I made a statement that hurts ? FYI 9.21 does not exist.
If that's the case , why you asked about my scores then ?
Everytime you got banned and come asking for bios , memory , temps ... how many times you have done that already ? Harassing me about all these .. even when helping you you started calling me selfish as IF i'm not helping you enough .. and how many times you got banned and came back asking the same crap again ?
All these are called harassment.
Sure , I'm the moron here , who kept asking stupid questions all the time. Be a man and talk , don't need to insult.
Unless you don't know what to say ... ask you friend.

anyone else get that MSI HQ email? Ive not posted for a while.. but what a fakin email.. IF that is MSIs view and not just the OP.. i wont buy from them again.......
-
Same here , if they carry on doing it ... i won't be buying their products.. that email nailed it.
Here's the email in question :
"The MSI-forum and MSI-support team are fed-up with explaining you what can be found in the manual.
I mean, come on, how hard is it to read a manual?
They are printed on paper so you see them.
We have been talking to MSI for a couple of years and came up with a solution.
It has been implemented on a few boards for some time and with big success.
It had various names, like CoreCenter (1st gathering tool) upto DrMOS (fully automatic)
Some of you noticed because Windows wanted you to install a driver, but you couldn't find the manufacturer.
On AMD systems this was called the Away-driver.
What you didn't know is this, this driver activates the RTFM-chip. (Re-Turn inFormation to Manufacturer chip)
It means it can detect if you read a manual as well stores the parameters you have set in the BIOS.
As soon as you start Windows we are informed about your settings and manual readings.
As we have been monitoring peoples behavior for some time and combined those with the RMA information from returned boards.
At the same time monitoring questions on the forum and matched the IP's.
We have made a discovery.
A lot of RMA is unneeded and unwanted, many happens due to user mistakes, numbers show that 90% of the RMA is OC people killing boards and
newbies connecting the wrong connectors or insert parts that should not be inserted.
Or simply forget to remove standoffs or CPU-power.
MSI plans on tackles those numbers, and the RTFM-chip will give a readout of what you have done when it did post or attempted to post!
Checking on you isn't new, Homeland-security done this ever you installed XP-SP3 or above, but their info in encrypted so useless to MSI.
So MSI decided to ban people from support, RMA and the forum who has done the damage themselves or didn't read the manual the first of next month.
We know who you are, and we have gathered enough information via our RTFM-chip.
The only question is, should MSI continue to do this? As some information is real bad.
Will this hurt your relation towards MSI products?
Please let us know, as we have to talk to MSI management the first of next month and make them decide what to do with the information." -
you think that message is genuine and believe the "RTFM chip" is a real thing they do ? come on think it through ............
-
May be not .. never heard of such thing before to be honest. Still worth a post
early april fool
-
rtfm is surely read the f***ing manual , an amuseing message all the same
-
my excuse is 9 pilsner urquell's
It's def caused a heated debate on msihq tho -
Yes.
Nothing appear.
This is a bad news?
-

-
You show be able to see the wear level and so on .. I presume you still have warranty left on your machine right ?
RMA is your best option before thinking of buying a new battery. -
I got the mail from MSI, very odd the way the whole things worded.
what the hell is that all about? -
it was an early april fool that upset a lot of people and they had to apologise hahahahaha
-
I recieved this 2 minutes ago:
-
Haha fantastic on their behalf, bloody brilliant,
At the same time alot of the info posted can be true, but they should have posted it directly in april to be honest, that way, they truley are the masters haha. -
Man I got this e-mail to JOKERZ
-
Guess who came to visit me today ! , video hardware error
been what ? 2+ weeks ?
Anyway , how's the 8gig Diesel ?
-
Man that sucks
All good the Corsair one definitely did the trick. It works at 800 FSB to. After all that I am genuinly happy, and managed to flog the other modules.
So watcha gonna do now ? Do you have to find a new video card then ? -
No more upgrades for you then ?
I'm not that bothered to be honest .. it's the 1st crash in a while , pretty sure it's a one off thing.
Been playing non stop since my last post and so far nothing .. -
Yeah I think Im done, this PC is a rockin. On another note just had my Western Digital External Hard Drive go funny on me with all my movie backups on it
.
Now trying to repair corrupt files etc etc
, use it with the WDTV device. Thought I would share my own bit of commiseration there.
-
I've been through that as well , my 1tb external let me down 3 times already ! full of movies and steam back ups & softwares .. Now i know how to deal with it instead of formatting
Did you set it up as "optimize for quick removal" or "optimize for performance" ?
Quick removal is the best option for external to prevent that kind of crap .. -
There's a trolling rehab on NBR !
Who knows , it might come on handy for people who needs to curb their trolling habit
http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=457196
To all the trolls out there , don't hesitate , it's FREE ! -
It seems to have cleaned it all up and repaired the damaged files Huge sigh of relief, hey have you checked out the new Tron Legacy Trailer its AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG !
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/tronlegacy/
I am going to try to setup Optimize for Quick Removal by the way as I am sure its when I quickly unplugged the USB that things went pete tong on me.

