I have already received from their devaysa brick, with BIOS firmware .![]()

wait, what brick? I dont understand it exactly
-
hi guys,
this is my first post after months of monitoring this thread. it has been very informative... and entertaining at times too. hehe. well I just wanna ask why the new catalyst 15.3 beta is giving me this AMD Firepro option. weird. This was not present before. or am I just imagining things and Firepro has always been there before. I remember seeing Eyefinity group something there.
Im using a gx60 1ac upgraded with the a10-5750 es. running on 3.3Mhz if that matters. I already uninstalled the old omega drivers then reinstalled the new beta catalyst 15.3.
anyone have the same experience? -

I think he was referring to failure of BIOS update which caused the NB to become a brick (useless). -
what does it mean to you that you got this option? any changes, issues?
-
Began to flash the bios and after flashing got a black screen, that is ditched bios. But fortunately, I was able to restore the BIOS. At the same version that I had, that is 50A. And to the other version(D0L), I still can not upgrade. You just GX60-1AC. If yes, tell me how you
overcome all difficulties, I did not get to get around them.Last edited: Mar 31, 2015 -
yes I have original 1AC
firstly I updated bios to newest 1AC after to one from Hitman Edition. 3BE after. and at last 3CC
just when one newer came available I flashed it. -
I have the latest BIOS for GX60-1AC from the official website(50A), then I try to install the latest version of the BIOS for GX60-Hitman Edition(D0L) and there is a problem.

May be a problem in the processor ? Do you what processor is in the laptop? More precisely when you pierced , what processor you have got rid installed?Last edited: Apr 1, 2015 -
I got an A8 ES but its not a CPU problem.
You have to force flash this bios.
Edit the flash.bat of the bios and delete "/X"
here is the meaning ofparameters:
p = update main bios image
b = update book block
n = update NVRAM
e = update embedded controller block
x = do not do extra checks on ROM compatibility -
Here is my FLASH.bat : AFUDOS.EXE E16FKAMS.D0L /P /B /N /K /R - in the end you need to add only the "/ X", or else change?
A file FLASHWinX64.bat to change something you need? Sew need through UEFI? -
man... did you try to google anything?
its tiring to do it for you especialy that even in this topic probably I said it like twice.

I know how to use the internet))) I looked at a lot of sites before you start asking questions. Therefore, I apologize if tired of my questions. The site, which you pointed out to me, I did not come across. Thank you for the fact that he pointed out the link above for the evening come home from work I will try.

Hey guys ! Back for another question!
I wonder if some of us did test GTA5 with the GX 60... I looked at the specs this game require and compared the intel Q6600 with the AMD 5750M on this website : https://www.cpubenchmark.net/
As you can see the 5750 M (stock) is just above the Q6600, so I think The GX60 can run GTA5 but I Wonder with how much FPS and if there is no FPS drops...
So thanks for the reply for those who tested
-
Need some advise guys, thanks in advance.
Current set-up: GX60-1AC
APU: A10-5750m ES (3.7 ghz @1.25v using bar-edit + Overdrive)
GPU: HD7970m (stock)
Driver: 14.12 Omega drivers
Game Problem: Battlefield 4
Video Setting > 1080p, High/Med mixed, AA off and other last option off
API: Direct X 11 (mantle does not provide any boost as of today, in my experience)
Game mode > any 32 / 64 player maps
Frames: 25-35 fps only (is this normal due to existing bottleneck? or I should be getting more frames from my current set-up?)
Actually, I wanted to achieve "raul77 you tube video of BF4". He's actually having 60+ fps in any video setting and in 64 player maps. I read some forums (Alienware I7 with i7-7970m combo) that disabling the integrated graphics of (in A10-5750m, HD 85++) in the "Device Manager" could improve 7970m performance since Enduro is turned "off" by this method. Does anyone tried this? Will this cause any problems? or its better to unlock my bios and disable the integrated gpu by using this unlocked bios.
