Thank you guys. Ill be buying my laptop in a couple of weeks so I guess I wont be getting it. If I did wait that long I might as well wait for laptops to start shipping with the new RTX cards rather than the old GTX cards.

Hi, the msi PS42 wih the GTX 1050 Max-Q is already there but I heard that MSI showed at an event at Barcelona a version with a gtx 1060 Max-Q. So is possible a GTX1060 max-Q version coming out soon or with a more powerful graphic card than gtx 1050 max-Q? (If it's under NDA I understand).
Thanks! -
Policy violations is what causes this, this includes your actions OFF site as well. And the new set of regulations make them more like YouTube Gestapo, they will follow you to Twitter, FB, Reddit (Others) and if they don't like what they see, or your opinion ..... Good By.

@MSI Myco
I purchased a GT75 3 months ago, and since then I have had a problem that has been reported by other GT75 owners.
The complete loss of the Windows Touchpad gestures and the loss/deletion of Synaptic Touchpad from the mouse options and from 'Programs and Feature'.
I started this notebook and the options were there, it updated to 1803 and I lost the TP settings in both Windows and mouse settings.
Then update to 1809 and the subsequent patch did not restore the touchpad options, otherwise there were no issues with 1809.
The Synaptic DL from the product page, when installing, reports that it is installed. In fact it is in the registry and Task Manager, but the options in both Windows and mouse settings are not there.
Is MSI aware of this issue and will there be a patch or update released for this problem?Last edited: Oct 17, 2018 -

GT75 updated to automactally to W10 1803 v17134.320
Same thing happened.....
$3000.00 notebook without a proper working touchpad? WTF?! -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Can you check the driver in the device manager and find out the version you have in there? Did you try to install any official driver from MSI? -
I had TP settings in both category's.
It immediately updated to 1803.
1803 is what broke the system, I lost all TP settings.
1809 WAS fine, did not fix it the TP issues.
1809 v17763.55 update WAS fine, did not fix the TP issues.
Everything is up to date, current and installed.
Using MSI only drivers, no generic.
NO Windows TP settings. NO Synaptic TP setting in the Mouse Properties settings.
MSI is saying its Microsoft, Windows Support is saying its MSI, go there.
$3,500.00 (CDN) notebook and this is the service I'm getting.Attached Files:

Hello!
Why only the msi stealth laptop has a flipped motherboard? It makes it difficult to make any upgrades compared to other models. -

Yes, still very strange imo. I am also worried this particular design creates more heat near the keyboard especially in thin laptops

Does the P65 Creator 8RF-450 come with the limited edition package? I've read some conflicting reports.

AU4U cries for days all over the forum and gives MSI a bad name in every thread/post that has MSI in it calling them the worst company in the world for a little touchpad settings missing issue which is not their fault at all but rather Microsoft's latest Windows updates breaking it, then when I post the solution, he disappears. Typical troll!

Hello! I`m going to buy MSI GE75 8RF on amazon.es, but I live in Poland, and I`ll be using it in Poland. Will my laptop be covered by warranty also in Poland ? If so, for how long ? Thanks
-
Hello,
I own a MSI GT80 laptop, I bought it from a US supplier, ( I am based in the UK), unfortunately I am now in need of a new LCD screen and battery. I cannot find any supplier in the UK or EU, I have had to replace the screen previously and was slammed with an import tax nearly the value of the screen when I bought in the USA. Could you let me know the name of a UK or EU supplier of parts for the GT80? Thanks in advance. -
MSIGenoCompany Representative What can you say about the problem with the fans in MSI GT62 in this thread on the link https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=283511.0 there are a lot of people since 2017 asking for help and solutions, and other people around the world. And no one gave them an official answer and solution to the problem.
Fans just stop working in a laptop for 2000$. Some even after replacing the fans from the new lot still face the fact that the new fans also do not work.
Fan model AAVID THERMALLOY PABD19735BM. Can you tell representatives of AAVID THERMALLOY thet they made a working fans.
Tell us please. Who is responsible for the quality of these non-working fans AAVID THERMALLOY or MSI ?

But my appeal was not specifically for me. I wanted the MSI to know that their fans are not working massively AAVID THERMALLOY PABD19735BM.
And what would they say who is responsible for it? This is not just my problem. Many people have this problem.. People do not have a solution to this problem. They buy new fans, but new fans are the same, they die again. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
MSI would be the responsible party and they may be sourcing fans from multiple fan manufacturers, but only within reasonable amount of time (aka warranty period).
Manufacturers may also replace the part with better/improved part if they discover high failure rates with a particular component, or they can just swap to the other vendor.
A system that is about 3 years old may start experiencing all kinds of failures like hinge, battery, and fan depending on environment and usage.
PABD19735BM - Ball bearing
AB08812HX26DB00 - Fluid bearing
You've indicated that people buy new fans and they die again, it would help if there are more details, such as symptoms and the amount of time used. There could be other factors that were affecting the life of fans such as power.
Did you experience the same failure multiple times?
Ball bearing fans usually can last a long time, and it's the same for fluid bearing fans. It's usually sleeve bearing that dies quicker. -

