I had this exact problem, drove me NUTS! I spoke with Microsoft twice, all they said was give it time, it will "eventually" activate, problem was due to server overload. They wouldn't/couldn't (not sure which) help manually activate.
I waited 48 hours of regular reboots, system on, etc (they told me to wait 24), still wouldn't activate, still told me "blocked".
I got annoyed, so decided to try the upgrade again, but that was going to require reinstalling 8.1 again first. So, out of desperation, I simply went to recover options, did a system refresh (delete everything, save nothing option), Windows 10 reinstalled, and magically activated on it's own. Ever since, 3 days later, system is activated and running great.
Not sure what solved it, maybe just the server gods finally smiled on me, but I can't help but think the clean install somehow confused the activation servers and got in a stuck state, and during the reinstall and new activation request, things went through smoothly. Just a guess, no idea what happened, but I totally feel your frustration.

The monitor has already G-sync, I understand you want gsync too when playing outside.
About resolution and fps. It depends of the game and settings, I can play Elite Dangerous at 144fps but no way with Witcher or GTA.
Anyway, you can play at 40fps and continue going smooth thanks to G-sync.
I got the monitor paired with a 980ti, and I can´t stop recomending it. (Thanks gods of gaming).
But paired with the 980m, (Which is nearly perfect for a 1080p laptop),I think it maybe will go short for the 2k, and it will be worse over time.
If I were you, I will look after one of the new 1080 panoramics if going sticked to the laptop, or perhaps invest in future rv, but I belive it´s a little too much monitor.
Sorry for my writing, since English isn´t my native language, and hope it helps.

Hey guys.
I upgraded to windows 10 and everything seems fine except one thing.
I can not access the Realtek HD Audio Manager interface.
The tray icon is missing, however the process shows up on the task manager. If I stop it and then double click the .exe again I get nothing other than a taskbar icon.
I tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling from MSI's download page but the problem still exists.
Sound Blaster Cinema 2 was unable to detect my device but Nahimic seems to be working fine with this driver.
I just can't access the Manager and I can't see the realtek tray icon.
Any ideas??? -
I'm having a potentially related, albeit somewhat different, issue. I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday after getting the notification, and everything went smooth. Only took about half an hour too.
That said, Nahimic simply does not work anymore. I open up the user interface just fine, but none of the profiles work, and I cannot click on any of the audio options. It also does not detect sound when I play something. I tried updating to the latest Realtek driver listed on MSi's website, but this did not solve anything. As a matter of fact, the sound now has a weird echo effect whenever I play anything. I have since switched to using Razr audio software and driver and the sound works fine, but I would really like to get Realtek and Nahimic working again.
Also, in addition to this, I am finding that Cortana does not respond when I say "Hey Cortana." I can click the mic icon and then say my command and it works fine, so I know it is not the mic. The mic also works fine in other programs. This might be a bug Microsoft has to fix, but I wonder if anyone else is having that issue. -

It should still show up, you could try and uninstall the driver through device manager before re-installing.
-
I did try removing the driver from device manager but it did not seem to make a difference. I also disabled automatic driver installation from windows update
As for hey cortana, although irrelevant: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-enable-hey-cortana-on-windows-10/Last edited: Aug 5, 2015 -
Have you tryed to reinstall Nahimic? It worked for me.Tommy Moore likes this. -

Can all of you guys access Realtek HD Audio Manager from the tray on windows 10? If yes, what realtek driver are you using and where did you get it?
-
Well, reinstalling Nahimic worked for me. Unfortunately, it did not fix the "Hey Cortana" voice activation issue, so I am convinced that is a bug in Windows 10 (especially since a number of peolle are having similar issues across the hardware spectrum).

You may need to select what generation processor you are using though. -
Hey Cortana works fine for me after enabling it using the steps i showed you. -
Anyway, I forget if it was mentioned before, but did you update to the latest BIOS? -
No I have not touched the BIOS yet, as Nahimic is working on my device already. I figured I did not need to touch the BIOS.
Do you think updating the BIOS would cause the realtek audio manager to appear again?
I have the 4th generation GT72 2QE and the bios description on MSI's website only mentions something about the IGPU -
-
Exactly the same situation with me then tiliarou.
I am wondering if this is the expected behaviour or something is wrong.
Have you updated the bios? -
Just upgraded to Windows 10, games feel like they play more smoothly and with higher fps.

After another Windows update, "Hey Cortana" is now working (sort of) for me. It seems to only activate sometimes though, kind of making the whole thing ineffective really. I'll chalk it up to still being somewhat new.

