I run with BF4 with all High except for Mesh Quality which I set to Low. Just played a game of 64player Paracel Storm and my fps was sitting anywhere from 40-59. Seriously amazing for a 4 core Piledriver running at speeds much lower than desktop.

BF4 must be utilizing newer instruction sets or AMD must have got them to optimize it for their APU line because BF3 performed noticeably worse than this. Nice job DICE and AMD!

Nice to hear that, BF3 ran badly for my taste, so I didn't even try BF4 expecting total slideshow no matter what settings and resolution on multiplayer.

Newer games run better on GX60, than those released at the time of it's premiere... now that is something I want to hear all the time!

On a sidenote, I currently play Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut. The game has a reputation of running lot worse, than vanilla version from 2011. Spite that, I get 30-60 frames with absolutely everything turned on MAX/ON, DX11.

It's so dissapionting however, than Kaveri is a total no go for us...

Aside from improved gameplay aspects and boss battles, the graphics have been tuned up and shaders modified, so the Director's Cut is a bit more taxing, than vanilla version.

I can't wait to see how much Mantle technology from AMD will help to mitigate the bottleneck effect of A-10. I particulary can't wait to see new Mass Effect and Dragon Age running on Mantle, BF4 will also be a nice demonstration of Mantle.

If anyone of you guys plays BF4 a lot on GX60, then be sure to tell us what difference does the Mantle make once it's released in a patch in December.

I got a hunch, that performance boost will be better, for those with weak CPU's. So we wait and see.

Was there any changes to the system such as OS, or audio driver itself?
Try reinstalling the Realtek audio driver and see if it resolves it or not.

My GX70 3BE constantly have cpu frequency drops from 2.75 ghz to 1.5 ghz while playing BF4 causing the awful fps drops. Core Unparking didn't work, RAM Usage was fine, Installed the latest and pretty much any fix labelled in battleog forums. Is anyone of u having this problem, I've ran benchmarks and the cpu's frequency stayed constant. My temps are 59 degree celcius under BF4 Load. I would appreciate any input or help

I bought a Gx70 in the last week and I was testing it now. I have got while 100 ~ 114 Cº when I am playing , and 80ºC when I am in Desktop. Is it normal? Look it at Cpu Package, maybe the sensor is broken. Screenshoot -> http://i.imgur.com/NLtbvx6.jpg

hi just for show how much A8-5550M ES OC is realy interesting:

    +12% in mono CPU
    +34% in multi CPU

    =====> I5-3320M 2.6-3.3 give: 1.25 mono and 3.06 multi

Hey mate, best fix for this type of issue is locking your CPU to the top frequency. Below is something I put together to guide people through Kenglish's way of locking their 4600m or 5750m.

Guide How to Lock 5750m To 3.2Ghz.jpg

It should solve your problem and give you a fps boost for CPU intensive games like BF4 (you may have to revert the changes if you want to reset the comp and also better to have it plugged in while the fix is in place).

    @arjunpalia

Havent tried Arma 3, Arma 2 was okay, but Dayz wasn't really playable..

Planetside 2 on the other hand, was playable pre :1 (Operation make faster game 1) and after it the game is great, GPU bottlenecked at 80fps at warp gate, most battles around 50-60fps (back to CPU bottleneck), and even in the most zerg fights (200-300 people) still very much playable at 35fps, This is all with my A10-5750m locked at 3.2Ghz with the fix shown in the image above.

    Enjoy!

    Hey mate,

Appreciate the graph however in order to be comparing apples to apples, it's a bit better to compare your maximally OCed 5550 ES, with a Regular a10-5750m tweaked to it's best..

As such I recommend adding in gx60-a10-5750m @ 3.2Ghz, (which I acomplish using the method in the post above) = Multi core score 2.66.

    Meaning the multi-threaded improvement is (3.05/2.66)-1 = .1466 = 14.66% See my Screenshot below

    5750m Pre and post fix.jpg

Worth noting with all cores running at 3.2Ghz, during the single threaded test the score was no better than stock however modern games (ie BF4) utilize all 4 cores well

    I think his "A8 3.2GHz" entry covers the 3.2GHz locked A10

Interesting how the 3.2GHz A8 loses to a stock A10 in the single threaded. Must be hitting 3.5GHz a fair bit.

That is nice, I've measured something similar difference previously in real world situations, such as encoding a movie. Especially impressive from going A10-4600M, A8 ES is almost 50% faster...

i will use your 2.66 @ 3.2 for the 5750m for the multi
but in mono, you are @ 3.2 too and not à 3.5???

    3.7 it's my realy stable OC/24H (max temps was 84° )

the score is better when i OC the memories timing ( 0.96 and 3.10 ) that why i seach to force memorie 1866.

I will post many other result and it's realy better @ 3.7. ( bench or game )

Iv tried it as well. It picked up the 1866 but cept on freezing in games. I have bench marked it successfully but it kept on frozing in games. I then opt for 1600 with lower latencies. Bench n bit better then than the 1866 with about 50 points on 3d mark vantage

My gess will be to try and use overdrive. I contackted every body thas now msi, amd, local destributor, kingston, trasend. Every body I could think of but no one gave me a direct answer. I found a local store willing to helm me test for compatabilty and thats when I ended up testing it. I musr say the 1600cl9 from kingston work very well with the system.

It is not the motherboard fault, but the A8 processors. Only A10 Richland support 1866MHz memory speed... Those who have A8 ES processor, why do not you try one of these modules, here? These might run CL8 near 1600MHz or with Taiphon Burner tweak, even CL7 with 1,5V!

When you delete all the profiles (expect 1866MHz) from the timing table with Taiphon Burner, than the modules are forced to run 1866MHz. However you will get black screen, the laptop won't start up with A8 APU. For A8 only lower timings could help increase performance...