Additional, when I am playing Battlefield 3, I was able to get 60-100 fps in any video setting and in 32 / 64 players maps. This was the comparison I observed between the these two games.
Thanks again for those who will help
-
I'm just trying the Dragon Age: Inquisition. It seems that in the middle of detail , with 2xmxaa it is possible to play in full hd resolution at 35-60 fps. Very nice.
Worse is that the game comes out very often with no reason to the desktop , but it's just not for me as I read.
I have still A10-4600m processor so I'm pleasantly surprised
.
-
the video of raul77 seems to be fake
I was considering it like year ago. -
I see. but any advise from my previous post?
-
If it can help you, I have played only in single player and I had 35 FPS mini, for 50-60 max and used ultra settings with SMAA. I have the GX60 3cc with stock CPU.
-
Cloclo, I have no problems with single player, it is very playable. But our processors is still weak (even at 3.7 ghz) to run playable frames at 64 player mode. I tried sort of video combination settings but still consistent with low fps (25-35)
-
But it is not so good
. I had to go for 14.11.2 beta drivers. Mantle API gives me between 20 and 30 fps in high settings .
Btw. How to measure the fps on mantle? Fraps, MSI AB, Riva Tuner shows me nothing . -
@rpool05
it seems that your fps are ok.
it depends also which map are you playing. eg. goldmud works better then paracels storm
I play with all lowest at fullHD and got 30-60 fps that are rounding and also depends on map I play but I got R9
you've right - mantle here is a bullsht -
Talking of the R9, mine is recodnized as a 8970 with the 14.11.2 driver. I also tried Mantle but i had lot of stuttering
-
I dont know if this is a driver issue for mantle (14.12 omega). But from what I am seeing on you tube showing their HD7000 (desktop) series performance on mantle, it seems ok.
I also tried playing at lowest detail but at 1080p, I also got 30-60 fps on selected maps. I also monitored VRAM usage in DX11 and with Mantle, no changes when switching (as Mantle uses VRAM to help CPU on workloads). Peek GPU utilization for 7970m (in any video setting combination on 64 player map) is just 50%. -.- -
has everyone fixed their backlight control problem? or has it been fixed? all these months, I haven't fixed it yet.. tried almost everything. The only way I can control backlight is when Im on battery mode. when I plug it in, backlight automatically switches to a certain backlight level (don't know what level as the controls are broken). can someone help me please if you have found a solution to this. Im on windows 8.1.
-
There is not much information how DA:I is doing on gx60 laptop , so that I will write a bit more
.
On Mantle API , 14-11-2 beta drivers and stock A10- 4600 (without blocking the clocks) the game is completely playable in mixed settings and fhd resolution .
The game looks very well and generates on my eye more than 30 fps, which is far enough to play with pleasusre .
No stuttering ,no jams .
Only in the Asylum/Haven it seems to be a little bit less fps . 22-25 I think .
But so far in this location what you do is only buying and talking . I can live with that
.
Nice is that there is still no game in which I want to play on gx , but I can't because of the poor performance on a laptop
Now I'm waiting for The Witcher 3. I expect at least 22-30 fps in low to medium grafic settings , resolution 1600/900 would be nice . We will see . -
Any information about how GTA 5 runs on this laptop?
-
All I read was that is runs better, than GTA IV.
-
I seem to have problem running gta v on the laptop. But I think it's just my issue. I have. 2gb ram of graphic memory installed but for some reason only 500 mb shows up
-
I read about this problem, maybe you need to desactivate enduro or turn in performance mode GTA in Catalyst control center... the problem is that gta runs on the APU not on discrete graphic card
-
Tq for the info. I will look it up and see what I can do
-
all you need to do is to check the tick in settings "ignore limits" down from the memory usage bar. The game work at dGPU but just the bar reads wrong.
-
Open the console, type - PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1

