    4K is LQ156D1JW04 (25ms, 60hz, 90%-ish sRGB) - can anyone confirm?

I think the gsync method is eDP adaptive refresh rate.

Amazing bro! you are like me in the sense, you want peace of mind and want nothing but the best. Great move about that Silicon Lottery CPU/Delidded, will help keep those temps down during intense action :D
also, it's great from Donald to add that screen to the config for you as you were speaking. This would remove any buyer's remorse and you know you got excactly what you wanted. I don't think even Eurocom offers such configurations and that 3200MHz RAM! I've never seen that sold anywhere! Amazing man.

    Very happy for you

I think only @Donald@HIDevolution can confirm the screen model at this point since no one has this laptop yet.

Yes brightness control is usable via the NV control panel but is merely a software brightness control. Hardware level brightness control isn't there. That said 100% brightness would be where I would leave it anyways in most situations.

It's a Samsung PLS panel, 72% NTSC color gamut. That should be about equal to 100% sRGB, but not Adobe RGB.

yes, of course, we tried with G-Sync off. I don;t think he is having g-sync related issues, those are specifically different

That's a tough call. I say the P750 because you can use Clevo/cheaper (price wise, but quality higher) pascal cards. Temps.. well they call the F5 the tornado because of maybe the sounds of the fans going nuts for a reason.

What bios are you on or have you updated to the bios with 7700k support. When I updated to the newer bios the button to turn off and on the track pad doesnt work anymore.

I think I'll stick to this thread (even though my MSI 16L is from Eurocom) and provide helpful advice. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I have the 7700K/1080 version with completely unlocked BIOS.

I am on the original BIOS that came with the laptop. I never unlocked mine and never requested an upgrade to the latest versions. I would not be able to tolerate not being able to disable the trackpad, that would be a very large issue for me.

    I'm on BIOS E16L1IE9.100 build day 6/29/2016

@birdyhands I had forgotten about flux! Thank you so much! This is excellent for night and makes this screen perfect for night use.

Just checking to see if you're using the latest nVidia drivers (378.49). It might not be related but I found this lovely item in the release notes under Win 10 fixes:

LOL! While I'm amenable to, and grateful for, any suggestions, please read my other posts before you get too excited. I'm a boring, middle-aged engineer who's buying this beast as a developer workstation. I don't have the luxury (nor the need) to risk even a little stability in pursuit of a tiny performance boost. Give me a 4.8 GHz overclock with rock-solid stability, and I'm a happy camper. :)

I may be the guy watching and reading with interest while you max out the next one. :)

Take a rubber band and use the screwdriver through it. The rubber grips the metal and lets you get enough torque to pop it free.

I can get about 870 max... but if you run a firestrike or a CPU bench like prime 95 scores seem normal. I think XTU is penalising you by 40-45% based on not recognising CPU.

Yea I literally have a good dozen 7700K to choose from. I used to only have 2-3 at a time, and gave my customers the choice of which to have, but I stopped offering that option. Too time consuming, and in the end, they were pretty much all identical once delid. haven't really seen any variance.

SVET is working on the unlocking of the bios for Eurocom currently, and about white listing the panel, might be him doing that too. not sure If I'm okay saying other people's business like this, just thought to share it as a curtsy, as this is what I have been updated with.

Excellent news. I have myself requested this exact thing from him a few days ago. He said he might be able to do it but wasn't sure as he has never done it before. When I get home I'm sending him my current bios, ec, current and previous panel names.

Can someone give me a picture of hwinfo64 panel ID for the Stock LG gsync?

You need a calibration device to use with any sort of calibration software.
There are plenty out there like -
    Spyder 5 series
    I1 Display series
    Color Munki series.

Does the throttle happen during gaming also, or only when stress testing?

Truecolor looks for the laptop ID in the EC/BIOS, same as Steel series. There is a slight chance the software could be decompiled and messed with to make work but it may not as the panel could be different?

Yeah I am also agreeing with everyone else that it is the paste job, but you shouldnt have to immediately repaste a 2k+ laptop. I know a large number of us here would no matter what but some don't enjoy doing this. Eurocom really needs to better QC their paste jobs...

And Liquid metal instead of a top notch thermal paste will make the temp results a lot worse with a uneven-warped heatsink!! Also said in previous posts!! Stop the complaining... Fix the underlying problems first.

The paste job is probably excellent. But You can't get it to work if the heatsink have bad fit on IHS with Coolaboratory Liquid metal applied. Old knowledge. Confirmed he use it in previous posts. And @istojanovic stop using your machine with heavy tasks. Fix it before you kill your chips. Or let Eurocom do it.

Kabylake vs Skylake on gaming has 0% gain, no improvement clock to clock

    http://wccftech.com/intel-core-i7-7700k-vs-core-i7-6700k-cpu-performance-tests/

really a bad generation, just keep in skylake, and you save extra money

i have a 6700 non K, 4 GHz, about 4 hours of gaming the temps are 60 C on auto fans, I think is the best cpu for a laptop, the 300 MHz extra for the K versión is not worth all these extra temp

K can be overclocked or left at stock 4.2ghz and undervolted to match the 6700 non K power consumption.
