Dont overclock your new GPU you tool, just use the old one! :p (If it still runs!)

That way you dont end up fragging another lol.

The thing is , I'm the only guy who don't care about those things.

Those errors i've been getting only happens when I
overclocked it , even by a tiny 5mhz.. So the best way to make sure is actually overclocking it.

Yeah but I knew by dismantling it will void the warranty , so can't complain.

My temps are too low for it to be related , we'll see in couple of days and the extra GPU will come in handy.

But yeah we will see, i look forward to any mad numbers you push :p

I need new ram before I can start going mental.. mine won't let me get past 3ghz.. apparently the ram doesn't like being OCed from 800mhz to 1000mhz

I still need to put the ES back in , well I will do so after making sure the card is good and everything is stable.

Right now there's a T8300 inside. Which I overclocked to 2.7 last time :p will try to push it some more before doing a fresh install of 7 ... I hate RMA ! Everytime you have to ship it with stupid vista in ......

Once you remove a component , warranty will be void on that particular hardware.

Unless you put it back in :p and its a legitamate piece, you are legally allowed to change your thermal paste without voiding warrenty, sooooo we can all pretend you didn't swap... "Much" out,

I mean the CPu will be void but you could RMA the GPU right?

Thats quite a nice clock speed for the t8300 :p I wouldn't mind a p7350 just to try that stuff haha, will take a look in my local "Cex" store again, but i'm planning on buying a fair amount of things, some decent speakers, more monitors, and some other junk lol,

Yeah but I did remove the GPU and all the crappy pads on and underneath the card :p

I was kinda surprised it went to 2.7 without crashing .. Will try 3ghz next time.
It's good to have a spare CPU , might buy one of those P7350 soon.

Cex sells CPU ? The one next to me only has HDD and some Mac stuff..

    More monitors ? You building a desktop ? :p

Question was about Targus 180W power adapter, and the answer is YES! It works flawlessly, right out of the box. One of the tips provided fits the MS-1722.

    I hope that helps. :)

    Kind regards,

You know I would really love to have this kind of setup, except that I would hardly use it, coz u really cant have some player swearing on top of their voice, especially when you have turned on full on a surround set.
Even If you dont have ppl in your house, neighbors would definitely get disturbed, especially since my gaming timings are so unique(12am-4am :p )

So I'll go along with death and get the headphones, Btw death let me know if you get them before.

And Cata you never told us, how you tweaked your system speakers.

Hi everyone. I just found out my notebook was too hot to play games. When idle, the cpu temp is about 66C...How do you guys solve things like this? Buy a cooling pad? Thanks.

Sounds like your cpu could do with re-pasting, a cooling pad probably won't be too effective unless you modify the bottom of the case so air can flow (e.g. by drilling lots of holes in it :p )

I wonder if you or death would actually think of putting any more heat into this laptop :p

Hell to the yeah! I prefer the extra 400Mhz of clock speed when running Cubase 5 and a myriad of virtual instruments. Still wana break 3.0Ghz though.. need some new ram.. and i'm not really sure which one to get

Yeh I like the idea of having such a high quality screen, but the slot loading drive would drive (no pun intended) me crazy! And I would probably get the 14inch one.. which has an Ati 5830.. do not want

And yes, i'm sure me and Dead can pack alot more heat into our 725s haha ;)

It drops the temps by a few degrees, but that may just be because the laptop is raised from the desc and has more space to breathe. It would be much more effective if there were lots of holes in the bottom of the case for air to flow through (like dead did  )

I modded my back cover in a similar way. It works wonders for the temperatures, my OCed QX9300@2786MHz@1,1V hardly reaches 73 degrees Celcius. Dust sucking is nothing to worry about. I clean the fan and radiators and vents every couple of months.
