Right click, run as admin could help with some read issues, but not suure.

The PLL is a very small chip, on my GT627 it's on the opposite side of the motherboard from the CPU. It's a square chip by the way.

@Dead2th3world, when I change my registers to 1A and press turbo my FSB goes to 276.6/276.7mhz.

I think 64-bit windows might be the reason setfsb can't read your registers ATimodder.

I have x64 Windows and it reads my registers fine.

How much of a hassle is it? SetFSB isn't so bad since I can just edit and test right from Windows but I'm not sure how to do the BIOS and what level of compatibility it has. I don't want to fry my BIOS chip and be left with a hunk of computer.

for anyone wondering, I finally applied that Diamond thermal paste to my graphics card and my temps have dropped considerably. What used to max out at 100c range, now goes up only to around 86C! I have not run the gputool to find the max, Which is how I broke 100c, but I will be posting a nice little review here in a bit when I collect all the information.

I knew this would happen after posting a screenie of my CPU clocks :D
You will still have to use setfsb but without the editing part. It is compatible and there's also a tool for safe flashing.

Until MH founds out why it doesn't work on our machine ;)
    That's not bad , paste instead of pads ? can't wait ;)

Does it work with the normal Q9000? I don't have the Extreme or anything.

And where can I find the BIOS? I've seen it mentioned but never actually linked.

    Which one ?

    There's one in Cata's thread

Odd, what could be altering the figures, it makes no sense, unless something directly from the bios is interfering, maybe state settings etc (Advent has a few, not sure about 725.)

Hm I was going to react to you using IE.. but 8 is such a vast improvement.
I use chrome sometimes as it loads super fast, although it does not like 64bit Windows 7.. it was using 2GB of ram the other day with 3 tabs open!! Memory leak

Have you seen this defrag program UltimateDefrag - The Defragger For Power Users - Home

You can choose to put files that you frequently use onto the outer edge of the hard drive to improve access times!

hey guys I've been messing with my digital audio again, and seem to be having some strange issues with the latest verson, 2.49... What version was it that had the equalizer and all the other settings? I'm uding 2.09 right now to try and get a little better functionality out of it....

This is really weird, especially seeing as how now i'm getting less out of my sub which is really weird. I'll continue playing with my sub to see if I can figure this out.

Sub on what the 725? make sure your in stereo configuration and if you have equaliser settings null them out (Remember anything you change in there impacts all speakers)

Also right click properties for speakers and check none of the dolby stuff is overdone,

When i get home i will get my versions and links for ya etc etc.

No, my surround sound system not the one in my computer, I came back and it doesn't seem to be pushing as much bass through as usual, not to mention I seem to have lost the ability to lock my output to just Dolby II, or even DTS for that matter and now I'm on standby in linear pcm with dolby kicking on here and there.

I don't remember the setting but I clearly remember being able to push all sors of good sound through my sub, whereas now its maybe up to 50% with some tinkering. Beforehand, the volume settings on the sub were low, especially the crossover, the bass boost was off on the amp, the crossover for the sub range wasn't on over 60%.

Hmm interesting that, mind you i think i've possibly had the same thing with my speakers at some point, they don't hit as low as they used to if i recall (Although my 6555 is still pushing through nicely.)

My driver version i think is 6 0 6083 and the codec is the ALC888S

Equaliser control, but other then that, same old same old mate.

Oh man, the bass i can get from some songs is just intense, only thing is i want to make a video but dont know what song to use or i will trigger the copyright infringement thingy.

Or midtones rather, we all know a 1" driver isn't capable of anything in the low end frequency haha, the midtones just mask this,

If your unsure, a fan/vent clean or a repaste may help a fair bit.

See that's the thing, I've been using two versions, the stock msi audio driver and the latest from realtek and neither have that illusive equalizer control deal, presets yes but no sliders for customizing my own preset. As well as not being able to lock Dolby ii in... There's gotta be a package on the realtek site that isn't just the driver suite. Like some sort of settings package...

Has anyone else been playing with hdmi lately? The quality seems so terrible compared to VGA on every tv I've used so far... Hdmi makes a really unstable image that's grainy and has that vastly flicker both on i/p resolutions. It's kinda sad that hdmi is getting Merced by a cable/standard that's insanely old... It makes me kinda wish I had dvi connectors on my laptop.
