i have a question why when i use mobility modder my, CCC Advanced looks like this?
![]()
its very frustrating I cant overclock the gpu and I cant see any stats or change performance settings or anything
-
-
also if i successfully updated to 9.8 drivers would device manager be saying this
-
loooooooooool ..top right there is a button. click it and then go to the last button which says ATI overdrive and ..voala!!
-
RELAX !!
.. The new CCC is same as before , it has the same functions and Sh!t .. just click on the top left and choose whatever you want to use
check the attachments -
wow i hate my life hahaha
thank you where do i get the crystalmark program to benchmark my comp -
i'm currently using 9.8 and it's working great
wanna try with the 9.8 ?
I think i will change mine before my copy of w7 arrives in the post
what's your idling temp and gaming ?
-
Try with 9.8? Yeah why not. Postem whenever you can. I'm going to wait till ATI release 9.8 before I download though.
I've never really gotten an idle temp. When I'm using excel and stuff, the temps were around (before thermal paste) 51/52, now they're around 49/50, and gaming was around 77/80, now they're around 76/77. A sligh improvement, and the thermal paste is only going to get better and better results as time goes on. Remember, you'll only see any difference in temps if you apply the correct amount of themal paste. -
lol you should start using ms paint more often
-
Was just playing Grid for a while there, no "display driver has stopped working and has recovered", on 9.7 drivers
-
51/52 ? I just finished cod5 when i was playing for 4 hours and now gpu is 56 and cpu 49 with aircontition on 24... 51/52 temps is when you use aircontition in your bedroom?
-
no 51/52 is when using Microsoft Excel.
-
Hey guys, I just found the best program. Serisously, it'll tell you everything about your computer. GPU BIOS version, literally everything possible. Its HERE. The download link is on the right.
-
-
wahs that sposed to mean
-
i'm using the official one, it's an early release from Ian McNaughton(d!ckhead)
that's decent coz mine usually idles at around 50-54
yeah
after using sniping tool i hightlighted it from there
after installing 9.8 and auto-tune , played for an hour and everything went on fine .. then i decided to go 550/900 again ... bad fcking move ! atikmcrap came back !
i've attached the INF , turn my gt into a lambo
-
Attached? I can't seem to see it up there anywhere
. Everyone wants the Lambo treatment
EDIT: Sorry, there they are!!! I'll get to work on them now, so don't go anywhere! -
Ok they're attached. Hope they work forya
Attached Files:

-
Kool i'll try em now
-
yeah let me know how it goes
-
means " P1ss myself laughing"
Made me laugh anyway....
-
installed nicely , played UT3 (540/890)for 30MINS!! without atikmcrap !!(touch fcking wood or something else!
) .. usually it crashes after 5-10mins .. gonna test it again
UPDATE : It's back !!!!!!

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
Nice overclock on it.
-
on what ?

dondadah88 Notebook Nobel Laureate
what are your stock clocks for your gpu????
-
500/850 .. max using overdrive is 550/900
-
when your saying 50-54 your speaking about GPU temp only??
same here.when you said 51/52 is temp of your gpu ??
thanks -
I've always been interested in the GT725 because it's much like my own laptop, but different. If you want to compare numbers, feel free to give me some to match up to, then you can finish the ati vs nvidia debate
Now from what I've observed already, the mobile RV770s and G92b cards are pretty close. The Ati cards have more shaders (equivalent to 160 vs 112/128), but the relatively low core clock diminishes their performance. G92 has been around for a while now, and as optimized as it is and with good driver support, they're doing just fine.
I've gotten as high as 6100 GPU score in vantage, I've gotten to 33 FPS with Crysis on DX10 High @1680, I've got benches in the NBD, and I've got loads of scores on my computer. My latest bench was last night with FC2 on Ultra, on my 1080p LCD, got 41-42 FPS. Anyway, you get the idea... compare! -
Don't forget to bear in mind that you have the qx9300 which you are running at nearly 1Ghz faster than some of us. Also, i believe the 4850 is more on par with the GTx260m
Blazin -
+1. I would love to benchmark against a 280m with a P8600... or have someone donate a QX9300 to me. We need someone to do the upgrade and benchmark. I know one person has combined the QX with a 4850, but I haven't seen anything other than 3dmark scores with it.
As for 3dmark Vantage GPU scores, which are the least processor dependent scores around, my 550/900 OC (max for stock BIOS) score is about 5900. -
The difference the QX9300 made from a P9600, for most gaming benchmarks, was insubstantial. 3dmark06 is obvious, but Crysis, Vantage, FC2, etc, not so much.
-
omg omg ..STOP.. benchmarks OCing 3dmark etc etc... :///// RELAX! sit back and enjoy your laptop as it is!! omg. if your laptop take more score on 3d mark so?? anw lol. running everyday 3dmark and these program to test again and again i am pretty sure the life of your laptop get lower everyday!

