Are you buying the laptop just for gaming? I went through this same situation also. If you watch movies/shows & play games then MSI GT780DX is beast. The speakers in Sager are no way near as good as the MSI.
I can play any game at high settings on 570m & laptop stays very cool. Why change this awesome laptop for a little better GPU card & give up all other features?

If MSI market in turkey is weak then probably they are not interested in making a turkish keyboard or even arabic or romanian or polish.
Asus and HP has some history in notebook market all over the world and they are more flexible in such regions.
I think that bigger earns will make their offer wider.
Take in mind that the most commercial brands which you may find even in carefour or tesco or similar places are not gaming notebooks.
Gaming notebooks such as GT780 or GT683 are made for gaming and not for writing and maybe that's why you won't find a customized one with the related keyboard.
You always have as an option the posibility to ask MSI to send you a customized keyboard (eventually you will end up making one by yourself).
This is only my opinion. -
All other MSI models have Turkish keyboard. This does not include only and I think it is just because unique design of steelseries. I already asked to MSI Turkey if they will have Turkish steelseries keyboard and waiting for an answer. -
Let's hope they will provide one soon
I wonder if there is a posibility to stick some customized letters on some of the keys.
That would be an option.
I rememer 11 years ago when for the first time I got my first notebook which was an IBM Think Pad I-Series, that came with a sticker for the € letter. You may call this a "customer care".
-
I can't believe you guys have been discussing Turkish Keyboard issues from the last 5 pages. Amazing. I love my English keyboard.
-
No, we don't) just a couple of messages at last 4-5 pages -
Any one know where I can get a key board in Klingon? How come MSI doesn't make one in Klingon? What does MSI have against us?!
-
... The keyboard letters are an option. And options are welcome

So, I just got in my HDMI to DVI cable and I must say it works flawlessly! I don't have a HDMI input on my monitor, in case you are wondering why I got HDMI to DVI. Anyways, before I was using a typical VGA cable, but saw subtle lines during gaming. I knew it was either from the monitor or cable because I don't get the same lines on the notebook screen. I hooked up the HDMI to DVI cable, and not only are the lines gone, but desktop looks better too. Also, my webpages load a lot quicker, which I didn't know made a difference going from analog to digital. So if anyone is thinking about using the HDMI output, you'll know it works great!

I just received an email from MSI apologizing for the mistake. My warranty has been changed from 2 years to 3 years. -

review of gt780dxr barebone version. Noise levels are simply disappointing for me. msi GT780R is fairly more silent than this one... or not? Review MSI GT780R Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews -
Point - who knows when i get the laptop. For sure, though, its going to be over 30 days. And i dont know what to do now. -

"As usual for gaming laptops, it generates such a loud noise that it easily drowns quiet game scenes in load. The Fragbook even almost cracked the 50 dB (A) mark in full load operation. Moreover, our test sample emitted an annoying humming noise during load. According to Deviltech, this problem has been eliminated in the meantime and should no longer turn up in the final production models.
By the way, we wouldn't recommend using the fan control (above the keyboard) because the fan also runs perfectly without increasing its speed. Nevertheless, this feature could be interesting for overclockers."
Even on the normal mode I don't see the noise being such an issue. The Turbo fan control they are recommending not use ....is one of the best features of this laptop. ... Don't make your decision on one review who used the laptop for 2 days. -
I finally got everything installed.
Problem was the Bios setting for the SATA needed to be IDE after I removed the RAID configuration... DUH!!! -
I agree with Singh. They kind of contradicted themselves there it seems like. I don't have any tool to measure my notebook's noise levels, but even if it does get to 50dB that's comparable to a large transformer at 100ft....not that loud. I've never had a problem with noise levels... -

Generally, the higher ended the GPU, the higher the wattage, the more heat, the higher the fan noise under load. The GT780 is quiet compared to many gaming notebooks I've experienced, and I can't begin to tell the high-end Sager/Alienhead/Clevo owners who wished their fans were more quiet..... or report their notebooks are not 'hotspot' friendly in a public setting.

Just a quick thought, what kind of settings would you think Skyrim would run at on a GT780DX?
The model I'm buying has:
i7 2630QM 2.0-2.9GHz
8GB RAM
nVidia GTX 570m 1.5GB VRAM
750GB 7200rpm HDD -

I tried AHCI and RAID and Windows would never completely load. It would stop at some percentage and give a generic windows file extraction error.
Flipped it to IDE, and it worked fine.
In fact, after I loaded Windows, loaded all the service packs, and such, I tried loading the Intel Raid driver or whatever the heck it's called. And it fails every time.
I also tried reloading and changing the BIOS back (from IDE to AHCI or RAID) and both choices will show the "Loading Windows" Black page with the four colors converging once and then a quick blue-screen and straight to a reload.
So I'm stuck on IDE I guess.
My question is, IDE is just a convention, right?
I'm still using SATA III and can still get 600MB/s out of the controller even if it's set on IDE? Does anyone know? -

