As it's a 5.1 , i think you will need to invest in an external sound card to power the whole thing as it's supposed to be .. did it worked before ? ET and his beer belly is playing tricks on you :D

@ratykat , the last time I contacted MSI they told me they don't supply spare parts.

Yes, Yes, Yes! What happens is when I try to increase the clocks and click "Apply", the clocks revert to default. Very annoying.

Was there not a way to oc through the registry?

Well I got msi afterburner to work, just had to do this simple fix:

    http://www.overclock.net/8075234-post1.html

edit: what's the difference between nvidia's AA and ati's AA? I notice that on some tittles/games that are "made" for nvidia, enabling aa with the ati 4850 kills performance. It's not really an issue though because AA is moot with 1920x1200.

Depends on the res with AA, the advent still tugs along any game with Nvidia written on the top and AA maxed :p

Modern warfare 2 even worked at 1080p with 4x AA without completely diying, and cant forget the steam games, they worked maxed at 1080p alot of the time too.

Doesn't it also have unlocked multipliers? I think one of them along with extreme series did.

So XTU could potentially work too..

Guys, has anyone else ran DPC latency tool on their machine? Im just curious to what people get, if anyones up for it?

don't know where you get the "leg" from. It's a tyranid (from Warhammer 40k) in a snowy forest environment. If you can't figure it out, the thing that extends form the arms is a biological gun.

I thought the space above and below was intentional. The spaces are even so it still looks very nice. I'm a dow fan, so I liked the tyranid more then the snake. It was well worth it, thanks for it ^^ (incase anybody didn't know, lamb made them).

    It's a gt628 (the 15" version of the 1722).

Apparently i've overclocked it to "2.66" (11%) and that's according to Everest .. In cpuz it's @ 2394.0 .. which CPU crap is reading it correctly ?

The default q9200 is 2.4, which is what cpuz is showing. I bet Everest doesn't detect the q9200 correctly.

It's because of the bios/firmware your using. Any MSI bios with the turbo feature will not let setfsb function. You will need to flash to a bios from the white barebone version, like 1.0S. Cata made a OC thread with all the dirty details.

That's because of the IDA, or the "dual-core" mode. Intel has this stupid feature that when all fours are not used, then the quad will disable two cores and increase the multiplier. You see, the q9200 normally has a multiplier of "9", but when IDA takes effect, it increases to "10". I had similar problems with the qx9300. However, cpuz should show this as well.
