@Phoenix wonder if I should get the GT73 for 7820HK benching purposes.
Got a good offer on a used 7RF model, same as your stock config I think? -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
Are you able to test it before buying it? I just wanna see if it has a good binned 7820HK since it's used, one must wonder why the original owner is selling it. I dont want you to have a 7820HK that can't hit 4.2 GHz
you need to undervolt it by -100mV, raise the ICC Core Max fom 75A to 100A, increase Turbo Power limits from 200 to 230W and test in AIDA64 before you buy it to see how well it does in a 5 min stress test -
Owner never broke the seal on the box.
Sorry, it wasn't used but more like a buyer's remorse in this guy's case.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

go for it and tag me when you get it for your free tweaking session (if you want). I only do this for EVOC Gaming Team Members but j00 are my old friend

Been using my new GT73VR 7RF today and finding the included SSD drive slow - I've run tests with AA SSD benchmark and although the regular read and write seems fine - the 4k one was showing 1mb a second. The drive mine came with is a Toshiba THNSN5256GPU7

With the new Windows 10 creator update my laptop can't wake up from sleep, the screen stays completely blank. I have to hold down the power button to manually reset the PC.. Any help with this?
I have the GT73VR 7RF -
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
I just tried this on my laptop, it woke up just fine. Mind you though this is a clean install of Windows 10 Creators update with all of the garbage removed like Telemetry, Windows Defender, Cortana, etc.
I suspect your issue is because you have upgraded from the factory image. Upgrades never go so well.
Before you do anything, ensure you have all your drivers updated:

I'll try updating the intel GPU driver and nvidia driver, which one of these MSI apps controls the switching between dGPU and iGPU. If all else fails is there a way to do a clean install of Windows without losing activation?
-
Spartan@HIDevolution Company Representative
your laptop will be activated the moment you go online again (hardware based activation)
SCM is the one responsible for switching GPUs -
This is very important. Without SCM you will have a headache dealing with the iGPU and switching between "i" and dgpus.Spartan@HIDevolution, DukeCLR and GenTechPC like this.

Mine works fine. Though I have an issue where mine won't automatically go to sleep no matter what I set in power configuration. I can manually do it or shut the lid and it works.DukeCLR likes this.

Have you try update the Intel Management Engine driver ?

@Phoenix Did you receive any notification from MSI on laptop "Major Update", I did and I install it and nothing happened and wondering what actually was the Major update from MSI....?....any idea.... -
I can test your own benchmark project
So this is my first benchmark with fire strike.

Spec:
GT73VR 6RE TITAN
Bios version: E17A1IMS.10A
Vbios version: 86.04.56.00.3A
Driver version: 378.92
Turbo mode set as default:
CPU +40 all core
GPU 0 core clock offset / 200Mhz Vram clock offset
Gsync & Vsync enable
Could you tell me if it's good or not ?
Im wondering because i have some problem actually.
1) When i start the laptop many times i have black screen after the MSI logo, i need to reboot manually
2) When i do ALT+TAB in Heroes of the Storm i have some vertical green line, i don't know how to say in english :/
Also when i play, sometimes black screen and vertical line appears
3) I have only 5 fans curve on my DGC (CPU) is it normal ?
I will appreciate your help
I gonna make a 2nd fire strike test with the newest nvidia driver 381.65 after uninstalling with DDU. And check if vertical line appears in game.
PS: How to insert screenshort in my post properly ? Shame on me :/
Thank you,Last edited: Apr 7, 2017 -

what major update? I received nothing. Mind you I'm on a clean install not the OEM factory imageDukeCLR likes this. -

Mine draws upwards of 100w+ because of the voltage I need at such speed. You have excellent temps at such speed, awesome!
SSDs are no joke and PCI ones are even better. Right now SSDs are so fast, even the SATA ones are good enough for normal use with super speed. -
Turned off windows write-cache buffer flushing on the device. That's what improved the performance no end.

Must be the conductonaught
Speaking of voltage do you know of any way to adjust LLC, I would really like to fix the godawful vdroop on this laptop. If voltage stayed the same under load I wouldn't need to increase it at all

I installed that update in Sweden! but where is the close button!!!and how to close this popup !!

Yeah it's pretty good and temperature is about right.
1: Try it few more times see if problems goes away, if the issues still there it could be RAM or loose RAM causing it.
2: If it only happens in Heroes of the Storm then it could be just that particular game issue, try other games to test. Maybe different nVidia drivers will make difference.
3: I wouldn't worry about it since it's control by BIOS.
For insert screenshot just click "Upload A file" and then browse your image files.

Hi,
This what im talking about :/ How can solve it ? What's wrong ? :/
Thank you :/ -
Try update nVidia drivers first see how it goes.
-
I make the previous video with the new Nvidia driver 381.6, black screen and green line appears again :/
If i remember well, yes it is only in HoTS the problem is here.
Also I did new benchmark with Fire Strike (381.65):
I don't find "upload a file" to insert a screenshot :/
Thank you, -
I did with 381.65, the problem is still here
-
How about try other games?
-
No problem in other game.
I will try to install only nvidia driver with custom install

I know but for me adding -dx9 doesn't work..
1) With no -dx9, game crash definitifely and error code Gfx API error
2) With -dx9 i have exactly what you see and my youtube video :/
