I haven't played Crysis 3. If the game does not offer enough AA options (Anti Aliasing) then you will have to nvidia control panel to try force better/higher AA.

Hey guys. I spilled some kool-aid on my keyboard, but it ended up surviving. However, the glowing red LED light strip seems to have turned off. I spilled it mostly around the left section of the keyboard, pretty much from ESC following a diagonal line down to B. It's not a huge deal to me because that strip was kind of annoying, but I'm curious as to why it shut off. I could have potentially bumped something when I tore my laptop apart but I don't think that's the case. Ideas? Is there a manual plug somewhere?

Hi guys, I have bought the MSI GT80 recently (6QF) and it worked flawlessly beside one quite an annoying issue. Whenever I shut my Titan down and boot it some time later, it either takes ages for the windows to startup or most likely, the screen completely blacks out but still with the cursor present after I logged in. My current OS is Windows 10 Home and have every single driver or windows updates updated. Please give me some suggestions if any of you have encountered and/or solved this problem before! Much appreciated!!! :)

That could be it. I don't mind much because it's a bit annoying how it can't be disabled normally. It's just a bit odd because it didn't spill anywhere near its electronics (I believe)!

    Hi again,

I disassembled my laptop quite a bit and moved the battery a bit. However when I put it all back together, it won't power on. No lights either, even when plugged in with AC. This is pretty annoying but I heard I should unplug the battery cable. What would be the best way to go about doing that?

I really refuse to believe my rig died already. I did spill kool-aid on the keyboard, but I fixed that. There is no water damage in the internals at all. Could I have moved a connector or something? I doubt it because they all look rather secure.

unzip the file, run the .bat for the first card, then after, run the .bat for the second one, there are instructions in the folder. also, important: remember to disable both cards in device manager before doing flashing. after you're done use NVidia inspector to verify you now have a modified vbios. enable both cards in device manager, and reboot. overclock and enjoy :) this vbios I linked works with the 980ms for the titan. do not use the 98x vbs with g-sync, that would be bad. you can flash back to the original vbios found on the msi support page for the titan whenever to revert. just be very careful, google for step-by-step instructions as I did. hope that helps.

People, I want to remind everyone that Prema's work is to be only seen/downloaded etc directly from his page. It is important to read the full disclaimer at the frontpage and make sure to only use the vbios provided by him directly to ensure you are using the latest/correct vbios.

Don't host the files elsewhere to avoid sharing old vbios that could contain unfixed issues.

Yep, which is why the post is still there ;) I deleted the password (which is on the site) because it is important for people to go to the webpage and read up. The last thing we want is a mistake costing a good GPU to some user that does not fully know what's up haha.

Just avoid any driver unless you need it. If games are working, then keep your current drivers. If a new game comes out and has horrible performance and you need new drivers, try them. Otherwise enjoy your currently working drivers.

Hey, I have another question. I just noticed that whenever I wake up my computer from sleep, I get the same large grainy square that mason2smart and Ironjer got. I was just wondering, has anyone found a solution to the problem? I am also running the latest Beta BIOS. It is a very minor issue as the cursor goes back to normal once I go to the login screen, but I was just checking to see if there was a solution to the problem. Thanks in advance. By the way, I am on a GT80 SLI-263 running Windows 10.

I can say with conviction, cooling pad is useless, elevate the pc with the ac brick, and you have a free and effective cooling system, check my test in previous post, sry can't remember nbr of the post,
    Then save your money

I don't think sli is used at all in any of the games, except the vive performance test. I never disable sli so can't be sure, will try to remember to do that later. for now, one 980m card is powerful enough to play any current game. I've been told hover junkers and the blu underwater whale experience are the two most graphically intensive games. they run fine, though bumping up AA to 8x has given me a couple frame rate hiccups according to my headset once or twice. if I overclock the card to 135/150 its never an issue.

so no microstuttering, at least not with sli as I don't think sli is being used. this might change one day, we will see if the sli helps or not. Honestly, while I thought the Titan wasn't as stable as the GT72s with the 980 desktop card built-in, turns out my minor glitches and grey screens were being caused by the base stations. I moved the base stations a little closer together and they are now perfectly aligned and I almost never have any problems gaming.

two best games right now; audio shield and vanishing realms. fantastic contraption and tilt brush are also two fun freebies.

A single 980m with a small nice overclock is already on GTX 970 stock desktop territory which is the minimum recommended for VR and thus it runs great.

Unless something changes my Vive supposedly ships in June. I look forward to it! I am sure SLI VR will eventually come, but for the time being, everything will be single GPU.

I don't think there has been a solution for this yet. It's one of the newer issues and since prior to BETA BIOS the sleep function didn't properly work, I am not sure many users are researching into it. The good thing is it disappears when you log in. It would be so troublesome if it remained all the time haha. If you find any info let us know.

I use Cooler Master U3, but it's performance only helps mostly on Idle and low power use. When you are gaming or doing intensive tasks, I found my temps to be largely the same, maybe 1 degree less at times.

As far as we have found out it does not properly use the extra power. It would be great to try and confirm but I believe there is a power limit that tries to prevent the system from drawing too much power? Maybe it can be done... if I get some disposable income around xmas, I will try it with unlocked vbios and pushing the system hard.

I don't think you activate it, just use it. The software installed I think only serves to visualize the use, not activate it. on BIOS you can configure if you want the USB charging to keep working while the computer is sleeping or off I think.

I think charging fast is not... fast as an AC adapter, but at least 1amp or so. And I think it only works for iphones? The point was that it actually provided enough current to charge rather than the mere .5amps max of a regular usb.

There is a software that came preinstalled but I uninstalled it. It was called .... super charger? fast charger? But I think it only showed you if something was connected.

For batteries it's better contact MSI direct for price and availability since resellers don't stock batteries. If the batteries is stored in the warehouse then most likely the battery cell will died after 6 months.

So if you contact MSI direct they will quote the price for you and usually take 4 weeks to ship since they will make it brand new from the factory.
