If a package is lost, the typical process is to file a shipping claim and investigation from shipper side because that's not something you can initiate from your side. MSI isn't fully responsible because they aren't the courier, but they failed to require signature for such expensive product. Try to get their supervisor on the phone with you to see what can be done to resolve this issue.

I Already did that,
his name is (Kelvin Wong) ,he filed the claim, but refused to follow up with my case,
I told him to dispute Fedex decision becuase this is what fedex rep told me to do, but he refused, and told me to check with neighbors and hang up the phone on me and never responed to my voice mail agian
I have attached the emails between me and him if you want to know ,
i believe that MSI has to work on customer service really well becuase they will lose a lot of customers becuase of their customer service team -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
You can request for the outcome of investigation by FedEx. Prove that the signature is yours.
Sometimes, these couriers (not just FedEx) can deliver to the wrong address, and it is likely yours is sent to the wrong address. But you shouldn't be the one who checks with neighbors for your package. -
hussamalnajjar2012 Notebook Enthusiast
Yes I already did, but they told me if you want to have more information, MSI has to request them , I can't do that by myself, and MSI refused to involve in my case any more,
It seems that Fedex trying to refuse to take the responsibility -

Curious to know as well. -
It’s strange that recently two senior members of MSI Notebook UK team have jumped ship to ROG.

How is the build quality between the GP and GE compare? And the cooling? I am debating between these two machines - the GP is lighter than the GE - so I am guessing more plastic?
MSI GP Series GP63 Leopard-428
MSI GE Series GE63 8RF-099CA
I have never owned a MSI laptop - so this is new to me (currently own a 5 year old Lenovo gaming laptop getting long in the tooth
)
-
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
GE is better than GP in terms of quality and performance, but GP is cheaper.
-
Thanks for the response.
Is the improvement in performance/quality worth an additional $400 for the GE? -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
That will depend on what you are going to use the computer to do, and whether the different specs will matter to you.Last edited: Jul 2, 2018 -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Regarding both models, their spec are very close.
MSI GP Series GP63 Leopard-428 (Newegg-only SKU)
MSI GE Series GE63 8RF-099CA (Amazon CA SKU)
GE has 256GB SSD while GE has 128GB.
Not sure if the shipping cost is the same if they ship it from the US to Canada, so you will have double check on that. -
I have not seen any reviews on the MSI GS73 Stealth-016 anybody own one??? what are the temps like when gaming? im interested in possibly purchasing do to its 5.35 weight. Is it max q or full 1070?? (some websites have it posted differently) Has anybody got a disassembly video? Anybody did a repaste with LM and fujilopy pads and did it make a difference with pads? (LM should make a major difference cpu wise)
-
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
It should be the same 1070 with Max-Q design. -
Thanks for the responses.
I will be using it primarily for gaming
- I play all genres-both old and new.
Both are sold and shipped by Newegg Canada, so shipping and taxes are the same.
Some other differences: the GP has 2666 RAM but the GE has E2500 LAN and 4 speakers... The GE has the fancy lighting, including the lid, which I would turn off. I suspect that under the hood there are other differences as well.... hence the performance questions.
Thanks for the help though.Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
CPU/RAM/GPU are identical, so the only thing is that the 256GB SSD can be slightly faster than 128GB in some cases but most likely identical performance.
If you want other fancy features, plus that extra 128GB, and slightly faster SSD then the cost will be worth it.
One more thing to note is that the thermal capacity, GE may have more thermal capacity than GP which allows you to drive it harder so you get more out of GE than GP although their primary specs are similar.Donald@Paladin44 likes this. -
GT75 Question....
The MSI PDF (G01_MS_17A3_v2.0_English) states that there is a downgrade to 2400MHz if going above 36GB of RAM.
Is this due to the amount of RAM (Going over 32GB) or slot 3&4 being used?
What its boiling down to for me is the decision of purchasing:
2x 16GB @ 2666MHz
4x 8GB @ 2666MHz
Preference is Corsair Vengeance,
-

Seems like a design limitation due to signaling.Papusan likes this. -
You didn't answer my question.
Let me rephrase it.....
Is it a design limitation due to:
A) The amount of TOTAL AMOUNT RAM (Going over 32GB).
B) The slots 3&4 don't support 2666, only 2400MHz. -
In short they say they won’t support fast ram in 4 sticks configuration.
Same also... No guarantees you will be able to use the coming 32GB sticks.Donald@Paladin44 and Kevin@GenTechPC like this. -

Hi guy
Update :fedex finally accepted my lost case
But MSI told me they will send a refurbished unit which I refused ,
And they don’t want to cooperate with me
I still don’t understand why msi involved in this case ,at the beginning they told me it is not there problem
And now they want to send a refurbished model
Help -
Well a refurbished u it with balan e of same warranty or longer is not the end of the world. See if you can negotiate something better than what you had. Either more ram or addition nvme SSD. The refurbished unit will have undergone testing and passed. I doubt you even be able to tell. U have done well w the length of time you have been dealing with a this. Good luck and post your outcome.

