Great pictures Lisupoland. From yours print screens that game looks beautifull. I played farcry 3 on mine from a while. Did it run better than Far cry 3 ??
-
Cool views . I wonder what the results would be on the A10?
-
WAY better.
Far Cry 3 on A-10 4600m often dipped to 20 FPS and I couldn't do anything about it.
Far Cry 4 is a milestone compared to Far Cry 3.
Having an ES really helps GX in this game since Far Cry 4 manages to use all 4 cores of our A-10s despite that A-10/ES has a module architecture instead of "real" 4 separate cpu cores like in Intel solutions.
Another great news is that I've done some digging on the net concering the quite often stuttering in the game.
Turns out you can eliminate 90% of the stuttering by just doing a call tweak in Gamerprofile.cfg file!
All you need to do is to go to your My Documents/My Games/Far Cry 4 and open your Gamerprofile.cfg file on a notepad and find this line:
DisableLoadingMip0= 0
Change the value and the end from 0 to 1, then save the file - and there yo go!
After this tweak I could tune up the details way more and now I play smoothly and very comfortably on these settings:
And below are screenshots from these settings - I kid you not, the game does look this amazing and does reach such satisfying FPS rates on GX60 with ES!
Notice how my 7970m almost always works on ~99% load!.
In Far Cry 3 on A-10 4600m i was always dipping to those 20 FPS which made the game just unpleasant to play.
Now it's super comfy and smooth on 3.7 Ghz.
HONEY BADGER DON'T CARE!

Thanks for that tip !!! Flying and driving is butter smooth now.
I play on almost the same settings. I left water and environment on high but turned volumetric fog on, fps stays on 35-45, game looks AMAZING ! -
Well, that is very good news!!
it is already playable with smoothness and will be even better in future when AMD releases a official driver with far cry 4 profile
and the normal bug fixes and optimizations that really boost the game.
That fixs already started to came out on beta releases.
You can see it there:
AMD Catalyst⢠14.11.2 Beta Driver for Windows® -
Do these drivers work on laptops?
I tried 14.11.1 beta and those were all screwed up on my GX. -
Yes, it work but is a bad idea if you play older games.
On this drivers, you really need to Uninstall your actual before or you get broblems.
This drivers is more for who is hardly playing farcry 4 and other new updated games.
But because it is not a final version, some older games and even some things came messed up.
Its better you wait !!
i already got the same problems on other betas release.
That link and that page for me is only good to see Amd work and their develoveplment to see what we can wait.
And you cand see that came out very good news of farcry 4 improvements that will be implement on the next final release.
you should expect a few fps more that never is too much
-
I installed 14.11.2 beta, no issues so far, Far Cry 4 has 90-99% of my 7970m use as before
-
For you take the risk looks like you are hardly playing farcry 4
" No pain, no game!" -
Yep! I won't stop until I shoot every pesky Honey Badger there is in Kyrat.

Hey guys, I've really no idea why it took me so long to post here, on an official thread, but oh well.
I have a GX-60 1AC, the very first model I think, with A10-4600M, HD7970M and 8gb of RAM. Since the very beginning it gave a ton of trouble (performance-wise), but I managed to solve most of them step by step, until like a few weeks ago. I decided to reinstall BF4 and catch up on the new DLCs. Last time I played it was around May, and I remember it running pretty smoothly on medium details (around 50 fps). Imagine my shock when after downloading and installing 50gbs of BF4 data I could barely run it on minimal settings. The game stuttered, lagged and what not. I had max 20 fps, the whole thing was unplayable. I tried changing settings in-game, in AMD panel, I downloaded Razer Game Booster and all I got was maybe 5-10 fps more. I've tried milion different drivers. I'm not a masochist, so after a few hours spent on fixing the thing I gave up and uninstalled the game. Then I moved on to Shadow of Mordor. Things are okay here, the game runs smoothly on medium/high settings with Razer tool turned on. The newest Call of Duty is also unplayable, but that's the matter of poor optimization.
So, my question is, what happened during these 6 months from May that makes BF4 (and not only BF4, problems occur in other games too, especially in multiplayers) unplayable or barely playable? I haven't installed any programs, haven't switched my anti-virus, haven't changed any system settings, nothing. What can I do to fix it? Should I stick to particular drivers? I regulary update them (beta versions), but that doesn't seem to do much.
Also, I couldn't find anywhere a guide or information on how to put my CPU in turbo mode, cause that literally NEVER turns on (I can tell by the sounds my GX makes, and by settings in AMD panel, which show that its max speed may be 2.3 Ghz and cannot be turned up any way).
Any help would be much appreciated. -
In my opinion, what you shoud to do to solve your prolem and to despite that you do not have a hardware problem is:
1- Run amd driver clean up and then reboot.
2-Install last oficcial driver for gx60 from msi website (CCC 9.012) and reboot again.
you can found it here: MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Motherboard, Graphics and more 64
3- Make sure that the game you are trying to run is set to Performance on swichtable graphics in Catalyst control center.
Battlfield 4 should be run fine on low and medium settings at 1920X1080.
Also make sure that you do not have any program using much cpu during the game because it will dramatically afect your fps in game. -
Here we go again
same s...t is happening for no apparent reason. I'm forced to use PSCheck.
Tried all the tips you gave me before, besides baredit ( no clue how it works and what to do).
It's a shame as your script is so much less hassle.Am I missing something ? Is there anything I need to install before ill be able to use this script ? -
For some reason, setpci isn't working and doesn't lock the cores on P3 state's frequency. Why dunno ... did you run the script with admin privileges ?
-
yes i did.
-
May by you should try fresh OS install ? I would have done so .
Btw - is there any chance for the info as Lords of the Fallen and DO: I is playable on the A-10 4600m , or no chance ?
.
I do not know whether to buy it , a pity of cash if it did not work properly (at least 25 + fps on medium , and 720p) -
if my 8970m will burn (3be), will they give me new (2 year msi warranty) ?
-
If they don't prove you that is was overclocked/you tweaked your GX, then they should.
-
i currently own this laptop and looking to the next gen of games i guess i'll have to upgrade the cpu... is it possible? what should i take into account when looking for a new cpu? i'm especially concerned if there are any incompatibilities with other hardware parts.
-
A-10 5750m Enginnering Sample (ES) is as far as you can upgrade the CPU.
Look up my tutorial in my signature for details. -
Hi there, Where can I buy a A-10 5750m es?
I'm not sure exactly and it would help greatly.
Thank you. -

