    Should be today, when its in for repair, they are usually very fast.
    Most of the time is spent getting it there and having it shipped back.

    As far as I know, its been looked at and awaiting an email with details.
    Hoping its soon.

    They have had my laptop since Thursday.

    Got a reply, told me I would have to wait till the 26th, they did send me a picture of the dents. Its not that bad, its the ones that I got when my laptop was sent back and repaired

    So I`m not too worried, just hope it does affect things too much..

    no, I think it was just a guess if anything, its been looked at and I think its ok otherwise they would of said something. I guess its just in a Queue or something.

    I'm sure they are just busy, they have prob allocated 2 people for the trade ins. Still not helping though, no computer for 2 weeks or will be.

    I would say same, but I'm off to Scotland for a long weekend. So no computer till next week. Still not heard anything. Wish these things would be faster.

    They said I will probably hear something from the 26th of Jan, if it was the 26th of Jan.
    No doubt it will take a day or so for the monies to clear, even if I paid it on the 26th.
    They will probably ship it, Monday 30th or Tuesday, Given it takes 3 days, to ship it out from Poland, I`m guessing Next Thursday.

    Its all just a guesstimate, and equal to the 2 week turn around.
    I think that's how long an RMA with Msi takes.

    My RMA that had to replace my motherboard under warranty in the UK, took 9 days. Not working days, 9 normal days. I was quite impressed actually. That was door to door.

    That's pretty good turnaround, I guess it depends on how busy they are. Sometimes opening a ticket has taken a week or so other times its taken a day.

    Last time I sent my computer off, took about 12 days, their estimate was 2 weeks.

    Not knocking msi these things do take time and I'm sure there just busy dealing with other people's laptops but my God this wait is agonising haha I thought I'd be OK but I genuinely am so bored without my laptop

    Ah I'm in the UK but send them another email mate. I literally pestered them on Facebook and by email. Eventually they learnt my name haha think they got sick of me.

    Guys, haven't we learned anything yet? Impatience and pestering the MSI Upgrade Teams, doesn't improve response, introducing more emails for them to sift through only slows things down. They are few and every email interruption delays them from spending time on the upgrade process for everyone.

    If you haven't heard from them for a week, sure send them another email, but if you are in process and it's been a day or two, let them work through the process, and you are likely not the only owner they are working with.

    People are watching this thread for changes, news, and we really don't need daily posts from everyone still waiting, especially multiple daily posts, adding up to dozens of noop posts, just to tell us that nothing has happened.

    Please be considerate and reduce the useless emails and posts. :)

    I`m sure MSI staff are just as pissed of, answering the same question 10 000 times a day.
    As for not reporting whats happening, this is the upgrade thread, we now have two confirms its going to be the 26th.

    I think without some of us reporting nothing, this thread would probably be dead.
    Anyway its not devaluing the thread, I guess others like to know what stage other people are at and as the last few posts, its going to be the 26th and new computer next Thursday.

    All depends if they want to ship on a Friday.

    Are you a mod on this site? Or just someone who thinks that they can run around telling others what they can post? I see you demanding a lot from others when it is basically none of your business. The ego on some people...

    Besides, you were never even going to do a trade-in anyway, yet you had no problem sending constant emails to MSI therefore cluttering the chain. Maybe if you wouldn't have continually bothered them, then maybe more people would have had their trade-in's done since MSI would have had more time to deal with people doing the actual trade-in. People doing the trade-in don't need your help when there are others here that have actually done it and can provide much better feedback than you.

    Maybe you should leave this thread to those that are actually interested in doing a trade-in or have done it. Just because you are the OP, doesn't mean people need your help...

    Has anyone received an updated today? I'm disappointed that there is still nothing. Having no computer is driving me crazy. so much for the 26th.I guess there is no point emailing them unless anyone has msi UK sale email.

    Who has had recent reply from MSI if they sent form back beginnning of Dec? I am passing the 6 week mark now and emailed them again in hopes of a reply for 3rd time

    Well msi decided to fix the dents on my computer and charged me £150. for its repair without consulting me.

    The dents came with my computer last time it was repaired. I didn't mention it as I didn't want to rna it and it was barely noticeable. But now I have to pay for its repair and transport costs wtf.

    So unknown what the final offer would be.

    So I'm trying to get some of the costs reduced I should hear back next week but it's going to delay my trade.

    It's lucky I'm working and cam cover it.

    They received my laptop this morning and i just got an email letting me know that they have already inspected my laptop and have processed the paperwork to initiate the refund and i should see it sometime next week. I feel for you guys that are without a computer. I would go absolutely crazy. Wife hates it but laptop is for the living room and the triple monitor desktop is in the office . Have to have my fix!