Man! Did that! Now my Sounds totally fuked up!
I got Vista 32bits.
Went to this page ( http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false) And downloaded 'Vista, Windows7 Driver(32bits) Driver only (Executable file)' (6th from top), restarted, and yeah totally fuked up!
Any help? Fast? -
Mine's working great , better than before i should say(7_64bit) , and i've always used the one from Realtek rather than MSI.
Did you uninstall your previous set before installing the new one ?
And use Driver Cleaner this time. -
Okay, I tried other Drivers, and now, trying the first of the page mentioned before it works great. Dnt see any improvement. How do I see the Equallizer? Any program at all?
-
Go to the Realtek's HD Audio Manager , sound effect tab , on the left of the green karaoke dude you will see a little square ... click on it.
I use it in conjunction with Dolby control center and my Logitech speakers .. sounds are great.
The EQ is an added bonus to tweak it to your liking. -
ahh, btw, cant find the audio manger, thats the prob
-
Control panel , hardware and sound , there you should see it.
Or
Right task bar. -
Where exactly?
-
-
So what can I do?
-
Only option is to reinstall it.
I know , painful process but it's the only way.
-
I have been having wireless problems recently with my laptop. I never installed the Atheros Wireless Drivers because I thought that was maybe for a different network card since I have the Intel 5100 AGN. Is there any tweaks I can do to stabilize my wireless? I have a super fast internet, but it randomly just stops on the speed test. Like dead stops. It does it periodically and I mainly notice it on Ventrilo when my ping spikes to 10,000 and goes back to normal. I would appreciate help from you computer literate people.
Thank you in advance.
P.S. I have been tampering with the settings of the network card in Device Manager so if anyone could give me their settings that work find for Wireless N, that may also help haha -
Hmm..
I'm planning to get a 5870.
Does anyone know if the heatsink for the 4850 in the GT725
is compatible with the HD5870?
Chassis and MXM is fine, i just need to know if the card's mounting brackets are the same....
Any help guys? -
Hmm sounds good merak, unfortunately we have no idea on the GX740 Internals,
Also curious as to where your getting the 5870 from?
MXM should be fine, power draw, not sure, should be ok, and as for the mounting bracked no idea atm. -
Are you serious ? How did you find out about the MXM type ? Is it really type 3 2.1 ?????
-
oops guys..
i was just planning on getting an 5870 mxm3.0b from eurocom.
i use gt740 chassis, so systemwise, the heatsink from GT725 is great,
but i dunno if it will be compatible with the actual mounting of the HD5870 brackets....
any ideas? -
! You gave me hope for a min
Sorry man , i have no idea. The most important thing is the MXM type , the rest you can mod
How much they selling it for ? Linky please. -
http://web.eurocom.com/ec/ecu_pricelist(1,0)
but then, they say shipping costs $59 to NC, USA
so I guess 5870 for about $500.
So the current GTS 250m has a 128-bit, mxm3.0a format.
How do you actually mod the heatsink? I would need heatpads to cool the memory modules, right?
Any ideas?? Do u happen to hav a link to assist on modding the heatsink? -
So that's 560$ .. might as well sell your current notebook and buy the Gx740 or the barebone equivalent (which is already on sale)
That's the thing , no one has done it .. i haven't even seen a 5870 yet.
As for the memory , If that reassures you , i don't use any pads on mine .. my temps seems to be lower without it and i can even set the clocks higher than when i had it on. -
Really? you don't need to put heatsinks on the memory modules on the GPU?
If that is the case, definitely yea, cuz i won't have to mod my current heatsink at all.
Well, the price is $452, and with $59 shipping so $511 total.
REEEAAALLLY torn apart between selling my laptop to get a GX740, or getting the VGA card.
But I do love this chassis, and it is so well cooled. I probably will stick with this chassis. -
Yeah , there's like a 1mm gap between the memory and the heatsink.
I'm planning on cutting the part that's in red (that's where the mem are) as it's pretty much useless and stick these on http://www.chilledpc.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=117&products_id=420
The blue part is where the die is , there's no pads there's just paste so it's kool.
I'm pretty sure the chassis is about the same , if not better. I think selling yours is the better option , like you said , it will save you the hassle of modding.
The Gx740 barebones is selling at $899 http://www.xoticpc.com/1727-barebones-laptop-p-2785.html?wconfigure=yes -
Automatikjack Notebook Evangelist
death, i had to remove the plastic spacers on the bottom side of my card, so it would make contact with my 4870, id imagine the same would give you the clearance you want, now everything makes naked contact, i dropped a bit of as5 on top of my ram, (prolly a bad idea in hindsight). but everything works nicely.
itll give you that 1mm you need.
As for current upgrades, im tempted to get the newly released 1tb 2.5mm hard drives from western digital, neweggs got em for like 188.00 tempting for internal storage... itd remove my need for an external. however... its a 12.5mm drive and i wonder if itll fit in my laptop. anyone have any clue short of measuring it myself? -
Careful, me and death wanted to do this and it turned out it was for servers haha.
-
Last time around i used some mx3 to fill the gap . Although it worked great , i decided to clean it up and go ahead with my initial plan (cutting the Heatsink)
I think it should work even nicer with the VGA Ram Sinks.
I use AC5 on there as it's electrically conductive , you never know.
I think 12.5 should fit as we got enough space , in height and even in lenght if you remove that metal support thingy.
Edit : yeah ! Regarding that other WD
They say it will fit lappie , pinch of salt ?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136545
TBH , i expected something like a 500-7200rpm or a 640-7200rpm from WD and not a 1TB. -
Hmm interesting, it might actually be real,
People are pointing out the height difference,
Our drive bays are actually really spacious in terms of height, but it really depends where the connector is,
I think someone should change the speakers in our machine
.
-
still having speaker issues ? (was it you)
-
Aye, top left and right just seem to top out sometimes, others there ok but i can't understand what the speakers are actually doing lol, granted one is ontop of the fan, its possible the sub is actually rattling the keys though
.
-
Well , it fell badly 2 times already (stop drinking
) .. might have broke some solders ?
Now it's a good time for dismemberment and don't forget pictures of the upper mobo for us