Are you talking about this one?
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=283511.0 -
The problem is in the chip (fan) that is dying. I have 5 fans (PABD19735BM). Only 1 of them survived. The master in the service, after the diagnosis, said that he could not fix the fan, because he did not have the necessary chip. All 4 fans do not work because some chip is dying. Just 1 more person on the MSI forum said that he bought fans from a new batch with a serial number E33-0800582-MC2, after the old ones died. And one of the new batch also does not work.
So we can conclude that we have a dying fan chip problem (a multiple problem). In addition, there is still the problem of motor noise, which is less serious but still unpleasant.aaronne likes this. -
-
I also talked with one owner of MSI GT63 and he also complained about the motor noise of his fans.
-
There are still problems with the unstable functioning fans on the GE series. In which there were problems with the firmware.
https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=162459.0 -

What noise are you talking about? Dual ball bearing is noisier because of the faster speeds, you can't eliminate its noise due to its performance.
You can slow it down if you use a modified EC firmware with less aggressive fan curves. -
This noise is not because of high speeds. This noise is also present at low speeds 1000 - 1200RPM. It is at any speed. This extraneous sound. It seems that he is hitting (screech, grinding) something. like the sound of a little motor (engine). Every owner of Tornado F5 and MSI GT62 in this forum knows what i mean.
For the first time when I bought a laptop and turned it on, I heard this extraneous annoying sound. I was confused and did not understand it as it should be, or something was wrong with him. But all this is not the main problem.
The main problem is that the fan board (chip) dies, and it stops working, even new ones in a short time. -
Kevin@GenTechPC Company Representative
Although MSI doesn't manufacture the fans and housing but they are still the responsible party. However, I am not sure if they would make any exception to this in terms of warranty coverage if you wanted them to take responsibility beyond their warranty terms.Papusan likes this. -
I don't know what exactly they touch. Perhaps the coil itself touches the magnet, or cheap bearings make this sound moving balls. But these are all my guesses. But how did that person buy a new fan and he died right away ... How could he die so quickly?
And I don `t know why the fan board dies. Maybe this is because of voltage leap, or incorrect firmware signals, or defective chips. (My assumptions) This requires professional diagnostics.
I want at least the MSI took at least 1 such laptop (or at least one fan) and conducted a professional diagnosis. Because they have the authority and resources for it. And at least to identify the cause of the dying fan chips. And gave a working solution to these many people with this problem. (That is what these people do with this problem ?? When a new fan for 35-40 х2 $ does not guarantee a solution as it also has the same problem. Instruction.)
Also made it so that this would not happen again in the future with new laptops.Last edited: Dec 2, 2018 -

And it's not firmware signal which doesn't make any sense. The fan itself has no firmware and it's controlled via EC firmware that also controls the power aspect of the system. It's a simple cooling device.
The base principal is that all things will eventually break, and when that happens during warranty period then MSI covers your systems. So I would recommend to contact MSI directly to escalate your concerns as they don't always hang out here.
By the way, our customers never had fan issues with GT62VR, but this is just us.Last edited: Dec 2, 2018Papusan likes this. -
This means ( the fact ) there is a massive ( numerous\multiple) defect of the fans AAVID THERMALLOY PABD19735BM.Last edited: Dec 3, 2018 -
I understand that need to appeal in support of the MSI. But not everyone has such an opportunity, because for many the guarantee period is over, what do these people have to do ??
Besides, it will only solve the consequences of the problem. But not a solution to the problem itself. -
Keep in mind MSI is multiple branches. You have to contact MSI with the branch you bough it from to see what they can do about it. A sample of 20-30 might be too small for products that sell on the thousands, so try to focus on all the information you have found for your model and your tests/findings.
The problem might not be widespread enough yet, but you can start the notification about it so that future issues can be fixed.Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -
Hi I have a question about the Synaptics TouchPads that come with the GP Series. My newly purchased MSI Laptop is a Newegg exclusive GP63 Leopard-428 8RF. It comes with a Synaptics TouchPad and it does not seem to have Precision TouchPad Support in Windows 10 although MSI says all new products with an 8th gen i7 do and they even show a screen shot of the settings in Windows 10. I do not see the GP63 8RF listed yet.
https://www.msi.com/faq/notebook-3251
Is there a work around for this? I downloaded the latest TouchPad driver 19.5.31.11 from the MSI Driver & App Center and attempting a two finger gesture to scroll a page down causes all kinds of trouble. -

Is there any way the MSI rep can get me information on the ms-1815 motherboard and E1815IMS.10a bios for MSI GT83VR-6RE? I've already sifted through everything provided on the official msi website. I need information such as what the programming on the vddq levels are so that I can figure out which level to use for ram overclocking. Also, when the bios is unlocked with the key combo dram voltage is still listed as N/A with a drop down menu. Need to find out what other feature controls this or how I can change it so that I can clock my ram up to a stable 3000mhz or 3200mhz.