Geez, I've lost track at what you were doing..... sorry, tired..... prior to attempting a fresh WIN 7 install, did you go into the Intel RAID utility, deleting the RAID set, making both drives non-RAID?
Were you installing an SSD, or just doing a fresh non-RAID OS install?
-
-
-=$tR|k3r=- Notebook Virtuoso
Ken, earlier I gave him the link for WIN 7 w/SP1.
-
BUT, then again. If i miss this 30 days period, can i contact MSi for instance, and ask them if they accept my warranty? -
Remove RAID from both drives. In the Raid controller both drives say: Non-Raid.
Then I tried installing Windows 7 from DVD, then USB, then USB, then DVD. All failed. I did some lookups for the error number. It seems it's a generic access issue from Windows. So I reset the Bios and tried again. I also changed it to AHCI, and tried again. And it failed again (although it might be my USB). I changed the BIOS to IDE, and used the DVD and it worked the first time through.
Now, the Sata interface is changed to IDE. I change it to either option and it immediately blue screens, and it reboots so fast that I can't read the blue screen condition.
In the future (probably December), I will purchase a SSD drive with higher access rates (hopefully above 500MB/s). In this case I will go through another install, but I'll attempt to change it then.
So what everyone is saying is AHCI or bust?
I assume IDE is lame. What about the Raid controller? -

To those of you who think the matte screen is a bad idea, wait till you watch a blu-ray on it. Gorgeous. I had a HD super glossy screen on my last laptop and I much rather prefer this matte screen.
-
I haven't seen anyone complain about the Matte screen...yet. I got the glossy and I'm glad I did. The HD looks better imo. Looks like we're opposites, lol.

Well, thanks to this thread, I decided to reinstall windows with AHCI.
I noticed someone's Window's Rating for the drive system was a lot better than mine, so I wanted to change to AHCI.
So I went through the steps again. This time I tried the USB again, without drivers.
Rather than risk I, I used the DVD method again, loaded drivers from a USB, and it worked fine.
Let me clarify:
YOU HAVE TO LOAD DRIVERS FROM ANOTHER SOURCE.
You can't just load windows because it doesn't work if it's a generic Windows build.
The most important drivers (to make it work) are the Intel 6 Series drivers under the WIN7 folder.
When installing Windows 7, choose to Load a Driver on the partition screen.
Keep the check box checked for "Only show drivers for supported hardware".
Then choose the top 6, and bottom 3 (skip the two inbetween) to load as drivers. Then all worked fine. Now I have AHCI in BIOS and Windows 7 loading fine!
Thanks again guys! -

When you see the msi splash screen (msi logo)press the delete key and you will enter the bios. Go to the boot tab and select your options. DVD first, boot drive or raid array second. -
Yay, my laptop finally got shipped so it should arrive this week on friday or next week, i'm totally happy now
However, i got a question , since i decided to import, how do i register for the lifetime support? Whe i try to select country on the swedish registry page it sends me to the US page where i can only select USA or Canada. Any ideas? -
Why cannot i view page 344 ?
-
WHATS WRONG ! I cant view the page 344.. It seem the reply is there, you might see it but WHEN I CLICK 344 IT REDIRECTS ME BACK TO 343...
Could anyone PM me whats wrong ? Cache ? Virus ( probably not... ) ? Or whats ? -
Hey everyone. I have the barebone of this computer, but I was wondering if anyone was able to get the full 1600MHz out of their Hyper-X or other RAM that supports it. I understand why it gets underclocked to 1333, but I want to be able to run it at 1600. Any ideas?
I have ADATA 1600 MHz RAM with intel XMP support. -
If you have i7-2630QM or below then you are stocked to 1333MHz. Everything above should run at 1600MHz with your RAM. -
I wish 2670QM would let us run at 1600MHz...
-
I have a i7-2760qm (ES) which intel states as supporting up to 1600MHz RAM. So any ideas?

Thx for the fast response, i've removed the original disk, was a raid 0 setup from scratch 2x750gb , Keept one of the 750gb disk for misc, games etc and bought a corsair force 3 60gb disk as boot disk with win 7, the system have been working great for the last 2 months, had to update the firmware on the SSD a couple of weeks ago but again everything have been working great since, this error just appeared after a normal reboot.
The reseller is here in Sweden , "A company called NetOnNet" and the swedish repair is handled by infocare
As i checked the disk earlier i noticed there's no battery visible on the motherboard or jumper for that matter, is it under the keyboard or where's it located?
Thx in advance / Rickmark and sry for the bad english -
