    Tis true. The T9550 draws 35W, P9600 is 25W.

Peryln's nice :) but also the GPU in 725 is fantastic because you can overclock both GPU and CPU within the warrenty :D

So, how is it possible that this 17 incher weighs less than some 15 inch laptops? Is it well built?
How easy is it to carry it around?

Are there any UK/EU stores that are certified to replace the CPU?

Hey bro, whats up? Hmm for the weight, it feels hella light for its size. I feel like my 15.4 asus f4ka is heavier. Even with the battery on it, still feels light to me. For carrying it around, i dont know if you mean with a case or by itself but, its pretty carrieable for its size. Not like the gateway fx series. Now we are talking about humungous weight.

    HWMonitor is inaccurate.
It detects mine as GX720(Even dxdiag does).
    Everest Ultimate is best.

    @ zergslayer69

Thats not a release from DNA!

    For Win7-User:

The 9.5 Beta do not works @ Win7! I've tried it. No way, also not @ F8 (safe mode).

    but...

the DNA ATI 9.4 works perf. for Win7

    Please install the DNA 9.4 (Vista/Win7 x64).
The safe mode is not necessary but you must install it manually (*. inf)! Please follow this description.

I've tested it. Its working perfectly and the "ReadyDriverPlus" @ Win7 x64 is also not necessary!

    @ mjfrozenchips

    what happened?
    Which OS do you use?
Which ATI driver ver. do you want to install?
Any error message? If yes, what?

Asking again: Anyone know a UK/EU shop that's certified to replace the CPU?

Also, to the guys running Win7: Can you tell us your general experience using it on the laptop? Run into (m)any problems?

Spiral, anyone from the DSG (Dixons, Curry's and PCWorld) should be able to handle it, but you most likely will have to pay for hardware upgrading.

Chris, I really dont knoe happened, I just fired it up then tried to benchmark 3dmark06 with the 9.4 cat from ati. and 9.2 DNA. But before it was working great. So what I did, I uninstalled driver.. yadadada safe mode driver cleaner then reboot. I tried to install 9.4 DNA x32. Then it says , cannot find the INF... installation failed blahh blahh..... used drivercleaner thinking that i should start fromm9.2 DNA . then after after restart, after I see the windows logo, i get some error that it cannot find a file and your computer wont work properly.. its like im missing some windows file and somehow it got deleted.. bahhh so i was frustrated, I said the bull. RESTORED my computer since everything is on drive D: anyways.. After that coming from stock msi drivers and CCC. uninstalled from add/uninstall programs(express uninstall) reboot, then I opened up 9.4 DNA x32 and now im on it and it works wonders.. I got 9471 3dmark06 without OC'S and got 10571 with CPU stock turbo mode and 540/890 GPU.. definitely better ALOT ALOT better from 9.4 official ati and 9.2 DNA CCC.. killer sneak did a good job on this one.. SO all in all DNA 9.4 vista x32 bit is a good upgrade. atleast for me. Id show screenshots but im so sleepy right now.. just got everything back to normal from recovery. Ill report back tomorrow..

Anyway, Chris , can you access the fan control? like it says ? for mine I dont think so I dont see it on the CCC.

And 1 more thing, I did not even use driver cleaner on this one, But, it installed perfectly. When I used Driver Cleaner, it fucced me up..

Different screen (they tested the WXGA+ GT627, even the WSXGA+ version of that model is better) and different keyboard (no flex problems reported on the GT725). Build quality seems to be rather subjective, and you'll hear different from different people.

Build Quality of 725 is rather more sturdy, than 627.

I'm thinking of buying a GT725-210UK, from the reviews I've read it seems one of the best I can get for that price, I was just wondering will it run most games like DOW2 OK at native resolution (1920x1200)?
I really hate the blurry look when things are not at native resolution!

Specs of it are: ATI M98 (HD4850) 512MB
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000-2G
    4GB DDR2

Cant you write properly in English?
Our Country is not so bad after all!

And I already said that OC(OverClocking) via ATi CCC(Catalyst Control Center) is negative.

    GTA IV:
And yes I get 32FPS with all settings maxed.
The Graphic options automatically limit the settings.

Any gamer, real pure gamer would pick the 1680x1050 just because less stress for hd4850, it looks good and more jin and juice. When you have a higher res, the tendency is you gon have to lower res just for more fps and eye candies. Its really up to you. I wanna say more but my break is done. Just my 10cents. Gota go back to work.

The GT725-087UK might be a better choice then? Lower native res, same graphics card, processor is different though: Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo P9500?
If I can find anywhere with it in stock that is, out of stock everywhere I've looked!

I could get a GT725-210UK and plug it in to a monitor with a lower native resolution I suppose. But that sort of defeats the object of getting a laptop not a desktop. Wish I could find the GT725-087UK somewhere!

I believe the more strain you do to your comp, the hotter the ac will get. After playing world of warcraft on my macbook pro, the ac gets pretty darn hot.

    $1051 for QX9300.
    For another $200, you'll get a 218US.

hey Humphrey, i recently got the GT725 210UK, and it is awesome!

I can run Company of Heroes at 1920x1200 with everything set on high (except for Anti Aliasing) and it runs really smooth. The screen looks sooo good, and as for the quad core, i would recommend it as it is newer than the p9500, so offers more potential for future games that utilise multiple cores, and if i am not mistaken, it would be easier to upgrade in the future (or so someone had mentioned on a forum)

Blazin try running Crysis on native res and then post back, wud luv to see what a 2Ghz Quad can do.

I always recommend older high end than newer low end.
    Eg.8800 is better than 9600,
    E8400 is better than Q8200.