I picked free delivery so it was a long wait but if you don't mind spending another 30e for DHL, you can have your ES at your doorstep within few days. -
I confirm this is a legit seller.
Only downside is - you need to wait up to 45 days for delivery, but it's worth it, GX really benefits from an ES. -
First big thanks for LisuPoland for the great tutorial. Without I would not take the step to do the upgrade (Came from A10-4600m)
Alos big thanks for consolero4ever for the great script which made overclocking very easy! It is no stupid proof.
I am installing now BF4 to see how well the the game plays.
I also orderd from this guy. It took 16 days to been deliverd to Holland with standard shipping. -

The es should be a massive improvement to BF4.

Hi Guys! I'm desperate for your help. I have a MSI GX60 3CC, and I'm having some trouble in this moment with the ATI Catalyst Control Center software and the R9 M290X. Now I explain what exactly happened.
My computer was working great, I was editing some startup parameters of the ArmA2, I did it succesfully and played with no problems, then I turned off the computer. A couple of hours later, I turned on the PC, then something like this started to happen (I don't have Avast installed, so that's not the problem), I managed to make the computer work by pressing the power button and activating sleeping mode, then turning on the PC again. I ran some games after that, and I noticed a weird font style, literally, the font of the letter were just like Comic Sans! (This happened in ArmA 2 and 3, however, it seems that the framerate were not affected so much). With hope, I decided to restart my PC, then I saw that the "Restarting" screen didn't appear, and instead of it, a blue screen appeared, and the computer restarted. The problem that you watched in the video happened again.
At this point, I was really desperated, I talked to my vendor and he said that this was probably a virus, that I should restore the system. Actually I don't think this is a virus, but I do think that the solution is restoring the system, but I've tried other options first:
I've uninstalled ATI Catalyst Control Center, then I restarted... Everything worked normal, the "restarting" screen appeared as usual and the PC started normally, then I noticed that the fan was working while I was doing nothing (and the fan booster button was not activated), so I ran a monitor software that showed me that the R9 M290X was doing all the job, while the APU that comes with the A10 was doing nothing. After that, I tried to install again ATI CCC, so I've downloaded it from the official website... The problem returned, I unistalled and used my Driver Utility Disc and installed ATI CCC from there... the problem fixed!!! the computer turned off and started normally... then I've executed ArmA 2 (without startup changes) and the weird font appeared again, then I've restarted and the problem came back.
I uninstalled ATI CCC, ArmA2 and ArmA3, then downloaded the AMD Driver Downloader Tool, I've installed ATI CCC using this tool and the problem was fixed... I restarted some times and installed ArmA2 and 3 again... everything worked fine for some hours, then, when I was going to sleep (after playing some games), the problem came back again.
I don't know what to do now. I'm getting ready to buy an external HDD for saving my files and restoring, but I was hoping you could give an advice before I do that... What could be going on??? Any help, any tip, any word will be useful!! Thanks for your time!
PS: I still have warranty, I bought the PC two weeks ago!! -
Is there an AMD driver that you guys recomend for best gaming performance?
I Just use the autodetect tool of AMD tot download the required and latest divers. Any sugestions are welcome . -