The Witcher 3 is working very well so far on gx60 ( cpu a10--4600m , no PS Check)
-
Seriously, I bought on the PS4 as thought the gx60/70 would struggle.
How well are we talking? -
We are talking about 30/40 fps at fhd resolution with AA enabled, details med/med/ high. But in the village it drops to 23/28. I am only in the first location. There are rumors that in the next locations is worse. I will see and I can tell if anyone is curious
.
-
Not bad then, be interesting to see what happens when you get to Novigrad .Is this with the 1.03 patch? Hopefully it can improve with a few patches, was looking forward to get it on my gx70 when some mods get released
-
I did a test with The Witcher 3 (patch 1.0.3) on my GX60.
It has a better A-10 version which is A-10 5750m ES running on 3.7 Ghz.
Suffice to say, performance is really stunning in a positive way.
I use FHD resolution, AA and other eye-candy features are also enabled (except the Nvidia Hair feature). Sliders are set from med to uber.
I get stable 30 fps in the first village which is already filled with detail, people, animals ect.
Game is very responsive and mouse feels smooth and comfortable, no lag durning mouse movement.
Great optimalization has to play an enormous part here as well as the fact that newer games put more load on GPU, than CPU.
GX60 seems to be a great mobile platform for The Witcher 3 so far.rpool05 likes this. -
In Novigrad I expect problems with FPS, nothing new for me in the Witcher series
. I think I can live with that if 70/80% of the game will retain at least 25 fps. I'm still on v.1,02
I am very pleased with this game, it is really outstanding. Also, I am so glad that gx doing so well . Before buying most of the advisers advised me to take Lenovo Y580 , and they were laughed with my choice - as far as I know , they can only dream about to play at my settings .rpool05 likes this. -
Hello there! I finaly get my A10-5750M ES this morning. After paying 28 Euros of taxes (DHL Shipping) i made the upgrade. It works well and i did not made any drivers update for that. (OS Windows 8.1 64 bits, GX60 3cc)
First i made the trial on overdrive and it automaticaly finds 3.3 GHz/ 1.137 V as the last stable frequency, here is the screen shot :
It works but throttle after few minutes at 900Mhz.
Then, i tried the frequencies and voltages in the link below :
http://portables4gamers.com/forum/t...t-overclocking-reveillez-le-monstre-qui-dort/
the 3.6 / 1.18V is not stable (blue screen).
I tried by miself 3.5/ 1.18V and it is not stable but allow me to play 1 hour and the temperatures were good.
I know i am doing something wrong and the answer may be in these 430 pages but i am too laisy to re-reed it all. Maybe i need to disable power now in he bios but i do not know how to access the GX60 bios...
I have some difficulties to find lisupoland's tutorial witch gave a list of the stable frequencies, anyone can help me?Last edited: May 28, 2015 -
Firstly, congratulations. Just shipping for 28 euros or just taxes? Last week, I paid 21$ for 4600m es, and there is a a8 5550m just for 20$. Ok, forget the money
Anyway, I searched and tried all programs. Amd overdrive, bar-edit, pscheck etc. The most usefull program is if you dont have unlocked bios, amdmsrtweaker. Because you should disable APM and turbo boost for better overclocking. and for no throttling. Then the most usefull and simple program is gxmods_v2. You can find that in this thread, i can't remember the page. You can just google.
Anyway, here is the tutorial:
Turn off APM and turbo boost. (if you have unlocked bios from do it in bios or use amdmsrtweaker) Then with any program set the p0 states and vcore. And lock the cores. But if you find that program (gxmods_v2). It's more easy. Use that program.
Edit: Ultimate tutorial at page 406.Last edited: May 28, 2015 -
No! 28 Euros is just the price for taxes... i paid the APU 70 euros with DHL shipping.
So, thanks for your greatfull help. I finaly found lisupoland's tuto here if it can help others : https://forum-ru.msi.com/index.php?topic=78647.5560;wap2
I found how to access bios and disabled power now (is it that you call APM?), then i succefully overclocked to 3.5 Ghz / 1.1875 V (i am french and volts may not correspond)
The differencies are not so huge in farcry 4 since FPS drops near villages (17 - 22 fps) are the same than with stock A10.
I tried 1.238v @ 3.8Ghz but the apu throttles, is this normal since I desactivated power now? Otherwise, no blue screen.
I will try the tutoral page 406 because i need to push it way further... even with 3.5 Ghz temperatures are around 70°C ! -
Please go slow, Before to go 3,8 and 1.2xx volt, make sure no throttling, and if you can, before the game, do some benchmarks. If it's throttling and shows 70C~, after you really lock the cores and without throttling, your temp will increase a lot probably. And even if it's show works at 3,5ghz, and if tdp limit is on, it's not working 3,5 ghz really and this is why it's still at 70C.
You must turn off APM to disable tdp limit, otherwise it will throttling. i don't know powernow is the same thing with APM. Donwload aida64 extreme, open software, go motherboard,--cpuid--power management features--you can see application power management(APM), it's says disabled or enabled. Just try to find Gxmods_v2. I tried other programs, and i just see BSOD, or throttling. This program is more usefull and simple and working very well for me.Last edited: May 28, 2015 -
You are right, it throttles because TDP is more than 35W. My last stable frequency since i have not turned off APM is 3.6Ghz for 1.20 V.
It seems that your program is difficult to find.... I will see tomorrow.
I always bench before gaming it is much more safe. Anyway i need an all in one tweek, more easy to use day by day and that can be desactivated so the system does not freeze when you turn off power.
Like this thing :
http://portables4gamers.com/forum/t...un-apu-amd-a10-engineering-sample-sous-linux/
I will try and send news tomorrow. -
I found the post and program; http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...60-owners-lounge.692264/page-420#post-9863379
Try this program, and if you can't do again, or cpu throttling again because of TDP limit, i will explain amdmsrtweaker for disable APM. -
Yes, much better program, i love it thanks!!!
when i try higher frequencies without increasing the voltage, i see blue screen, so in my tests, i fix a frequency, then try different voltages.
If i know that 3.6/1.2V is stable, i try 3.7/1.2, then increase the voltage. For this frenquency i found 1.225V as last voltages without BSOD, but, after 30 minutes playing, throttle can be seen.
So yes, i need to disable APM, i will do some researches while waiting for your help.
In contrast, with no throttle at 3.6 Ghz (i look at overdrive to see if there is throttle), my temps still are very good. My thermal compound is Mx4 but i'll replace it with liquid metal. -
If it's throttle, the temps don't mean anything. For disable tdp limiting(and so APM), download amdmsrtweaker 1.1. just google.
Then open rar file, drag and drop "x64" to c disk, and rename this file "turbo"(you can rename anything, but this is easy). so if you open your c disk, there is turbo file, and inside there amdmsrtweaker, dll file etc.
Then, open dos. windows, start, type command. I don't know your windows language, right click to command(ms dos) and open with administrator.
Now you open ms dos: here it must showing you: c, sistem, windows32: here is the step by step:
cd c:\ (press enter)
cd turbo (press enter)
amdmsrtweaker APM=0 (press enter)
Now it's disabled APM(so tdp limiting), you can disable turbo too, but disabling apm also disabling turbo, but i don't know, you can disable turbo too.
amdmsrtweaker Turbo=0 (press enter)
That's it.
Again, be careful with temps. Go slowly.

I don't know, it looks ok. Can you see it's dropping to 900mhz? With Gxmods_v2, did you try both? You know, you can choose setpci or Rweverything. Or you can try to lock with bar-edit.