Unpack to a New Folder on the Desktop
After the installation removes the old driver and installs the new driver(2 reboots) if you don't have the HD Audio Manager Icon go to the new folder and look in the Vista 64 folder for RAVCpl64.exe.Right click on it and run as Admin. This should give you the icon back.
If you use headphones or ear buds set the Manager to Stereo. If you have 2.1,4.1,5.1 or 7.1 select 5.1 or 7.1 in the drop down menu and choose the correct options

That didn´t worked for me.

This does not work for me either. I've installed and reinstalled drivers 50 times...
Also there is no Vista folder the path is C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA
The exe is in there and it doesnt make a difference if I run it as admin or not. Nothing happens when I double click it.
Also it's enabled for the notification area... -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Did you run the original install with admin priveledges too?
-
Yes I believe I have tried that as well. I doubt it makes any difference.
I am starting to wonder if I need a BIOS update to get this to work... I haven't updated my BIOS because nahimic is already working with my current one -
Win 10 drivers for Haswell?
I did the update to Win 10 which went through ok but really want to do the clean install.
The MSI website has the Win 10 drivers and utilities for the Broadwell chip but not the Haswell so a bit hesitant without them.
http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GT72-2QE-Dominator-Pro.html
I presume it is better to use the MSI ones rather than leave the default Win 10 drivers? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
The drivers should be pretty much the same.
-
hi, does the gt72 2qe support wireless display
-
The new driver on MSI's site for the Synaptics TouchPad does not include a setting to enable 2 finger tap for right click. This annoyed me a lot because I use it all the time.
This method on the link below worked and it is now working fine (the registry method):

Is it just me or the audio of this laptop is just terrible? After upgrading it to Win10 I have very low volume in some games, even @ 100% of my volume. When I come back to windows the volume is high but bad: poor bass volume, sound is not clear. Is there any good setting that I can use in Nahimic to have a higher audio quality? The sound of my previous MSI laptop was so much better
-
Make sure nahimic is actually working on your machine. Turn it off and on with a song playing and make sure you can notice difference.
Crank the volume booster all the way up. The sound is lower compared to sound blaster cinema 2 times, but it's still loud enough, unless you want walls vibrating from the volume.
Hopefully they'll provide some kind of newer drivers later on to make this even better... -
When will the New gt72 with 6700hq release in germany anyone any gueses?
And i read that the New gt72 with 5700hq is hotter than the version before (4720hq) is that true? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Any new model would require a CPU to actually be released by Intel.

Looking at a specific model (GT72 2QE-610US), but I can't seem to find a lot of information on it.
Anybody know what kind of display panel it has? Is it the old TN panel (the Chi Mei) or the new IPS panels? -
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
Due to the release date I would say TN.

You're right there isnt much information about that model at all. What I could find is the CPU was a 4th gen. The GT72 models with the 4th did not have IPS screen, at least in the US market. The 444 and 445 models were the only exceptions but they also had a higher CPU (Intel i7-4980HQ)
We saw the switch to IPS for most GT72 with the 5th Gen CPUs. -

Hello everyone.
I just return an Asus G751JY due to bad cpu temps ( 90-91ºC playing, and 94-96ºC in stress tests).
I'm wondering Whether to buy another Asus G751Jy with i7 4720HQ,16GB,GTX980M 4GB ,SSD 256GB+1TB,BD (my previous unit had a i7 4710HQ )
Or for a similar price (70-80€ more cheapest) to acquire an MSI GT72 2QE-1623XES (Spanish model) , Which has to a Broadwell i7 5700HQ,16GB,GTX980M 4GB and only 1TB (without SSD)
I have two questions:
What about temps with an i7 5700HQ under load??
If I Buy this MSI GT72 (which does not bring SSD M.2 disk by default) , maybe not include the caddy/adapter for M.2 Hd´s or later Have to be Purchased separately ?
Where Could I buy it ?
Thanks and sorry my bad english. -
I bought the gt72 without SSDs (1TB HDD only) and the caddy is in there
Its the 4th gen cpu so cant comment on the rest of your queries

Do any of the Stealth or Ghost models w/ 5700HQ have IPS displays? -
-
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
There is part of the advantage of dealing with a reseller who actually knows their systems properly
-
-
Meaker@Sager Company Representative
All the M.2 slots are on the same card, you just remove the adapter and turn it over to access the other two slots.
-
Support.3@XOTIC PC Company Representative
I don't think the Stealth or Ghost have an IPS, just the Dominators do, with the exception of the 4K Ghost models.