This just came out.
AMD Catalyst 14.12 WHQL Omega Download -
This could be useful for somebody: I've found the solution (that worked for me), this is weird, but I've uninstalled Start Menu X and everything goes fine now.
Now I have another doubt, I hope you can help me. As I've said, I have the MSI GX60 3CC Destroyer, I'm wondering... Can I enable Dual Graphics on this laptop? I see in GPU-Z something like ATI CrossFire: Disabled (CrossFire available), How can I enable it? Thanks a lot- -
As far as I remember, dual graphics work for models within the same ballpark in performance. Since you have an integrated GPU and the highest end GPU from AMD, dual graphics would go from nothing to worse performance. CrossFire is available for dual GPU+ systems, like Dual R9 M290x. Dual graphics is like the crossfire solution for low-mid dedicated GPU+integratedGPU. CrossFire is for dual dedicated or more GPUs.
Can't enable either.LisuPoland likes this. -
I updated to this driver. BF4 seems to run a little smoother.
I have one question I use script of consolero4ever. I can overclock the CPU to 3900@ 1.26V. When running Cinebench I get 3.12pts which made me asume that the overclock works well. However when I play BF4 the game instantly crashes, it doesn't even start. If I disable the overclock then the game works well. The CPU temperature doesn't rise above the 82 C, so I don't think the temperature is too high.
The game also crashes when I lock the CPU at 3.ghz through the scirpt.
Any idea what could be the cause?
-
Did you try the HPET-TSC fixe included in the script (5th choice in the menu) ?
-
I updated too, but SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOY_HANDED BSOD appeared... Any suggestion?
-
Here's a fix :
Go there :
Download | RWEverything
Download the last portable installation : RwPortableX64...
Extract "Portable" folder content in the "Overclock" folder
Create the following command files :
lock.rw
unlock.rwCode:>WPCI32 0 24 3 0xA8 0x70000000 >WPCI32 0 24 3 0xDC 0x00A75337 >RwExit
Edit GXMods.batCode:>WPCI32 0 24 3 0xA8 0xF0000000 >WPCI32 0 24 3 0xDC 0x00A75737 >RwExit
Replace
byCode:setpci.exe -s 00:18.3 A8.l=f0000000 setpci.exe -s 00:18.3 DC.l=00a75734
And replaceCode:rw.exe /command="unlock.rw"
byCode:setpci.exe -s 00:18.3 A8.l=70000000 setpci.exe -s 00:18.3 DC.l=00a75334
Tested and approved there :Code:rw.exe /command="lock.rw"

Hi everyone and Happy Holidays
Just a question, I own a GX60-1AC Windows 7 at Legacy Mode. I already own an A10-5750m ES and follow Lisupoland's tutorial.
My current setting for my A-10 is @ 3.7GHz (1.26v using Overdrive). At this point, I can say that I am already happy with this but I just want to know
the limits of this ES. Anyone manage to reach stable 4GHz using Overdrive? Is this possible? or this can only be achieved using
PS Check? It will be highly appreciate if anyone can share his/her knowledge about this? I already search other forums but it seems their settings
are not compatible with mine (or i can say "unstable" on my GX60). I am playing MMO and we know that MMO relies mostly on CPU power.
Can you please help me with this? (tutorials, pictures or links?) Thanks in advance! -
Personally I find 3.7 Ghz the best safety/performance gain variant.
If you set your clock on 4 Ghz your cooling fans will constantly hum loud and that can be annoying on longer run.
There are people who managed to OC the ES 4.2 Ghz but that is just for benchmark, since gaming on these clocks could prove to be deadly for the ES. -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
With the perfect paste job and maybe even borrowing the Intel heatsink (did this work?) You could maybe squeeze a bit more.
-
Hi guys, I got the ES cpu and everything went just fine.
One question I had was that i do have the GX60 1ac with windows 8 on it, can I update the bios or is that for windows 7 only? -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
It works on both Win7 and Win8. -
Alright, but i think I asked the wrong question.
What i should have said was that I have the 1ac.
Should I go to the gx60 hitman edition page and download the win 8 bios of that and flash it?
I think once I figure that out I should be good to go. -
Hey guys, I might be interested in the gx60 destroyer, but my doubt is largely about the cpu. It looks very "weak". 3357 ( PassMark - AMD A10-5750M APU - Price performance comparison ) is very low, even compared to an "old" intel quad core, such as the i 920: PassMark Intel vs AMD CPU Benchmarks - High End
How does this cpu actually fare in working with professional applications? I plan to use it primarily in audio applications, which are actually quite cpu demanding.
Is "overclocking" (or cpu locking) easy? Does the temperature increase considerably? I will also use it at work, so I need to switch quickly to a low power consumption mode. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
It's best to flash to the same series of BIOS.
For example, 5XX to 5XX, and 7XX to 7XX. -
consolero4ever big thanks again by your work!!
lately i was not able to overclock my ES because i was getting errors and the overclock do not was working well
something changed in my pc that i do not know what and i was needing to reformat my pc..... and it will not happen so soon i think.
the errors from SetPCI:
i tested the new version of your script and it works well again via RWEverything and now looks like it even work with Powernow enabled on bios (i tested by accident but it worked well)
Thanks again.
i leave here my results from improvements that i get paying wit ES in other game:
battlefield 4 online multiplayer Locker map TDM 32 players
1080p with ultra preset CCC 14.12
3.2 locked min 24 max 60 avg 38
3.6 Ghz min 26 max 65 avg 41
i see less random fps drops in game.
in lower presets, medium or low the diference is more noticiable.