Is the KINGSTON HyperX IMPACT DDR4 2666 CL15 compatible in the GT75 TITAN 8RF-051CA?

Hi guys, my question is the following: on the gt80s 6qe, what is the brand/serial number of the power jack ? Thank you in advance. (charger I posses model: ADP-330AB D)

Enabling XMP
Is XMP enabled in the BIOS or do you have to enable it yourself to take advantage of the higher clock settings available in some brands of RAM?

I just started up my GT75.
I did the W10 update, remove the .old folder, got rid of some bloat and started up the user profile.
MSI keeps reminding me to do a BU, I have chosen to do a USB drive.
How big of a USB drive do I need? -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
To just make an image of your OS, drivers & utilities, you need 32GB.
An image, with for example Macrium Reflect or Acronis, is better than a back-up. Save the back-up for your creative content files. -
I did it with the MSI tool, should I do it over again?
Also ... I started the User Account, and I keep getting the Dragon Center requesting elevated permission prompt to run.
As I'm new to W10 and this notebook, how/where do I do the elevation/permission so it doesn't keep requesting this every time I enter the User Account?
*EDIT*
2 Day old notebook, should this be a warranty issue?

The MSI tool is fine, but Macrium Reflect is probably a better utility.
Can you provide a screenshot of the elevated permission prompt?
Your battery will stop charging anywhere in the 90s from about 92% to 100%. This is normal. -

You can turn off the UAC control.

Is it possible to disable the dedicated NVidia gpu in UEFI and set the display control to the Intel igpu on MSI laptops?
I am looking for an MSI model preferably with 17.3-inch display, ~100% sRGB coverage and good color accuracy, and space for a 2.5mm HDD for about USD $2,000 or less. -
So question for the MSI Rep;
Are there plans for the gt83 (or equivalent) to get either an upgraded monitor and/or i9?
The irony that the gt83 is most capable of high frame rate performance and has a 60hz 1080 monitor kinda makes it hard to justify. -
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
No plans that MSI is revealing at this time. -
Thanks @Donald@HIDevolution, I suspected as much. I won’t be purchasing anything until the dust settles from the (potential??) RTX 2080 launch, so I can live in hope until then.

Graphics card is not switchable. If you need 100% sRGB you are looking at MSI WT72 6QN-219US Quadro M5500 8GB since this is the model with IPS panel. TN panel will not be able to satisfy your requirement.
Checked with MSI and confirmed that there's no plan from MSI at this time. However, if there's any update then all of the resellers will be informed by MSI.hmscott and Donald@Paladin44 like this. -
Question for MSI Reps:
Just bought a MSI GT83 Titan, I am located in US. What Backpacks will work with large size gaming laptop?
I have search everywhere and no one seems to have the MSI Hermes BattlePack on the MSI website.
Thanks

Check some of the Better Known Outdoor Equipment Manufacturers/Stores , I used a Marmot Redrock for my 15.6", but the Padded Area isn't big enough for my new 17" GP73, though it will squeeze into the bag.

Will there be a future GT73 upgrade? Also where the GT73 series not covered by a 2yr warranty or were they only offerd with the standard 1 yr warranty plus 3 mths if registered online , I ask as I had purchased my GT73 through MSI as part of the upgrade and had always thought the unit was warrantied 2 yrs ?

You would be better served if you contact MSI directly with these questions.
Go to http://event.msicomputer.com/usagttradein/ to download the form. Fill it out and submit it according to the instructions. MSI
will then send you a follow-up email with more details about the program and how to proceed.hmscott likes this. -
I have GT80 Titan SLI. I was installing the 2280 SSDs and had to remove the screws from the bottom of the machine. I lost one of the screws. Do you know the size of the screw? It has to be a common size I can buy somewhere?
I opened a case with MSI electronically but it went nowhere. -

You can reach out to tech support team directly for this request. Please note that they may or may not charge you for the service.hmscott likes this. -
Pull 1 out, git to a local repair shop with it.
Probably 20 cents for it.
