The 120Hz panel is available for purchase.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/B156HTN05-2...673461?hash=item2cb6eef075:g:b9AAAOSwo4pYSJVi Get them while they're hot! Looks like 8 have already been sold.

The eBay guy has updated his listing and it is listed as EXACT Part Number now! The panel itself is glorious and amazing. I have the 120Hz panel installed in my F5 and the difference now is night and day!

The 400nit brightness is crazy good and the 120Hz is super fast and responsive. There is no ghosting or any other issues I've noticed. Yes the colors are a bit more washy looking compared to the IPS panel, but IMO it's actually a very good since it's 8bit TN. It reminds me of my desktop 1440p 144Hz G-Sync TN. The viewing angles are great as well!

G-Sync isn't enabled yet via Eurocom BIOS, but I'm told this will be enabled soon since the panel is G-Sync certified. Additionally brightness controls are a no go at the moment as well. This will also be updated and made to work soon from what I'm told.

Yes you can decrease the brightness with the NV control panel but that isn't the same as using an actual brightness control.

In order to run the program from a different directory, you would need to use its full path, i.e:
    Code:
    C:\BIOS\FLASH.BAT
You may want to google an ms-dos tutorial to gain some familiarity with the interface, in case you have to recover from a bad flash or something.

    Quoting here:

    Here are the instructions

Save the attached file, and rename it from .zif to .zip

Please download Rufus and use it to make a bootable USB drive: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

After that is created make a folder on the usb drive named bios and extract the .zip file to it.

Make sure you disable UEFI in BIOS before flashing. <--------------------------------ENABLED LEGACY MODE------------------------------>

    To Flash the Bios

    1. Make sure AC Adapter is plugged in.

    2. Press F7 for the boot menu, boot from usb drive <------------Might be F11 MSI is different then everyone else, they're "Spechul!"

    3. Change directory to bios (CD bios) <-----------------Oh nice Eurocom made a batch file to do all the work for you ? If this doesn't work, ask SVET on the MSI forums, it might cost you abit for his time, but you can get the expert himself to help, ask him to make a post for all of us, for regular bioses. I think it's a two stage bios flash when modding though

    4. Run flash.bat in DOS mode, and it will auto restart.

    5. Replug AC Adapter one times, make sure you re-enable RAID / UEFI if required

Looking at your screenshots of the terminal:

Tthe "dir" command only lists the contents of the directory you typed in, it doesn't change the directory your terminal is in.

You want to use the "cd' command to change directories.

I would heed the warnings of @ win32asmguy as you are going through a risky process and clearly not very experienced.

NOTE: I've kind of just jumped into this conversation so I don't have total context around this. Just basing on what you've shared in screenshots and what you seem to be trying to execute.

    cd BIOS
    FLASH.BAT

    or

    \BIOS\FLASH.BAT

    or

    C:\BIOS\FLASH.BAT

Without knowing exactly what the script does, I'd recommend the first option just so that you are in the right directory when you execute it.

Keep in mind, again, that you are taking a risk here and any issues you come across are going to be much worse given your lack of experience with doing this.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm tempted to pick one up now. The only problem is that I now have an unlocked BIOS by SVET. So this may mean I will be stuck with maximum brightness and no GSync.

If it makes any difference I bought that same AUO panel mentioned above and installed it in my MST GT62VR and it works at 120HZ but Gsync is gone. I replaced the 60HZ IPS panel that came with it (gsync was on with that panel). I also cannot control the brightness as well. How does one get in touch with SVET for a modded BIOS?

Svet is over on the MSI forum. Just note, if you're not comfortable with some command line (even though he gives you exact instructions) and editing/flashing BIOS, I wouldn't recommend it.

The bios upgrade worked and the 7700k is up and running.
Went from a 6700 to 7700k. Time to test it out.

These Bios limit the 7700k to 4.4 and my track pad can be turned off and on.

Wait, you're not getting your full speed? Once core should be 4.5 with Turbo and the others are 4.4.

Sure, when I get to my computer silo, I'll take a few. It is worth noting that unless you (or any other that is pondering the idea) are going to be doing some heavy OC'ing, you should wait until Eurocom unlocks their BIOS a little more. I know some of you are antsy about pushing your 7700K's but some of the unlocked BIOS settings require a lot of knowledge. In addition, just getting your BIOS unlocked requires your complete attention and knowledge.

You guys shouldn't have to wait much longer for the Eurocom BIOS that support OC'ing the 7700K. Mr. Fox is getting his Tornado F5 on Monday and he will push it to its limits, after which he will give Eurocom his results.

Does the adhesive roll come with the monitor or did you buy it separately?

The adhesive roll does not come with the screen and I purchased this separately to replace the adhesive that MSI uses on this screen to secure the bezel very tight against the screen to minimize bleed and make it look cleaner.

This is what I purchased and it works great.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WIQW3U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the tool set I purchased to help the removal of the screen as it does use that adhesive/glue and you need to remove the screen from the inside not the outside! It's very easy with the plastic tool to get under the bezel and essentially loosen the glue and then pop the clips. Working your way around very slowly and it comes off with relative ease. Then you can remove the rest of the black adhesive by hand or by scrapping it off. After its all cleaned up just use the double sided tape and replace it. The screen pops right back on and the tape with make it very tight and it looks perfect. You cannot tell I've take the bezel off and it's been off 2x now.

    I am getting 4.5 with 1 core and 4.4 on 2,3, and 4 cores.

Its running at 89C with full fans at 4.4. I only put some bad thermal paste to see if the newer bios worked. Tomorrow I will delid it and go through the entire process of getting cooler temps. It will get CLU on the cpu die and gelid extreme on the IHS.

    upload_2017-1-21_20-20-43.png

Did you also update the bios.

Is your track pad button not working, my doesnt turn on and off with the "fn F3"

At factory settings, the 7700K only runs at 4.5 on one core and the rest at 4.4 Turbo. It is something that most reviewers don't mention and Intel really doesn't advertise. Those temps are really bad. I know you are using crappy paste but man, I don't even go above 80C when I'm OC'ed at 5.0. Thankfully, you will run much cooler than me when you delid with LM.

I have not updated my BIOS to the latest from Eurocom and I likely won't now that I have them completely unlocked.

I'm no stranger to removing/replacing LCD panels and I have most of those tools on hand. The adhesive roll I do not have and that's a great find! I'll grab a couple rolls of that and add it to my computer toolbox.

theres an adhesive already on the panel cover. It all comes off very easily. It sort of has a snap to put it back too.

They have had these panels for a long time, for the X4E2 if you look. So, they've always been available.

I've been able to go much higher, with three different bioses so far. a v1, v3.03 and the v3.06 and I think there is a newer one.

It's up guys! HIDevolution is offering the EVOC 16L-G-1080 aka the MSI 16L13 with a Delid/Liquid Ultra 7700K and GTX 1080 for sale. http://www.hidevolution.com/evoc-16l-g-1080-custom-built-gaming-desktop-replacement-laptop.html

I'm really angry that I didn't wait until HIDevolution got theirs in stock. I paid over $100 extra and I didn't get a delid/LM 7700K. I have about 13 employees who are very impressed by my Tornado F5 and they want one. Guess which company is going to get those orders. If only Eurocom didn't forget about their promise (they did end up making good only after my e-mail rant) but even with the extra memory, I still paid an extra 100 on my machine versus HIDevolution's.

I'm going to refer all of my employee's and everyone else for that matter to HIDevolution who want this amazing machine.
