my memory is at 400 mhz, i've read once that i should get teh gx720 bios or someting to get it to 800 mhz. could anyone help me with getting it to 800 mhz?

Anyway yeah Fallout 3 is awesome, still haven't played Mothership Zeta yet cause I don't want to download it. Bought the other expansions and finished them, started another new game. Level 18 now, deathclaw gauntlet, stealth armor, fun stuff lol!

I won't get to play MW2 until I get back home in January, oh well it'll be worth the wait I think. I'm wanting to play some Final Fantasy 13 and God of War 3. They come out in February I believe.. !! Fun stuff!

Buying a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR.. ! Trying to get it shipped to Germany by February/March. Whoo! lol fun stuff.

Lol, I have an m16a3 with an M203 attachment Lenarasss. No I haven't killed anyone. Don't really plan too either. I'm a mechanic, I go out on missions to support the drivers in case something breaks down. I'd only use my weapon as a last resort since I have gun trucks covering me while I work.

This is my 3rd play through on Fallout 3, I've pretty much figured out how to build the characters and find everything, lol. I've had the deathclaw gauntlet since level 3 and the chinese stealth armor since level 6. The game is really easy with that combination!! I just got to the GNR plaza on this playthrough. My very first playthrough I wasn't doing the main quest I was just out exploring and I happened to run into the worst city ever; Old Olney. I had deathclaws raping me everytime I loaded my game since it autosaved at such a perfect moment. Ended up backing up a little bit and replaying about 30 minutes of game time, lol.

I've found like 12 bobbleheads right now, still got 8 more to go; Max sneak, max lockpick, max medicine, max unarmed and now I'm working on energy weapons/small guns. ! Kill Deathclaws in one hit w/ a Sneak Attack Critical! The only people I have problems with are Super Mutant Overlords and Super Mutant Behemoths!!

I think God of War 3 is going to be amazing. Also waiting to play Left for Dead 2 and Forza Motorsports 3!! Lots of stuff I've missed this past year, glad this computer has helped me keep up somewhat!! lol.

really now i play mw2 with 1920x1200 2x AA everything on EXTRA everything on ON including Scyn Frame WITHOUT lag!!! and max temps at 56 gpu but my hands are little cold
so final solution heat= lag!!!!
i love my graphics now..i can overclock full without heat

Slipped on the ice today (so p****d) had my machine on my back, no psyical damage to the machine, havent a chance to turn it on yet, really worried about the screen although no visible cracks either.

i cant believe that i have idle gpu temp at 30-32celcius and max temp at 65.. REALLY TEMP IS MAJOR PROBLEM!! i saw significant performance while playing game..i never imagine that i wont have lag with max graphics on MW2..coz i had LOT and i thought that the problem are core and memory speed..SO are NOT!!!
problem is HEAT!!i will say it again and again coz am very exited now )

...AND MY LAST printscreen... after 1-2 hours playing COD MW2 WITHOUT OVERCLOCK and settings at 1920x1200 4xAA EXTRA everything ON..that means...game exactly FULL

Fallout 3, and sometimes the game randomly lags, but usually thats due to something in the background working. I usually leave it for a minute and then it is fine.

 

I generally get no lag while I play FO3 (As fishslice said generally only lags during point lookout when the boat first comes by the docks) . I don't quite remember the resolution I play on but I know everything else is maxed out. I don't play on 1920x1200. I believe I play on 1600x1050. I generally don't care what resolution I play on as long as it's a smooth gaming experience.

Just hit level 20 now. Just finished the simulation crap (***SPOILER*** just ran str8 to the abandoned house n input the code ). Trying to get to the point of having to go into the vault behind Little Lamplight to fight some Overlords and to get my next bobblehead, lol.

So how is Dragon Age: Origins? My wife really wants i so I think I may pick it up for her Christmas present. Any comments on it?

 

Buy DA:O for the story and RPG aspects, not for the graphics. It's not ugly, but it's far from beautiful. The story and conversation options are amazing. The combat/gameplay... well it depends on your taste. If you loved KOTOR and NWN, you'll enjoy it. If you're looking for a fast-paced Oblivion/Diablo style stay away (or possibly just try it on easy). The game requires a lot of pausing to set up tactics. Overall, I am enjoying it, but it's not for everyone.

I think there is a difference between power saver/balanced/high performance with everything. Pretty sure it undervolts video card as well. I know this because temps (GPU temps) with high performance are about 5 degrees more than when its on power saver.

EDIT: @ Cata - Good luck with your lappy cata! That must have felt like poo hitting you in the face.

EDIT 2: @ Len - Unless you are using more than 4gb ram, there is no point whatsoever upgrading to 8gb, unless it is fater ram, but there is only 1% difference between our 800mhz ram and 1066hmz, unless you go up to DDR3, which has a different connection.

I believe you're supposed to get better results if you use the same size ram stick in each slot. EG: 2x2gb, 2x4gb. Something to do with the same data frequency. I'm trying to find the article I read but I just woke up and I'm about to go run 5 miles so I really don't have too much time to be looking. I don't see why you need to update though.. I'm still on vista 32 bit only using 3gb of ram and I rarely see a hint of lag in any of the games I play;

Farcry 2, Crysis, FO3, Juiced 2, Section 8, DOM 2, NFS Shift just to name a few.

I guess everyone wants to continue to push their machines to the limit. I'm just happy now with what I have and if I want/need faster then I will build a desktop later down the road.

The stupid game you play is 32bit .. It doesn't use all your F. Ram ! When play FO3or even crysis , they use thes than 60% of memory ... you play more than 10hours you don't want to see a performance issue ? C'mon dude get some common sense and give us a break !
