I really don't know....yet. The fan measures overall 8 3/4" across; 8" fan blade tip to fan blade tip with 11 fan blades. Puts out a lot of air and is very quiet.

Does anyone else have any issues with Windows 7? I tried downloading the new drivers off MSI's site, but now I seem to be getting a few errors. At boot, there's some text that is hard to read, but I think it is basically saying can't find certain drivers, but it moves on and boots like it never happened.

I think the audio drivers are not working correctly though, cause the sound is very hollow as opposed to having the custom equalized sound I had before.

I don't get the graphics when pushing the buttons anymore, like the Turbo, Bluetooth, wifi, etc etc. I can't use the button to put the computer in it's different modes, either!(movie, entertainment, turbo battery etc).

Is there any way I can narrow down the problem and get it fixed? It's a pain to get a new operating system, only to fall into problems with driivers and things not working how they should....

for the turbo and Sh!t you need "system control manager" , as for the rest it should work fine as i'm using w7 pro and all necessary drivers from msi (including the one for ati) .
what i got installed are : intel chipset , cir , scm , imsm , vga , intel wlan , o2 , realtek lan and bluetooth

    - to get dolby control panel to work you need to install it first then the audio from msi

Thanks this should help some of my issues. I don't even have dolby control panel anymore, I'll have to grab that again. Realtek is the audio driver, correct? So going by what you said I need to grab dolby first, then reinstall the win7 audio drivers. Is it okay just to reinstall or do I have to uninstall them first?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

edit: discovered the audio drivers, not realtek! :)

I'm 100% win7 64-bit now. All win7 drivers from the MSI website installed with no problems and I have no errors so far. ATI 9.10 installed using Mobility Modder.

I also installed 9.10 using mobility modder, but don't think I was successful. Still says my driver is 8.6 in device manager.

go to 'information centre' in the Catalyst Control Centre, then it will probably have 'Driver Packaging Version' as 8.6, but 'Catalyst Version' should be something like 09.10.

People can and people cant, simple as, all GPU are different (by that tiny amount) and can knock overclocks off etc, prehaps its voltage? I did once know a 4850 flasher but now the website he used to be on is down, and he had his clocks at 625/1125.

No GPUs differ and 4850 had gddr3 with the clocks, nothing is the same, some overclock better then others etc etc, theres all sorts of factors.

I know this was posted elsewhere, but anyway the ATI Modder you're looking for can be found at DriverHeaven http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php

Remember, as with any mod, use at your own risk! (your milage may vary) ;)

Thats strange! Are you sure you downloaded the correct driver?

I am using 9.8 drivers, and it says 09.8.. so I would have assumed other versions would follow the same trend.

@ len, I leave my GPU clocks stock. Except for once in the Stalker Clear Skies benchmark, where I maxed the clocks, and got no error.

Wiping HDD of course. I reformat about once a month anyway, so its no biggi for me. Thanks for the feedback too, appreciate it.

Probably decrease the clocks and get rid of anti-aliasing mate. Thats what I would do, but if you're freezing up heaps, and pulling Xfire like temps, then change back to the stock clocks. But in the end its up to you mate.

I get the same slight freezing problem, infact quite a lag on some of the city tracks. Some tracks are fine and don't slow at all. I should think it's more likely a graphics rendering problem, texture filtering, shadows, especially on the city maps, I notice a big frame rate drop nearly half that of some scenes, which makes me think the game is not as well optimised as it should be, but less likely the GT725. The laptop is well configred and should run a mass market game like this no problem

May be worth just looking out for updates of the software.
