Calculate is their build/configure system eh... thus how it got its name? I had to look it up since it's so random sounding.
On a separate note have you tried KDE 4.4? If so, any first impressions? I'm pretty dyed in the wool when it comes to Debian and Gnome but I do like to check in on KDE every once in a while. -
I'm using KDE 4.4 with openSUSE 11.2 now. It seems pretty stable, and fast...I'm liking it. I left KDE from 3.5.10 to gnome until KDE4 matured a little. Have to say I'm happy I've come back to it, at this particular time
Yes, Calculate, however they got the name, seems very stable and quick...made a great impression on me unlike many others
I'm looking into it further, but haven't used a Gentoo based distro in ages....a learning curve there. They claim to be catering to the business use crowd, which is me ..

Yeah I noticed they were claiming SLES and RHEL as their competitors.. interesting. Gonna dig their site some more. -
that's exactly what caught my attention...I'm checking to see how they've been supporting it...looks pretty new but I've heard of it before.

nice, but simple Little ho..
like the darker colors!
-
I used to have it very messy... with photo slideshows of my gf and many widgets... then it came down to this... still very very messy:
And finally found what I wanted... stopped playing around with the widgets, moved the panel to the left as I had with W7 to better utilize the widescreen format, set it to autohide (the clock messes up when the panel is moved to the left or right so I had to add an independent widget on the desktop). I took the mouse over the panel to make it appear.
Now I like it, very clean, simple, practical =]

Nice dotHack...which distro is that? It's themed like mine i.e. glassified....
-
quite a desktop dothack..looks nice though!
which desklet/screenlet theme are u using for your weather?
glassified? do u have a new theme to show J?
-
Classy. Very much so.
-
same theme in Post 1980....glassified KDE4 theme...its frakkin' awesome...
-
ahh ok..haha..last one u had wasn't glassed..that's why i was asking..
yea u've been having fun with yer KDE4..
haha.
i'm still gnome! lolz
-
Thanks for the comments =D I really like the way it ended up and its quite functional for me, specially considering the fact that I'm kinda new to this OS (still have a few issues but I like solving them so at the end of the day its not frustrating =P)
And this is Kubuntu 9.10, with KDE SC 4.4 and glassified theme. I have yet to find a better icon pack, at the momento oxygen works super fine for me =D The only distros i've tried so far are ubuntu (a year ago) and Kubuntu (now).. -
dothack..you can always get new themes from kde-look.org if u haven't looked there already..as well as gnome-art.com..they don't have much there but some of its nice
-
You use KDE very well, it looks sexy. Efficient too.
Except for Taylor Swift!
Seriously, dude... Miranda Lambert or something. Audrey Hepburn would be the ultimate in classiness.
-
Sorry, I don't know celebrities. What was she doing standing on a wharf anyway?
-
Posing. Like the poser she is.
She pretends she's country, but I've heard her played back-to-back with rap on hip-hop stations. She's SO pop, and I wish they would stop contaminating country radio with this vile excrescence.
Sure, she can come up with catchy, albeit unoriginal, songs. Woo-jolly-hoo. She can't sing live, she's NOT country, and people need to just get over it.
Miranda Lambert, now there's a country singer. And of course Audrey Hepburn is the time-honored standard.

Crunchbang (Openbox) on my Acer AA1 (512MB RAM and 8GB SSD... and I'm dual booting with Kuki Linux (essentially Xubuntu 9.04)) -
look really nice Pott! love the smokey black wallpaper.
-
I agree....what version is CB on now?
-
Thanks. I'm still a noob but I'm having a lot of fun breaking Linux/fixing Linux
CB is based on Ubuntu 9.04 right now. In all honesty I guess it'd be possible to take the latest Xubuntu, add Openbox and have something rather similar if getting recent updates is a priority. But CB is just nicely put together. -
Whoa, nice lookin', Pott. Really clean.
-
Linux Mint 8 Helena. Custom theme. Pretty basic, Google Chrome, Banshee, black wallpaper(I find them to be least annoying).