These GPUs love clocks more than anything else; not the number of processors
Running a 9500 on Turbo will make an improvement with them
I proved that with my M17, changing from the P8400 to an X9100 increased my pure GPU score in vantage by over 1000 points! A lot of the game benchmarks also responded very favourably to the clock rise. Yeah Im running crossfire which again is more cpu dependant, but the point still stands
-
We can hit 6000 in vantage easy for GPU, i can hit 9000 with GPU at 2.3 ghz.
-
Nvidia fanboys are invading ! you ladies got nothing else to do ?
-
Bah leave em, nvidias done nothing wrong hehe, but our GPUs easily stand up to nvidias latest, not to mention we havent flash overclocked with vantage yet, i may attempt it ^^
But then i have a weak gpu because i cant hit full OC clocks, I NEED TO SEE THE HEAT SINK PADS.
See if all the memory blocks are covered, im sure my errors are mem related. -

Thats what I mean, these cards respond well to juice. Unfortunately can't clock my GPUs yet
I've got a pure GPU score of 10k already though
I honestly think the MSI have a more suitable cooling solution though; the M17 uses a single double heatpipe design to cool both GPUs; which results in load temps in the 80s/90s. Two split heatpipes with seperate fans would have been far more effective. -
lol. OC'd benchmark results in his sig.
Lenarasss, it is very rare that you have anything constructive to say or a question to ask that cannot be answered with a google search or NBR forum search. You have been banned once and came back with one more s on your name. Please, just stop - think before you type. If I'm the only one annoyed I'll shut up, but come on... -
Because you're Xfired, you have a higher CPU dependency. But even the slowest core duos are enough for just one of these GPU's.
I have no bias for anything really, but it's been long in the tooth asking for some comparative benches and getting nothing
-
Alexrose1uk Music, Media, Game
Actually I got a similar effect even with crossfire disabled and so did my desktop 4870. They do still benefit from a faster GPU, even if not to the same extent, I know crossfire increases this effect. The 9.7 drivers release notes even mention an attempt to reduce CPU dependency
-
When I took the GPU heatsink off to replace the thermal paste, all of the RAM chips were covered by the stock thermal paste, so you should check yours if you think that they're not. Thats a good idea.
-
I second this ^^. Usually I try and be as patient as possible, but yes, please think before you type.
EDIT: 400th PAGE!!! -

You participated in the previous attempt to collect gaming benchmarks ( http://optimitza.cat/benchmarks/laptops), right? Anyway, Cat and I are on there representing the 4850, but we have no GTX 260m's and a lot of people didn't follow the benches exactly, using the full game instead of the demo. Anyway, from those 4 game benches, you get two conclusions.
For Crysis and DMC4 the 4850 is definitely better than a 9800m GTS, but not equal to a 280m
For WIC and X3, the 4850 is about equal to (actually a little higher than) the GTX 280m.
Now, since so many games now are "The Way It's Meant to be Played", I fully give the crown to the 280m, but I really wish we had some more 260m benchmarks. There are none at NBD or on the optimitza collection. Also, they should be run at stock Asus clocks as well as Sager clocks.
I ran the RE5 benchmark and was about 10% shy of Kevin_jack's very overclocked 260m. (in the RE5 demo thread).
About CPU affecting gaming scores, the difference between 2.4 GHz and 2.88 GHz made a .7 fps difference in Crysis at 1680x1050 w/ no AA
A quad at 2.0 gave a very similar score as my duo at 2.88. I would expect you QX to make about a 10% difference in fps (~3 fps at high settings and native res). My issue is that I don't own any of the big benchmark games, because, well, I don't like them. You couldn't pay me to play DMC4, so there's no way I'm going to buy it. I'm tempted to buy Crysis Maximum, but would not really enjoy playing it... I'd just get it to bencmark. I'm not sure if the demo benchmark will give the same results. -
Ill update my tutorial to include 9.8 now...
-
Toms Hardware says that the only thing holding the 4850 from overthrowing the GTX 280m is the 512mb on the 4850 in the MSI GT725, it's just not enough but what about the MSI GT729 - it's going to have 1GB. I think things are going to be different once the MSI GT729 ever comes out (pushed back to September now in the US), then we will see where the 4850 1GB version has in regards to benchmarks. I think we are all going to be pleasantly surprised...
-
I've seen pics of people with the 9.8 CCC. When I try to install it, it says its installed, but it doesn't copy any files over the the default directory (C:\ATI Technologies) Help?
-
Oh, well now that I'm a pro at this.....
This doesn't seem like a lambo post....did lennangrass steal your info? Anyway, the mobility modder is so much easier. i did what you once said. ATI Uninstall, driver cleaner, unpack new package, cancel after unpack, modify file in C:ATI/support folder and run exe. -
Do you guys make use of the express card? If so what are you doing with it?
-
Anyone know what the differences are between the GT725 and the new GT729?
Other than DDR3 RAM and a 1GB 4850? -
One word post: Nothing.
I don't like using the mobility modder, for some reason; same as I don't like steak.
